Chapter 503 Powerful Dark Power

No sooner had Soar finished talking than the whole area darkened, a hellish storm sweeping overand threatening to suck all life from the place. In that foreboding moment, Pearl appeared in frontof Soar with her black hair dancing in the wind.

In a flash, she struck at Soar. Her tender yet surprisingly powerful hand emitting an extreme amountof enlightening power.

"Dragon Battle Technique—Dragon's Punch!” To withstand her attack, Soar had to use his bestmove. In this do-or-die moment, it called for the strongest response.

"Icy Sword!" Side by side, with Soar, Madeline also made her move. In defense, she struck out withher sword strike formed by Ice Enlightenment.

She could sense that Pearl was way too strong for her, maybe even for Soar.

The next moment, a massive blast rent the air as they connected with their moves. But even in theirconcerted effort, Soar and Madeline were only able to withstand Pearl's power for a brief moment.Debris and dust filled the air, throwing both Soar and Madeline several meters back. But Pearl wasset back only a few steps—a clear sign she was much more superior than both of them

Also, Soar's and Madeline's enlightening powers had faded a great deal in the process due to Pearl'sDark Enlightenment.

By comparison, Soar was still okay. Thanks to his Heaven Melting Fire, to a reasonable extent, hehad neutralized the attack. But Madeline was worse off, as she had used up most of her power infighting back.

Both Soar and Madeline exchanged a look, solemnity and frustration written in their eyes.

The warriors around them were all shocked, especially Bernard and a couple of other geniuses.They knew that Pearl was powerful, but not this much formidable. Now, it dawned on them thatthey had underrated her.

Their reactions gradually changed from shock to strong admiration. For some men, the admirationmorphed into lust.

A woman like this was worth fighting for, and most men here would do anything they possiblycould to win her love.

"Master, I have long heard of the dark power used by the young master of the Luxurious Chamberof Commerce. But I didn't know how extraordinary the power was, until now. What I have seen withmy eyes is something beyond words." Both the Skyward Sword Spiritual King and the Array-shattering Spiritual King were really inspired by its power.

"The dark power is exceptional. Nothing besides the primitive power, the light power and the mostdestructive power of thunder is strong enough to withstand its force," the Heavenly Ape Demi-spiritual Emperor added.

"This girl surely looks promising. There is no limit to what she can achieve. It looks like the LuxuriousChamber of Commerce is going to prosper under new blood like her."

"Master, the Luxurious Chamber of Commerce has their new blood, but let's not forget that thereare also two peerless geniuses in our very own Oriental College," both the Skyward Sword SpiritualKing and the Array-shattering Spiritual King added as if trying not to be shadowed by herperformance.

However they grew worried. "Master, Pearl is indeed very powerful. Do you think that we can endour selection here and now?"

"No need to rush. I know what I am doing," said the Heavenly Ape Demi-spiritual Emperor.

'The dark power is doubtless formidable. Maybe only Ricky has a chance against her with hisdevouring power, * Soar thought to himself.

However deep down, he was not quite sure if Ricky could actually withstand Pearl's power.

Ricky was much more gifted than Soar, the Great Dragon. However, Ricky was only a demi-immortal, and he could only take on someone as high as a second-class lower spiritual king.

'If Ricky, a demi-immortal, wants to deal with a first-class lower spiritual king, he has to be an acegenius, ' Soar thought.

"Are we really going to lose to a woman this time?" Soar murmured to himself with muchfrustration.

"Master Soar, you can use my power!" Alva said using telepathy.

"No, I will not allow it. This will only expose you. There are so many people watching, and they maytarget you. Losing is not that big a deal for us. The worst that could happen would be me runningaway with Ricky. Pearl is powerful, but she is not that power to stop us from leaving!" Soarreassured.

"Relax, I will only apportion part of my power to you. Even the emperor will not notice it. The bestguess he'd have to mistake it for an advanced stage spiritual weapon. However, if the emperor getsgreedy, then I guess we will be in trouble,” Alva said.

"I see." Soar was a little lost in thought.

"Brother Ricky once told me that emperor was not someone greedy. Furthermore an emperor's willof martial arts would not be swayed by an advanced stage spiritual weapon so easily."

"I see you have a point. It may be worth a shot!"

Flame crackled!

In the next moment, the Heaven Melting Fire from Soar began to burn fiercely. An old and raggedred tower materialized and then fused with the body of Soar.

Soar's power surged exponentially, which was not far behind from that of Pearl.

"Master, this tower is a little bit unusual!” Both the Skyward Sword Spiritual King and the Array-shattering Spiritual King immediately sensed there was something different about the HeavenMelting Pagoda the second it appeared

For these emperors, there was more to it than power. The boundless, indestructible aura of it wasdetectable in the eyes of mighty warriors

"Yes indeed. Although it is defective, it is still an advanced stage spiritual weapon,” the HeavenlyApe Demi-spiritual Emperor said with much envy in his voice.

An advanced stage spiritual weapon was still quite attractive even for a demi-spiritual emperor likehim.

"Humph! Is it the power of the spiritual weapon? How interesting!" Pearl sneered on realizing howsuddenly Soar's power had shot up.

"Madeline, stay back. At your level, you're no match for the dark power," Soar cautioned Madeline.Madeline had no objection. With the force of a spiritual weapon, the surge in Soar's power wasmore than enough to handle the situation. As for her, it was doubtful if, at all, she could hold acandle to Pearl.

So it would be for the best to stand down for now.

"Let's fight! Dragon's Spear!"

The Heaven-splitting Spear appeared from Soar's Heaven Melting Pagoda—an absolute thunderboltof a strike.

However, none of it seemed to shake Pear in the least.

Instead, she flipped one hand, calling forth a black whip, accompanied by intense dark power thatformed a wave that tumbled towards Soar.

In the next moment, their attacks connected, sparking off roaring thunder, rampage, and darkclouds of dust. Once again, they were at an impasse.

This time, Soar lasted longer. But his Heaven Melting Fire was no match for Pearl's DarkEnlightenment.

Once again, Soar backed down.

'I can't. The dark power is proving too strong. I might end up losing, even with the help of theHeaven Melting Pagoda and Heaven Melting Fire, * Soar thought to himself.

To add to his worries, Alva seemed not to be putting in as much effort in support.

"Since there is still a no-show of Ricky, then I am putting you down for good!" Pearl said coldly. Atthis moment, she already lost her patience.

"I assume it is my turn now!"
