Hearing this, Georgia slowly raised her eyes to look at Landon. Her unfocused eyes revealed a hint ofpanic, and the corners of her mouth curled into a self-deprecating smile. “Even you are here to laugh atme now?”

“You brought this upon yourself.” Seeing that she was still unrepentant, Landon brusquely retracted hisoutstretched hand. “I warned you not to provoke her previously, but you ignored my words. Who canyou blame for your current situation?”

Upon hearing this, Georgia’s pupils constricted. She felt a vice-like grip around her heart as herbreathing slowed almost to a halt.

“I used to think you were pretty smart, Georgia, but your performance tonight has been disappointing.”

Landon had fought a bloody battle to stand out among his father’s numerous potential successors. Heknew how difficult life was for a concubine’s child, especially compared to a legitimate child.

Therefore, he had always chosen to turn a blind eye to his step-sister’s flattery and schemes.

Gradually, he had even agreed to Georgia calling herself his sister.

With her intelligence, Landon thought Georgia would know how to behave appropriately in such asetting. However, her performance tonight had let him down utterly.

“Rachel was able to participate in the international military selection and even received a personalinvitation from the head of state. Vulture, leader of the Red Flame Army, could never bring himself tosay a harsh word to her. Even the arrogant Blackhawk willingly became her loyal retainer. So manysigns indicated she was not normal like you thought.

“Even Jimmy and I knew to keep our heads down when we saw her, but what about you? Not only didyou maliciously speculate about her relationship with the Red Flame Army, but you even stirred uptrouble in front of everyone. Do you think that a mere rumor of Rachel’s past marriage could changeDavid’s mind?

“Besides, so what if Rachel has married before? Even Mr. Johnson cannot stop David from marryingher so long as David likes her. I’m warning you one last time, give up on replacing her as soon aspossible. Even if something happens to their relationship, there’s no way you’ll become the head of theJones family!

“If we were to talk about appearance, your looks can barely hold a candle to Rachel’s. In terms ofbackground, you’re just a mistress’s daughter. By following me around and calling me your brother, didyou think you would become a legitimate daughter of the Grey family?”

Here, Landon’s lips curled into a cold and mocking smile. “To think you even threatened Rachel withour family’s status! What would happen to you if the clan elders knew you behaved so impudentlybefore David? Do you have any idea?”.

Hearing this, a terrified look appeared on Georgia’s face.

She swallowed her saliva but could not say anything.

“Back then, I allowed you to stay by my side because you were aware of your limits, but you must havelost your self-awareness. You don’t have to stay by my side in the future.”

Landon did not spare another glance at Georgia. As soon as he finished speaking, he turned to leavewith a cold and determined expression.

Georgia, who was still rooted to her spot, began to panic. She pounced on Landon and grabbed hispant legs tightly. “Landon, I was wrong. I… I will never make such a mistake again. I will never fightwith Rachel again!”

“Georgia, some mistakes can’t be erased by a single apology. Out of the corner of her eye, Rachel spotted Blackhawk leaning against a Roman pillar with his armscrossed.

The man’s eyes were narrowed as though he were making secret calculations in his mind.

Rachel gestured for David to go back first. After he left, she walked over to Blackhawk and said quietly,“I had to give her some face.”

“Since when did you become so reasonable?” Blackhawk turned around and leaned lazily against thepillar. He scanned Rachel calculatingly from head to toe. “The Twelve I know has always beenvengeful. Humiliating your enemies has never been a problem for you.”

If it were up to Blackhawk, he would have flayed Georgia within an inch of her life. Well, if he didn’t killher, that is.

How dare she make up rumors about Twelve in front of him? Was she tired of living?

“Probably because her brother is a friend of the man I love?” Rachel said self-mockingly.

Hearing this, Blackhawk felt overwhelmed with disgust. Looking at her contemptuously, he said, “Littlegirl, listen to your older brother’s advice. Romance is romance. Don’t take a man too seriously or treathim too nicely. Most importantly, don’t let yourself suffer for his sake.”

He unfolded his arms and placed a heavy hand on Rachel’s shoulder. With a serious expression, hesaid earnestly, “Apart from yourself, there’s nothing else in this world that’s worthy of your suffering.”

Everyone in the Red Flame Army treated Rachel like their younger sister.
