Marina felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Her pupils constricted.

David had probably received Old Mr. Jones’s true teachings. Despite his calm and composeddemeanor, there was still a terrifying intimidation emitting from him. It pressed down on her heart for noreason, making her not dare to breathe.

Marina narrowed her eyes and stared at David.

David didn’t reveal any hint on the surface, but his delicate brows and eyes were hiding a ruthless aura.

“David, how dare you against me!” Marina pretended to be calm, but her low and gentle voice wasmixed with an uncontrollable tremble. It showed that she was afraid of David.

After all, David was the annoying brat that Mr. Johnson had personally trained! If he really went crazy,he wouldn’t care about any blood ties at all!

Marina would never forget how David had climbed to his current position!

She would never forget how David tortured his uncles who opposed his advancement bit by bit!

David looked up. His eyes were filled with coldness. “You can try.”

It was a light sentence, but it was like a heavy stone pressing down on someone’s heart, makingMarina hold her breath.

Rachel lowered her eyes. When she heard this, she looked up at the assistant. “I hope you’ll keep yourword.”

Hearing this, Olivia secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

The assistant glanced at the expression on Olivia’s face and quickly nodded. “Yes, yes, yes. Pleasedon’t worry, Miss Grey!”

“Then, let’s forget about this matter. We won’t disturb your rest anymore,” Olivia said calmly.

Rachel lowered her eyes as if she did not hear Olivia.

The smile on Olivia’s face faded. Before she could flare up, Marina let out a cold snort and said,“Hmph, let’s go!”

When Marina left with Olivia and the assistant, the atmosphere in the room was no longer asoppressive as before.

Jimmy sneered mockingly and said, “Tsk, Miss Marina will definitely go crying to her mother after beingwronged like this!”

“It’s been like this all these years, hasn’t it?” Landon looked at Jimmy. “We have gotten used to it longago.”

Hearing their conversation, Rachel looked worried. “Old Mrs. Jones, she…”
