Beyond the Divorce by Third Blossom
Chapter 1470 He Can Only Assist

That revelation instantly caught everyone's attention, igniting a collective curiosity about how Atlas had learned this 'secret'.

To the gathered crowd, Atlas seemed almost supernatural, possessing an uncanny ability to uncover hidden truths. How did he seem to know everything?

With a subtle smirk, Atlas calmly began to unravel the mystery. "Although my grandpa had a DNA test done to confirm that you were his daughter, the blood used for that test belonged to my father."

Atlas disdainfully remarked, "How cunning! Adeline had already bribed the doctors and nurses long before your birth. Of course, she paid the hefty sum to cover up the true identity of her illegitimate child's father, Kevin, the head of the Ellis family. "But fate works in mysterious ways. Kevin overlooked one crucial detail. Thanks to the 'secret' you created, one of the doctors and nurses had a love affair.

"You inadvertently provided me with the clue, Celine. A simple investigation revealed the doctor and the nurse's affair, which led to their falling out.

"Thus, I knew you were Kevin's illegitimate daughter a decade ago. Do you understand why I allowed you to stay in this mansion?"

Celine's clenched fists betrayed her unease.

"I wanted to fatten you all up like pigs ready for the slaughter. Since you relied on the Pierce family for sustenance, it was only natural for me to return to claim what rightfully belonged to us."

Atlas's words resonated with an undeniable authority, instilling a sense of fear in everyone present.

"Atlas, you're crazy!" Celine seethed and glared at him.

"Crazy? That's rich, coming from you."

Atlas's patience had worn thin. He scanned the faces in the hall with a furrowed brow. "That's enough chatter. Anyone who attended this banquet tonight is inexorably linked to Celine. There's no escaping that."

His words sent a shiver down everyone's spine.

"If any of you dare betray the Pierce family, you know where you stand. Those who belong to our team will naturally return, while the rest won't waste my time on you

Even though he delivered his statement calmly, it had an underlying threat that left everyone too afraid to say anything.

Kevin approached Atlas. "I was wrong, Mr. Atlas."

"Where did you go wrong?" Atlas's question cut through the silence in the air.

"I shouldn't have listened to Adeline and helped her seduce Mr. David. I..."

"That's between you and my grandpa. He'll deal with this. As a junior in the family, I can only assist him in doing so. The final say fies with my grandpa, not with me."

His words suggested a reluctance to meddle in the mess of the past, but the subtle implication of his 'assistance' was enough to scare everyone.

As the truth unfolded in the hall, some people retreated discreetly, intimidated by Atlas's unwavering resolve.

But Atlas wasn't done yet...
