Born Almighty Warrior -
Chapter 591 Henry's Compromise
Transforming into a human, Henry stared blankly on the ground with a gloomy look on his face.Henry still couldn't believe what happened in front him. He thought that he was undeterred byfailures and was good at keeping his cool in times of crisis. He thought that he was able to appearcomposed despite the immense pressure he was under. But after the battle, he started to wonderwhether he had been misjudging himself, he was beginning to think that perhaps he was not aspotent as he thought he was.
During the fierce battle, Henry was totally dumbfounded by Ricky's overwhelming strength. Afeeling of sheer panic took over him as his confidence was badly shaken.
After being lost in thought for a few seconds, he soon regained his composure. Although he had anoutward appearance of calmness, he still couldn't fully recover from the shock.
"What kind of skill was that? I'm not sure if my eyes were fooling me but I think I saw you turn intoan invisible storm and then teleport away. Even the burying force wouldn't have been enough tostop you," Terrence asked curiously with a serious look on his face.
He was very impressed by the powerful strength and martial skill shown by Ricky. After the battle,he came to a realization that Ricky was indeed a rare genius in the world of martial arts. He had toadmit that Ricky still had a few tricks of unexpected strength up his sleeve.
One thing Terrence was certain of was that Henry would not stand against Ricky if the former didn'tpossess the Sandy Mutant.
"Shit! How did he even do it? It seems to me that he didn't use the spiritual space tool at all. Histeleportation skill probably evolved from some secret martial skill. How was he able to learn suchpotent skill?" Justin gave out a roar as he clenched his fists.
"Since you had treated me similarly before, I decided to give you a taste of your own medicine. Doyou have any problem with that?" Ricky coldly asked.
"No." Henry's voice burst out with a dominant aura exuding from within him. He didn't try to denywhat he had done to Ricky. Seeing Ricky's smug face, Henry had a strong urge to hit him in the facebut circumstances wouldn't allow it.
It suddenly hit Henry that losing the battle to Ricky might be the least of his worries. Because heclearly knew that Ricky didn’t consume any of his energy when he used the last powerful skill. So itprobably meant there was no limit in Ricky's strength whenever he summoned his skills. He wasalmost unbeatable in combat.
In that case, even if Henry used his Sandy Mutant, it still wouldn't do anything. No matter howpotent his skill was, it was virtually impossible to defeat Ricky. If he continued to fight, he would beconfronted by a very serious dilemma and might even face risks of serious danger.
"Do you want to continue the battle?" asked Ricky with a faint smile on his face
"Of course not," Henry unwillingly replied. "I will leave with them and I hope that you will not stopus. If we were to keep on fighting like that, both of us would only suffer great losses.”
"Henry, I can't believe that you are just going to give up the Glazed Fruits that easily!" Justin snarledas his eyebrows furrowed. It had never occurred to him that Henry would give up their pursuit ofthe Glazed Fruits.
Instead of answering his question, Henry simply looked at him with a frigid stare.
The way Henry stared at him almost made his flesh tremble. He swallowed his anger and wentsilent. Justin then thought that since they were struck here, they might as well make the best out ofit. Henry had done whatever he could do to save their lives. If it had not been for Henry, they wouldhave died in the battle. Justin knew clearly that he couldn't even defeat Terrence by himself, letalone Ricky.
Even if he could replace a way to defeat Ricky, he would still have a hard time figuring out a solution toescape from the Virulent Sand Flow.
Although he was seething with anger, he just gritted his teeth without uttering a single word.
"So you are just going to leave with these four people from the Bing Clan?" Ricky asked curiouslyout of confusion. It was odd that Henry didn't mention the Glazed Fruits at all.
'Even if he asked for the Glazed Fruits, I will definitely not give them to him. What surprised memost was that Henry didn't even try to mention them, * Ricky quietly thought to himself.
"You must be really surprised that I will leave without the Glazed Fruits,” Henry calmly said as hestared at Ricky with a solemn expression
"Of course. I replace it extremely odd that despite being an innate spiritual king, you decided to give upthe Glazed Fruits,” Ricky stated frankly as his voice suddenly became more serious.
"You are right. None of the other innate spiritual kings are able to resist the temptations of theGlazed Fruits." A deep furrow appeared between Henry's brows. "And I'm no exception, I'mdesperate for them too. But will you give them to me if I asked for them?"
"No way!" Ricky firmly replied with a domineering look on his face.
