Blind Date With A Billionaire By Sylvia Nancy -
Chapter 85
Chapter 85
At 7:30 a.m. the next day, breakfast was ready at Ronald’s house.
Although they were in a village, their breakfast was sumptuous.
Except for sandwiches and milk, there were shrimp soup, boiled eggs, dumplings, meat pies, and fruits on the dining table.
It was cold outside. The countryside was vast without so many people and cars, so the temperature was lower than in the
town.
Even so, Jackson still suggested eating outside. He said that the air outside was fresher.
Ronald and the others immediately moved a table to the front yard. People brought breakfast over and placed a stove under the table.
Jackson looked at Katerine’s house while eating.
Around eight o’clock, a few people walked out of Katerine’s house, chatting in a good mood. It was Mr. Hecox, William, and
the others.
William and Vanessa walked side by side, wearing black down jackets to keep warm. They looked like a perfect match.
Jackson glanced at the down jacket he was wearing. It was white, Vanessa’s favorite color.
He frowned slightly, put down his cutlery, and said, “Mr. Lynch, let’s go.”
With that, Jackson walked towards Katerine’s house.
Mr. Lynch immediately said, “Mr. Foster, we’ll go up the mountain from here.”
He pointed in the direction opposite Katerine’s house.
Elmer had noticed that something was wrong with his boss since last night. He reminded him in a voice, “Mr. Hawk, let’s hurry up. We still have a few more villages to visit, right?”
“Yes.” Elmer’s reminder pulled Jackson back to his senses.
That was right. He wanted to sign the contracts with the nearby villages as soon as possible and expand his business in the deep processing of agricultural products so that the market value of his company could grow rapidly.
People’s living standards had improved a lot today and young people were becoming more and more lazy. They liked fast food, so pre–made dishes were very popular. Now, a lot of companies were fighting for the market.
“Mr. Foster, slow down. Take the hiking stick.” Mr. Lynch handed Jackson a new hiking stick.
He also gave one to Elmer and kept one for himself.
He prepared the hiking sticks mainly for Jackson and Elmer. The villagers were fan not need such a thing at all.
the mountains here and did
“Mr. Foster, the weather forecast says that there will be rain this afternoon. Let’s go back after exploring the two parts in the morning and take a look at the fields in the afternoon,” Mr. Lynch said.
“Okay,” Jackson replied.
Two villagers led the way. While going up the mountain, Mr. Lynch reminded Jackson, “Mr. Foster, slow down.”
10 minutes later, they were halfway up the mountain.
Mr. Lynch casually picked up a stone and handed it to Jackson. “Mr. Foster, look, this is natural gypsum. It’s strange. The villagers have been collecting such stones for decades, but you can still see them everywhere. They seem to reproduce and will never run gut no matter how many we take.”
Jackson took the stone from Mr. Lynch and also thought that it was magical.
It was the gift of nature and could not be explained by scientific theory.
Elmer was curious as well. When he saw a huge stone, he immediately asked Mr. Lynch, “Is this gypsum?”
“Yes. We usually don’t allow people to take such big ones away. When the villagers go up the mountain, we will remind them to pick the small ones. We’re afraid that there would be no babies if the mothers were taken away,” Mr. Lynch said.
Elmer was amazed even more and could not help but laugh. “Babies? You mean the gypsum can give birth?”
“I don’t know if that’s true or not. Anyway, it’s a rule passed down from the older generation. No matter what they are going to do with gypsum, they are now allowed to take the big ones,” Mr. Lynch said.
“Interesting. Elmer was excited.
They continued walking up the mountain and saw gypsum all the way.

Mr. Lynch said, “Mr. Foster, when the time comes, you can ask your men to mine the gypsum here.”
“Okay,” Jackson replied.
Indeed, such a large area of gypsum ore had great commercial value.
The group proceeded along. The two parts of Mount Yanstall were connected, and the middle was slightly lower. It was said that this was the pit left by the immortal who stepped on the mountain.
The villagers told Jackson that this sunken land, which covered a range of more than six acres, would be filled with wild onions in spring. People would come to dig some and bring them home to make pancakes or other food.
Time passed quickly. Now, they had already arrived at another part of Mount Yanstall.
A villager looked up at the sky and said, “What’s wrong? It’s so dark. Is it going to rain?”
“It won’t. It’s been like this for days.”
“It might rain in the afternoon. Let’s go down the mountain after taking a look at this area,” Mr. Lynch said.
A villager next to him said to Jackson, “Mr. Foster, is it strange? That area constantly produces gypsum, but you can’t see a single piece of gypsum here. Except for various kinds of mushrooms, this area also produces medicinal herbs…”
Jackson was originally listening attentively to the villagers, but when he saw a few familiar figures not far ahead, he immediately shifted his attention to them.
Those people were Vanessa’s group.
William had asked Jim to discuss the terms of cooperation with the head of Greenwood Village on the phone. The main purpose of the inspection was to bring Vanessa out to relax for a couple of days.
On their way up the mountain, they saw many mushrooms and picked some.
Katerine and other villagers of Greenwood Village told Vanessa which mushrooms were edible.
Vanessa learned from them and was very excited when she discovered edible mushrooms on her own.
As a foodie, Jim was even more interested in picking mushrooms than Vanessa and behaved actively all the way.
Jackson looked at Vanessa from afar..
Vanessa who was picking mushrooms suddenly felt that something was wrong. She looked up, only to see Jackson gazing at
her.
When their eyes met, Vanessa’s heart skipped a beat, but she regained her composure quickly and looked away.
She pointed to the side and said, “Let’s go over there to pick mushrooms.”
When Mr. Lynch saw the people from Greenwood Village in the mountain, he said angrily, “Owen Hecox, this is the mountain of Milestone Village, but you guys come here every other day. Don’t you think you have gone too far?”
Before Mr. Hecox could speak, the villagers from Greenwood Village could not hold back their anger anymore. “Mr. Lynch, Milestone Village is indeed a little bigger than Greenwood Village and you have more people than we do, but you are being unreasonable to say that the mountain belongs to your village. Don’t try to bully us!”
“That’s right. When the village was divided, it was stipulated that the big maple tree would be the boundary. The left side would be yours, and the right side would be ours. How could you say that the mountain was yours? You guys always came to our side to pick mushrooms, but we didn’t say anything. Is it because we didn’t stop you that you think the mountain is yours?
“That’s right. They are so shameless!”
“What are you talking about?” The villagers of the Milestone Village were outraged, too.
Villagers were straightforward. They walked toward each other angrily and were ready to fight.
Jackson and William began to persuade them in a hurry.
“Mr. Hecox, if you want to make money, you have to get along with people,” said William.
Jackson also suggested Mr. Lynch negotiate with Mr. Hecox peacefully.
Now that both sides were negotiating with their guests for cooperation, they struggled to suppress their anger.
Mr. Lynch said, “Come on, we’re neighbors, and there’s no need for us to fight over these things. There’s quite a lot of gypsum in the area over there. You may go pick some when you need.”
Mr. Hecox also said, “There are many mushrooms here. Guys, come and pick some. It would be a pity if they rot in the earth.”
“Let’s
‘s go over there and take a look!” Vanessa did not want to see Jackson, so she walked away.
William walked forward by her side, carrying the basket for her.
