Billionaire's Reborn Baby -
Chapter 978 His Problem (2)
Although Lucy had no idea what was going on, she relaxed after making sure that these boys were on Emily's side.
"Since you are fine, we can leave now," one of the boys said. Then the boys waved at Emile and left.
Emily still stood where she was, thinking about why these boys wanted to help her. She was wondering if she had gotten something on them.
"You must tell me why they want to help you?" Marisa asked, raising her eyebrows.
Emile shook her head and said, "I don't know."
Marisa thought for a while. Then she covered her mouth with her hand and said, "You punched them but they didn't blame you. Instead, they want to protect you. Maybe they are..." Emily didn't know what Marisa referred to.
Marisa said in a low voice, "M." Actually, Marisa referred to masochism.
But Emily still couldn't get Marisa's point. Marisa took out her phone and searched for the word online.
After Emily saw the word, her face darkened.
Lucy leaned over and saw the word. Her face also darkened.
Lucy blushed.
Emily was rendered speechless.
After returning home, Emily was told that Carl had passed away.
Vincent wasn't home yet. It was not the right time for him to show up there. After Vincent paid tribute to Carl, he went to the Scavo's.
Rolando looked much older than before. He was looking at the phones he and his old friends took when they were fishing. Then he sighed and wiped the tears on his face. He said, "Vincent, people get old and die all the time. It's just a matter of time. I don't know how long I will live."
"Don't say that. You should enjoy the rest of your life and leave no regrets," Vincent comforted.
"Well, I have one wish," Rolando said after a hesitation.
"What is it?" Vincent asked.
"Forget about it. We can talk about it in a few years," Rolando said as he waved his hand.
Vincent understood what Rolando wanted to say. He held Rolando's hand, wanting to say something. But he didn't say it. Instead, he only said, "Take care of yourself."
After coming out, Rex asked gently, "Mr. Vincent, don't you want your own children?"
Vincent stood in the darkness as if he was invisible.
"It's not time to talk about it yet," Vincent said after a while. His voice was low.
"Your child will not experience what you had experienced when you were young. We are safe in Happisland City. Mr. Rolando wants you to have your own family. It is time to solve your problem," Rex said. Vincent remained silent. After standing in the cold wind for a while, he received Emily's call.
"Hello, Mr. Vincent? Are you with Randy?" Emily said softly.
"No." Vincent walked out and said, "Have you had dinner?"
"Not yet. I will have dinner later." There were some noises on Emily's side. Then Emily closed the car door.
"You got in the car?" Vincent asked and stopped walking.
"Yes, I need to go there. I will come back tomorrow morning. He is also my grandfather," Emily said.
After all, Carl used to be Emily's master, so Emily had to go there to pay tribute to Carl.
Vincent hung up and looked at the screen.
Rex leaned over and glanced at Vincent's screen. Then he saw Emily's photo on the screen. It was just a peek. But Rex could sense Vincent's cold eyes at once. Rex looked up and met Vincent's dark and gloomy eyes.
Rex dared not say anything.
He looked away at once, trying to act normally, and fanned himself with his hand, saying, "Why is it so hot tonight?"
But Rex sneezed after he said it. A cold wind blew.
Rex felt so awkward.
Randy hadn't eaten anything for a day. Jen pulled Lord Top to the corner and pleaded, "Please try to make him eat."
Lord Top nodded. She took over the food from Jen and carried it to Carl's room.
Randy was sorting out Carl's belongings. He folded every piece of clothing carefully. He saw the sunglasses Carl wore a lot when he was alive. Randy held the sunglasses in his hand, thinking about the way Carl wore them and how he showed off.
Lord Top opened the door, walked in, and put the food on the chair. She carried the chair over, bent down, and scooped some rice, trying to feed Randy.
"Captain Randy, you need to eat," Lord Top said.
"I don't want to eat anything." Randy shook his head.
"Captain, you said that you wanted me to feed you like this? Here I am. I will do it." Lord Top raised the spoon in front of Randy's mouth.
Randy thought of the time when Carl went to travel and cried again.
He ate the rice on the spoon and chewed hard.
Lord Top wiped away Randy's tears and scooped some meat and vegetables. Lord Top kept wiping Randy's tears while she fed him. After half an hour later, she went to the kitchen with empty plates. "Has he eaten all of this?" Jen said in surprise.
Lord Top nodded.
"Where is he?" Jen asked.
Lord Top pointed outside and said, "He went to mourn for Carl."
"Randy didn't sleep last night. Why doesn't he take care of himself?" Jen was worried about Randy.
"Don't worry. I will accompany him," Lord Top said and then walked out.
