Rachel chuckled. There was a hint of mockery in her eyes. “What’s the value of an abandoned pawnworth the Shain family taking the risk for?”
Old Mr. Shain had made his stance clear ever since he left.
Why would Old Mr. Shain risk his entire family’s future for Hannah if he had chosen to give her up?
Hannah staggered and almost fell to the ground when she heard that.
That’s right. Now the Shain family had dumped her. Why would they risk offending the Johnson familyto protect her?
Rachel admired Hannah’s ashen face for a while and said coldly, “Miss Shain, you have backbone andcourage. Naturally, you can bear the consequences of your words! You still have to take off yourclothes!”
Then she supported Old Mr. Johnson and turned to leave.
Rachel did not plan to let her take off her clothes at first. She just wanted to wait for Old Mr. Johnson toappear at the right time.
In this way, the Johnson family had established its authority in front of others and sold a favor to theShain family.
Unexpectedly, not only did Hannah refuse to accept it, she even cursed the Johnson family andinsulted Rachel. Then, Hannah would definitely have to pay the price for what she said.
Hannah had asked for it!
When Old Mr. Johnson left with Rachel, he vaguely heard the sound of clothes tearing behind them.
He frowned slightly and quickly left while holding Rachel’s hand.
The farce lasted until Thomas arrived later.
Hannah was trapped in the crowd. Her clothes were torn off, and she hugged her gown tightly with bothhands. Anyone who saw her like this would feel sorry for her.
However, now that Thomas knew the cause of the matter, he could not feel any pity for Hannah, hiscousin.
He walked into the crowd, took off his suit jacket, and wrapped it around Hannah. “Thomas…” Hannahcould no longer control her aggrieved tears at the sight of Thomas.
Thomas replied indifferently, “I’ve already informed Uncle. You don’t have to
come back after you go abroad.”
Hannah shuddered and widened her eyes in disbelief.
The man’s indifferent gesture was as if to say, “Yes, that’s what I mean.”
Her pupils trembled as she subconsciously grabbed Thomas’s wrist. “Thomas, I know I was wrong. Ipromise I’ll behave later!”
At this juncture, to send her abroad would be no different from expelling her.
She was afraid that if she went abroad this time, she would never be able to return to Seaxas.
Thomas remained unmoved in facing her pleading. He patiently raised his hand and patted her head.“Be good and listen to me.”
Then Thomas gave his assistant a look.
His assistant nodded slightly and took a step forward. He said calmly, “Miss Shain, it’s getting late, andwe should leave.”
Although Thomas was a gentle and honest man, he also had the decisiveness of a superior.
Once a decision was made, there was no room for negotiation.
Moreover, Hannah had caused such a huge mess this time. If they did not deal with Hannah properly, itwould be hard for them to explain to the Johnson family.
When Rachel saw the message from Mary, her lips curled into a fleeting smile.
Sending Hannah out of the country was both a punishment and a protection.
If something happened to Hannah abroad, everyone would naturally suspect that the Johnson familysought revenge.
Thomas was the only person with such a thoughtful mind in the Shain family.
“It seems that you have no objections to my treatment.” Thomas’s gentle voice sounded not far away.
Rachel looked up and saw Thomas in a white suit.
