Rachel stretched out her arm and hooked it around his neck. She looked up at him, her clear almond–shaped eyes sparkling with a smile. “It’s all because someone appeared at the wrong time just now andruined my good mood for nothing, causing me to say something wrong in a moment of distraction.”

Although she did not specify who that person was, David knew very well.

He reached out and caressed the woman’s soft lips. His deep gaze darkened and his Adam’s applebobbed. “So? How do you plan to atone for your sins?”

The man’s cold aura lingered at the tip of her nose and wrapped around her tightly.

Rachel’s hand that was hooked around his neck slowly slid down. Her fingertips curled as she tightlygripped the shirt in front of his chest. She raised her head and was forced to accept his kiss.

The passionate aura spread from the two of them and filled the entire back of the car.

“Not satisfied,” David said as he leaned forward and kissed her lips again.

They were in the car, and the driver and Eddie were sitting in front.

David’s head was still buried in her neck. He gently caressed her tense back with his palm as hechuckled softly. “What are you afraid of?”

Rachel cleared her throat with an unnatural expression on her face. She snorted softly. “What do I haveto be afraid of?”

“Is that so?” David’s deep and cold voice was hoarse and tinged with a hint of passion. He looked up ather with an overly hot gaze. “If you’re not afraid, why are you so nervous?”

Caught off guard, she met the man’s dark and deep eyes. Her eyelashes fluttered. “W–who said I wasnervous?”

She tidied her shirt and turned around to sit at the side.

Unexpectedly, David placed his hand on her legs and grabbed them.

Rachel sat back down on his lap. Her body suddenly stiffened when she felt something hard againstthe base of her leg.

The blush on her cheeks burned all the way to her ears, and her heart pounded vigorously.

Just as the atmosphere became awkward, Rachel’s phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Linda.“Ms. Grey, we just received a notice from the person in charge of the summit. He wants us to set offearly tomorrow to Titia.”

Rachel did not expect the summit to be brought forward. She was a little surprised, but she quicklyorganized her thoughts and said calmly, “Alright, I understand.”

After hanging up the phone, she looked up and met David’s deep eyes.

After opening the door, she got out of the car first without changing her expression. David followedclosely behind.

The two of them walked into Sandalwood Hills.

“Mr. Jones, Miss Grey.” Mrs. Brown quickly came forward to greet them when she heard footsteps. “Mr.Jones, Miss Waller has been waiting for a long time.”
