Billionaire's Reborn Baby -
Chapter 1047 Roxy Copper One (2)
It was dark, and no one could see anything. The flashlight that someone used lit up people's faces. Collin did not wear glasses. He narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at the source of light. A little girl looked at him indifferently.
Her eyes made him slightly startled.
Soon, the child ran away.
"Let's go to our dormitory." The principal said as Collin tilted his head to take a look.
This remote school had a sanitation service station, but medical facilities, including medical personnel, were inadequate. Collin and his team's duty was to popularize the hygiene knowledge of residents in this mountain area, as well as the treatment of various simple diseases.
It was too late, and there was no light on the road. Everyone was tired and hungry. They followed behind the principal. They didn't walk for a long time but were tripped by stones. Some people had heavy luggage, dragging dust along the way. Everyone chatted in the dust, coughing as they talked.
After walking for about fifteen minutes, they finally arrived at a school.
It was better than they had imagined. At the very least, the school should have been newly built not long ago. It was still considered brand new, and the signs at the entrance were not painted. Collin carried a backpack and took a photo with a small flashlight.
"This place is a little stinky." Leon came over and pinched his nose, his tone a little muffled, "I'm about to faint from the smoke."
The principal actually heard his voice and smiled a little embarrassedly, "Well, we have a pig farm here. It's a little stinky. Sorry."
"It's fine. I've smelled a lot of different things in the hospital. I'm used to it," Leon said with a smile.
Everyone else laughed.
Collin took back his flashlight and followed everyone to the dormitory.
The so-called dormitory was about thirty square meters. It was full of bunk beds, which could be seen that it had been cleaned. They were clean, each layer covered with a plank and a quilt.
"This will be your room." The principal turned on the light. There was only a yellow light bulb in the room. It was not very bright. "As for water, it is available once a day, so it's all stored in the vat. If you want to use water, use the water in the vat. Don't waste it. The water in the vat can be drunk."
"You guys are drinking unboiled water?" Leon asked with his eyes wide open.
"Everyone drinks this way." the principal said, "We've all been drinking to this age, and we're not sick."
Leon gave him a thumbs-up in admiration. "You are healthy."
The principal laughed.
Collin put the hiking bag on the ground and began to pack up his luggage.
The principal pointed outside and said, "You guys pack up and come out for dinner."
Leon quickly thanked him.
As soon as the principal left, he collapsed on Collin's bed, "Oh my god, I can also smell the stench in this room. I can't take it anymore. I'm going to die."
"If you want to die outside, don't die on my bed." Collin placed the square electronic clock on the bed and pressed it under the pillow.
"Don't touch it!" Leon reached out to grab it but was slapped by Collin.
"Collin, you are really strange." Leon rubbed his hand that was hurting. "It's fine if you don't show it in the hospital, but why don't you show it to others when you bring it out?"
Leon went to Collin's office several times and could see this fellow sitting in front of his desk, holding the electronic clock very gently and putting it near his ear.
He was just a freak away from an examination report.
"Let's go and eat." Collin neatly put his shoes away and stood up.
Leon quickly put away his luggage next to Collin.
Although there were fifteen people, the others were not as experienced as Collin and Leon. They did not dare to get too close to Collin. They were like students who were afraid of meeting teachers and were respectful outside. This was the first time they were so close to each other. They lived in the same room. Everyone found a bed far away from Collin and arranged it. When they passed by Collin and Leon, they all lowered their heads slightly and said, "We go out first."
After Collin and Leon nodded, they bowed their heads and went out.
"Entrants want to volunteer to get extra points at the end of the year, but you wasted two spots for nothing. Those who can't come here will hate you to death." Collin hung the white coat on the head of the bed and put the portable scalper aside.
"It's fine, as long as you don't hate me. I'm risking my life to accompany you." Leon nudged Collin on the shoulder. "Since I've done this for you, why don't you iron my white coat tomorrow?"
Collin raised his foot and walked out, "Go away."
Leon rolled his eyes and followed him out.
When they arrived at the so-called canteen, Collin felt a little regretful that he didn't let his mother make some food.
On the way here, Leon had claimed that he was so hungry that he could swallow a cow. When he arrived here, he only drank a mouthful of soup. He didn't even eat rice, only staring at the dishes on the table. The cabbage didn't have much oil, and it was unknown if it was cooked or not. There was a pot of meat, but... it really was neither braised meat nor meat with seasoning. It was boiled meat with some chili. The principal was still greeting everyone, "We usually eat meat during the new year. Today, you guys come. The village chief killed his pig."
Everyone quickly thanked the village chief.
The village chief said something with an accent. Collin didn't understand. He probably didn't need to thank him. Then, the village chief took the lead and picked up a large mouthful of meat with his chopsticks. Leon felt a little nauseous.
Collin picked up a pair of chopsticks, took a bite, and said to the doctor, "Not bad, try it."
Leon picked up a pair of chopsticks and stuffed pork into his mouth. He resisted the urge to vomit and his eyes turned red. Then he said to Collin, "You win." Collin smiled.
After going back, half of the people lay outside the door and vomited.
Collin took a toothbrush and brushed his teeth. Leon was talking to his wife. He was crying with snot and tears at night.
After Collin washed up, he was still talking about how bad the meat was.
At eleven o'clock, the lights were suddenly turned off.
Leon's phone was off. He asked Collin in the dark, "Why the electricity is off?"
Collin closed his eyes and said, "The principal said that there was a power outage at eleven o'clock at night. Didn't you hear it?"
"Fuck! I didn't hear it!" Leon held the charger, looking around blankly, "When the electricity is available tomorrow?"
"No electricity in the day." Collin took out the blindfold and put it on. "Electricity is available from six to eleven o'clock in the evening." Leon, "..."
Life in the poor mountainous area had just begun.
Leon sadly washed his feet with cold water under the moonlight and then rushed into the bed.
Collin, who was in the neighboring bed, was playing with his phone. He looked over and was immediately shocked. "Your fucking phone is full of electricity?"
"Yes. It was charged before dinner," said Collin.
"Why didn't you remind me?" Leon asked angrily.
"I did it on purpose." Collin put down his phone and closed the blindfold again.
Leon, "..."
This guy deserved to be single!
