The next morning, Rachel washed up and went downstairs for breakfast.

While eating, she looked up at David. “Lend me your car later.”

While Rachel was recuperating these few days, she planned to go to the studio to take a look at theproduction of the wedding dress.

Rachel’s eyes flickered with excitement.

David’s garage had more cars than Lucas, including many priceless car models.

She finished her breakfast quickly, eager to choose the car.

However, David spoiled the mood by sitting in the driver’s seat.

“You want to be a driver?” Rachel stood in front of the car and looked at David with raised eyebrows.

David smiled. “I’m your exclusive driver.”

Rachel thought that having the prestigious David as her exclusive driver was quite an honor.

Just like that, under David’s escort, Rachel successfully arrived at the wedding dress studio.

Yesterday, Mary had something on and didn’t go. Otherwise, she would have followed Jimmy to join inthe fun.

When Jimmy came back, Mary asked him about the horse ranch. He stammered and only said that hehad watched a horse race.

“Then what happened to your leg?” Mary handed the coffee cup to Rachel.

Rachel lowered her eyes and glanced at her foot, which was slowly starting to recover from the injury.There was a subtle cold glint in the depths of her eyes as she spoke, “It was just an accident.”

Mary frowned slightly and was about to say something when Rachel’s phone suddenly rang.

The words were on the tip of her tongue, but Mary had no choice but to swallow them. She picked upher coffee and took a sip.

Rachel swiped the phone screen with her fingertips and picked up the call.

“Rachel, it’s me.” Lily’s sweet and gentle voice came through the phone. “Rachel, it’s Dad’s birthday ina few days. He said that he misses you a lot/since we haven’t seen each other in these years. Hehopes that you can come home and have a good reunion dinner with our family.”

“Reunion dinner?” A mocking smile appeared on Rachel’s lips. “Do I know you very well?”

The bright light shone on Rachel’s flawless face, making the coldness between her – eyebrows evenclearer.

Hearing her words, Lily choked on the words she had prepared.

She pondered for a moment before speaking again. “Rachel, Dad has already forgiven you for whathappened back then. Why do you have to take it to heart and cause our family to drift apart?”

Rachel sneered and said slowly, “Family? But where were you when I was left to starve and freeze inthe snow?”
