“David, we won’t be leaving anytime soon, right?” Jimmy handed the pork skewers to Mary andgestured for her to try them.

Mary was stunned for a moment and quickly reached out to take it.

“Yeah,” David replied indifferently. He handed Rachel the bottle of coffee that he had placed a strawinto. “What’s the matter?”

“Aren’t we targeting the plots of land around South Valley?” Jimmy asked calmly.

Hearing this, a dark look flashed across Rachel’s eyes.

However, there was no expression on her face. She just continued with her food.

He smiled awkwardly and said, “Come, come, come. Let’s eat.”

After dinner, the group parted ways at the barbeque stall.

Rachel leaned lazily on David’s shoulders and fell asleep after she got into the car.

“Sleep well.” David wrapped his arms around her waist and lowered his head to kiss her forehead.

Rachel was really exhausted.

When she opened her eyes again, it was already nine in the morning.

After changing her clothes, she got up and went downstairs to eat.

She looked around but did not see David.

Mrs. Brown’s eyes hid a smile as she explained, “Mr. Jones went out this

morning because he had something on. He specially instructed us not to wake you up.”

Rachel nodded and continued sipping her soup.

At this moment, a text message suddenly popped up on her phone.

Rache’s eyes flashed with cold hostility when she saw that the message was from Hans Grey.

The message basically said that today was her mother’s death anniversary and that he wanted to visither to pay his respects.

Rachel’s red lips curled into a mocking smile. She thought, “He sure knows how to shed crocodiletears.”

She quickly ate, tidied up, and left the house.

“I have a private matter to attend to. You don’t have to follow me.” Rachel glanced at Chris beforebending over and getting into the car.

Chris hesitated for a moment and finally decided to follow her from afar.