"So that's why I intend to give up the Glazed Fruits this time. Those two helpers on your side aremuch more powerful than the four people from the Bing Clan. My chances of winning and gettingthe Glazed Fruits are very slim and I have no plans on risking it." Henry stopped for a few secondsand continued, "If I choose to leave now, I can prevent myself from risking people's lives includingmine."
Upon hearing what Henry said, the four people from the Bing Clan trembled in anger. It wascertainly obvious that Henry's voice was full of sarcasm. Seething with anger, they all just grittedtheir teeth without uttering a word. None of them dared to go against Henry's wishes
"So you decided to compromise and just put a stop to this battle.” Ricky stared at him in disbelief."Yes, that is correct,” Henry simply replied as he nodded his head. Although it was hard for him tomake that decision, he knew he had to reconcile himself with the harsh reality they were in. He knewthat if he continued to fight, it would lead them all into their inevitable doom since Justin and therest of his men were not able to defeat Terrence and Soar.
"But you've got nothing to be smug about. This time, it is my decision to leave without the GlazedFruits.” Henry paused for a moment and continued in a steady voice, "Next time I come here, I willdefinitely have my revenge. The next time we meet, I will show you no mercy.”
"Is that so?" Ricky's voice was as cold as ice. Sensing the killing aura that exuded from Henry, Rickysmiled nonchalantly.
The more Ricky thought about Henry's words, the more severe his face became.
Ricky was really impressed by Henry's talent for quick decisive action. It was wise of Henry to giveup the Glazed Fruits at this point. Otherwise, they would suffer heavy losses in the battle. Althoughit was not easy to give up the Glazed Fruits, Henry was still able to assess the situation objectivelyand make the right decision with a clear mind. Having an enemy like Henry, Ricky couldn't help butstart to worry about what would happen in the future.
Ricky had been observing Henry's behavior and he was surprised that he was identical in characterwith Henry to some degree. His heart grew heavy as he couldn't stop thinking about this matter.'If I let Henry leave this time, he will be a much greater threat in the future, ' Ricky quietly thought tohimself as a feeling of anxiousness began to take over him.
But Ricky was helpless and he knew he couldn't do anything to deal with the current situation.Although defeating the four people from the Bing Clan would be a piece of cake for Ricky, he stilldidn't stand a chance against Henry.
So Ricky had no other choice but to let them go. If he prevented them from leaving here, theunavoidable battle would definitely cause him a lot of trouble. This was the last thing he wanted. Moreover, Henry had made a compromise and had given up the Glazed Fruits. Ricky thought hewould be pushing his luck if he didn't let them leave. If Henry ended up getting enraged, hecouldn't afford to suffer the consequences
"See you then," Henry calmly said as he looked at Ricky with a blank expression.
He then cast a cold stare at the four people who were standing beside him and said, "Let's go. But ifyou wish to die in this place, you are free to stay."
Henry left immediately after saying those words.
Staring at Henry's back, the four men stood in silence. They reluctantly looked at the Glazed Fruitsbefore leaving in a hurry. Although they were desperate to get the Glazed Fruits, they would prefernot to risk their lives.
"Ricky, why did we just let them leave?" Soar asked in confusion after Henry and his men left. "Afterall, it was probably our first and last chance to kill the four people from the Bing Clan.”
"The opportunity has not arrived yet. If I aggravated Henry, both sides would've suffered greatlosses from the battle." Ricky patiently explained the reasons behind his decision. "Moreover, he hasgiven up the Glazed Fruits. There's no point in taking unnecessary risks.”
He paused for a moment and continued, "To be completely honest, with our current strength, defeating the four people from the Bing Clan wouldn't have been much of a trouble. Completedspiritual kings and cultivators of higher ranks are major threats to the stability of our region.”
"Ricky is right. It was the best outcome that we could've had under the circumstances,” Terrenceechoed as he nodded his head in agreement.
"Well, I see. I hope that we could give the four people from the Bing Clan a good kick next time wemeet them in the Land of Legacy. And I hope that Henry will not be with them to protect theirasses,” Soar replied as he clenched his fists.
"Terrence, do you know Henry?" Ricky asked and gave him a confused look. "Since he has the SandyMutant, I think there is a good chance that he is a household figure in the world of martial arts.""No, I've never heard of him. And I've never heard that someone had the Sandy Mutant in theEastern Land," Terrence replied in a deep voice.
"Really? Could he be a hidden genius from a powerful force?" Ricky stroked his chin as he wonderedabout Henry's real origins.
