David entered the room. When David saw Rachel’s panicked expression, he raised his eyebrowsslightly and asked. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s… It’s nothing.” Panicking, Rachel hurriedly lowered her eyes, not daring to look David in the eye.

Rachel had a feeling that David’s sharp gaze was piercing through her and that David was able to seethrough her.

David stepped forward and approached Rachel. Slowly, David forced Rachel towards the closet. All ofa sudden, David stretched out his arm to press against the closet door which was behind Rachel. Withhis hand on the side of Rachel’s face, David slowly bent down and leaned forward.

David’s handsome and well-sculpted face slowly inched towards Rachel’s face.

Their faces were mere inches apart and they could clearly feel the breaths that the other person wasexhaling.

Rachel’s eyelashes fluttered as she panicked.

“But you’re obviously hiding something from me,” David said as he stretched out his finger and liftedRachel’s chin. David stared at Rachel intently.

“Rachel’s good in everything. However, there’s one thing that Rachel is not good at, and that’s lying.

“Every time Rachel lied, her eyes would move around. It was as if Rachel was feeling guilty aboutsomething that she had done.” David thought inwardly.

“I… I have nothing to hide from you,” Rachel quibbled with a weak voice. Rachel’s eyes were movingaround as she tried not to look at David. However, Rachel couldn’t help but sneak glances at thecabinet.

David followed Rachel’s line of sight.

“Look at me!” In a panic, Rachel tugged at David’s head and turned his head to face her. At the sametime, Rachel tiptoed and kissed David on the lips.

The sudden kiss surprised David and he felt flattered.

Perhaps it was David’s natural reaction, he quickly took the initiative of the kiss although David wassurprised by Rachel’s actions.

David wrapped an arm around Rachel’s slender waist, while his other hand went through Rachel’ssmooth and silky long hair and held onto the back of Rachel’s head.

David deepened the kiss and kept asking for more. Domineeringly, David plundered every inch ofRachel’s breath.

Rachel could feel that the air in her lungs was slowly being taken by David and that her body wassoftening against David.

Instinctively, Rachel’s hands h**ked around David’s neck to replace support.

However, in the next second, Rachel felt a grip on her waist and she was lifted upwards. David hadactually carried her to the nearby jewelry table and placed

her on it.

Sitting on the jewelry table, Rachel was now on higher ground as compared to David. Rachel no longerneeds to tiptoe in order to respond to David’s kiss. Instead, Rachel just needed to lower her headslightly for her lips to touch David’s.

David’s gaze never left Rachel, and he noticed the flash of surprise in Rachel’s eyes. The corners ofDavid’s mouth curled upwards into a smile and he asked, “Are you satisfied now?”

“Huh?” Rachel’s almond-shaped eyes were glistening from arousal as she looked at David inconfusion. To David, Rachel looked as if she was an inexperienced demoness and was completelyunaware of how seductive and attractive she was

now.

David’s eyes darkened uncontrollably, and it was as if there was a spark of fire in the depths of his darkeyes. All of the emotions that David had kept hidden in the past were revealed now as he staredpassionately and hungrily at Rachel.

Rachel’s fingertips curled up slightly when she met David’s eyes which were dark and filled witharousal and desire.

“Are you… hungry?” Rachel was at a loss and tried to change the topic.

David raised his eyebrows and looked at her while his arm around Rachel’s waist tightenedinvoluntarily. His low and cold voice was filled with arousal as David. said, “Are you sure that you wantto talk about this with me now, under such. circumstances?” David’s hoa rse voice was exceptionallyseductive as he stared at Rachel.

The distance between the two of them was suddenly much shorter when David pulled Rachel towardshim. Rachel twisted her body uncomfortably and poked David’s firm chest with her finger.

Through her fingertips, Rachel could clearly feel the heat that was emitting from David’s body. Thesudden heat made Rachel’s heart sk*p a beat as she trembled slightly.

Rachel pursed her lips and looked at David tenderly. “Shall I cook tonight?” Rachel asked softly.

“Okay.” David lifted Rachel and carried her down from the table.

When the two of them turned to leave, David caught a glimpse of the box that was hidden under thecabinet from the corner of his eye. Pausing for a moment, there was a glint in David’s dark eyes whenhe stared profoundly at the box as

realization dawned.
