Chapter 376
In the next second, there was an intense discussion.
“After all that, it turned out to be a case of the pot calling the kettle black!”
“I didn’t expect the truth to be like this.”
“No wonder Miss Grey said she deserved it!”
Jane’s face instantly turned pale. She stared at Rachel in fear and hatred.
Jane did not expect that Rachel was so despicable and had secretly audio–recorded it.
“Mr. Smith, is there anything else you don’t understand?” Rachel looked at Louis with a half–smile ashe looked surprised.
Louis’s face turned black. “Didn’t you anticipate this all along? Did you plan everything?”
In other words, the current outcome is all part of Rachel’s plan.
Rachel snorted without hiding. “Even if I’m good at predicting things, am I right to say I can’t changeMiss Smith’s mind? Isn’t the current outcome a result of your actions and what you all deserve?”
If it were not for Jane’s malicious intentions toward her, things would not have turned out like that.
Even if the Smith family wanted to hold Rachel responsible, Rachel would at most be considered actingin self–defense. On the contrary, she could sue Jane with the recording in her hand.
At that time, Jane would be doomed!
“Did Mr. Smith just try to turn the tables and treat everyone present as fools?!”
Louis felt as if something was stuck in his throat, and then Rachel sneered, “I can choose not to suethe Smith family for today’s matter, but I will keep it in mind!” With that, she turned around and leftwithout looking back.
The people were intimidated by her awe–inspiring presence.
The people could not help but step aside in succession wherever she went.
Who would have thought that Olivia’s necklace loss would lead to such a big scandal?
“Miss Grey, please stay,” the police officer in charge of interrogation suddenly spoke up.
Rachel stopped in her tracks and turned around. “Is there anything else?”
Facing Rachel’s mesmerizing face, the police officer was hesitant to look her in the eye. “As a suspectin the theft case, we must conduct a body search. I hope that you will cooperate.”
Rachel raised her eyebrows slightly. She had forgotten about that.
She opened her arms and remained very calm.
As expected, Rachel did not have the necklace that Olivia had lost.
However, when she turned around to leave, she coincidentally knocked over the trash can in thecorridor.
With a loud bang, it instantly attracted everyone’s attention.
“Oh! Miss Grey, how much resentment do you have?” Lisa remarked in a sarcastic tone. “This poortrash can is so unlucky. It sits perfectly fine initially, yet it becomes your punching bag now.”
As she spoke, she raised her hand to stroke her hair, Suddenly, she shouted, “Oh
no!”
Her expression and voice were very pretentious, incredibly pretentious.
It was as if she feared that everyone’s attention would not be drawn to her.
A sharp–eyed person immediately saw the necklace in the bunch of trash in the trash can.
“Was that the necklace Miss Cruise was wearing last night?”
“Looks like it!”
“Why is it in the trash can?”
“This trash can… Could it be that Rachel stole it?”
When Katy heard that comment, she could not help but sneer. “A bunch of idiots!”
Although Katy did not like Rachel, she believed that with Rachel’s identity and status, she would notsteal Olivia’s necklace.
The fate of Jane served as a warning to others, yet Lisa not only failed to learn. from it but also daredto plot against Rachel openly. If this is not stupidity, then what is?
She had been secretly competing with Rachel for decades but never gained the upper hand!
Olivia was courting death!
Eleanor glanced at her from the corner of her eyes. There was a hint of sharpness in her gentle gaze.“Please watch the show without saying anything.”
Katy discreetly pursed her lips and refrained from speaking up, silently observing how that fool eagerlytried to put herself in harm’s way.
