Chapter 390

Chapter 390

Hearing that, David had a frigid look on his face, giving an intimidating aura.

Rachel held his hand to comfort him as if she was stroking the fur of a lion that was on the edge ofgoing nuts.

She looked at Zion and said indifferently with her cold voice, “Mr. Summers, we’re practically strangers.I don’t know why you’re making jokes like this. Forgive me for being outspoken, but you’re going toofar.”

Hearing that, Zion chuckled, “Miss Grey, how do you know that we’re strangers?” Rachel looked atZion, confused.

She started thinking and was sure that she didn’t know Zion before.

She was 100% sure that this was the first time she had ever seen him.

Zion said, “John once showed me your picture.”

Rachel was speechless. It turned out that there was another person behind this.

Before she could say anything, Zion continued, “He owed me a favor before and I don’t think it’s toomuch for him to use you to pay me back.”

Not too much?!

These two people practically traded her without her knowing, and they even had the guts to say that itwas not too much!

Rachel snorted in anger and said with her eyes filled with coldness, “Mr. Summers, I’m sorry but I’m notinterested in you at all now and I will never be interested in you in the future!”

With that, she stood up and left.

Hearing Rachel’s blunt words, the cold expression on David’s face softened a little. He got up andfollowed Rachel out.

The two of them walked into the pavilion in the Summers family’s garden. without knowing it.

As soon as she stopped, Rachel turned around and hugged David’s waist. She looked at him with asequent smile, “Are you still mad?”

“My girlfriend is fooling around behind my back? You think I shouldn’t be angry?!” David looked down ather quietly, admiring her beautiful face.

“Fooling around is a term used to describe a person who is flirty,” Rachel explained with an innocentlook on her face, “first of all, I didn’t mess with him, and secondly, I didn’t flirt with him. Either way, it’snot my fault, right?”

David reached out his hand and pinched her face, saying, “Then it’s

my

fault

now?”

Rachel winked and sneered with her almond eyes sparkling wittily, “You said it,

not me.”

Before she could even finish her sentence, David grabbed her waist with one hand and held her tightlyin his arms.

He squinted his eyes with a hint of danger as they darkened. “Say it again?”

They were extremely close to each other, their breaths mingling together. She could feel the man’swarm breath on her face and it was a bit intimidating. Rachel raised her eyebrows and gave him abeautiful bright smile.

She stood on her tiptoes and leaned forward to sniff at the man’s collar. “I smelled jealousy.”

“Yeah, and if that jealousy doesn’t fade away, I’m afraid Rae–Rae will have to suffer a little tonight.” Theman lowered his head and breathed into her ear, causing Rachel’s body to tremble.

She struggled out of instinct but then she realized that he was so much stronger than her.

Rachel looked up into his dark eyes.

His gaze was flared up with obsession as if there were flames in his eyes, exposing his restless desirein front of Rachel.

Rachel became a bit breathless. Then she blinked at him calmly and stood on her tiptoes to steal a kissfrom him.

After getting a kiss, David finally let go of her.

Rachel instantly struggled out of his embrace and said, “With my background and looks, it’s notsurprising that I can attract a lot of men.”

“You reminded me of something.” David grabbed her wrist and walked out without saying anything else.

Rachel, who was following behind, was totally confused.
