"I'd like to hug your sweet wife before we leave to have fun." She threw herself on me and hugged me really tight to whisper into my ear, "I have control here. It's just the beginning, sweetheart." She chuckled, pulled away from me and to Hames, encircling her arm around his arm, pulling him with her.

"Jeez, women are so filled with so many problems." He groaned. Amanda turned her head to me with a stupid smirk I felt like peeling off with a knife.

"Hames," I held his arm before she pulled him out of arm's reach. He turned to me, looking quite tired. "You're not leaving."

"I'm not leaving you," He chortled. "I'm only hanging out for a while."

"Don't leave." I said with a serious tone.

Amanda's face became red hot again.

"Is there a problem?" He raised his eyebrows.

"No. I don't want you to leave. You're staying right here with me." I smiled.

"That's weird but if you want me to, I will." He was really going to stay? My smile grew wider.

"Are you kidding me? You're coming with me. I'd be mad at you and you won't like it. You're not going to stay because she asked you to."

He curled an arm around my waist. "Sorry, Mandy. I'm a married man now and my wife comes first. If Imogen wants me to stay then I have to." I was shocked to know I had so much control over this crazy grumpy boss of mine. "Hames," she huffed, fanning a hand over her face dramatically.

"Don't be dramatic." He rolled his eyes at her.

"Mr. Hendrix," I called in a seductive voice, keeping my arm around his neck. Though he had the most amused expression on his face, he also wrapped his arms around my waist. "You'd do anything I ask of you, right?"

"Definitely. Anything for my Queen but as long as you reward me." He simpered.

"Okay, my King." I nibbled on my lower lip.

"God, this woman would make me go completely crazy." He breathed out.

"You'll not go to a club or on any stupid romantic date with anyone, whether or not she's your best friend." I said and Amanda gasped.

"She can't end that. It's something we do a lot; romantic dates as best friends." She frowned.

Hames drew his eyes in askance at me and Amanda but didn't respond.

"I'm sorry but I wouldn't like my husband to go on 'romantic' dates with anyone, it's inappropriate. Would you please carry me to our room? My legs hurt." I lied, I know, but the anger and hurt on Amanda's face was filling me with a weird type of exultancy.

Hames stared at me suspiciously but lifted me up my feet, carrying me in a bridal style.

I placed my arms around his neck again and planted a kiss on his cheek. "It's just the beginning, sweetheart." I smirked at Amanda. I swear I could see smoke oozing out of her ears. She could explode anytime soon.

"Uh?"

"Never mind, just take me to our room." I brushed his cheek with my fingers. I couldn't believe I was doing this. I had to admit I didn't feel bad about it at all, I was happy and didn't feel the need to puke my guts out at the fact that I was in Hames arms and just kissed him, not on the lips though.

Hames still looked puzzled but carried me to our room.

I assumed Amanda knew who she was messing with now; a very crazy Tigress, ready to devour her prey.

The earlier I accepted the fact that Hames was my husband now, the better it was going to be. I remembered that and it meant I couldn't let any crazy being have him.

***

I heard laughing noises and it annoyed me because it was coming from Amanda, and Hames too but I was mostly irritated by Amanda's laughter.

I strolled down the stairs and sauntered to Hames. A frown etched on my face at the extreme closeness between their bodies.

"It's not true." Hames smiled. Yeah, one beautiful smile I had to admit I loved... liked, the one that could make a person's heart- oh, I was supposed to be focusing my attention on Amanda and not Hames' smile.

"It is. Gosh, you love me so much." Amanda cooed, grinning as wide as ever. I knew she had seen me through her sideways glance else she was partially blind.

"Uh?" Hames sounded confused.

"Silly." She said and they burst into laughter.

"Ahem." I cleared my throat.

Hames quickly snapped his head in my direction and graced me with an even wider smile. "I was about to come to you. You tend to stay indoors, I expected you to be out everyday for either a party or an event." "It's your fault, I don't just sit around at home." I ambulated to stand in front of him.

"Oh, my sweetheart." He held my hand and pulled me to sit on his lap, trailing his fingers along my skin.

I frowned but was quick enough to transform my frown to a smile due to Amanda's presence.

His fingers trailing along my skin was making goosebumps coat my body and a weird shiver ran down my spine. "I missed you already."

Didn't he see me about an hour ago? I noticed Amanda's frown so I decided to increase her frustration and kept my arm around his neck, tracing circles on his face with my finger.

He smiled in contentment. "Your hands are so amazing and soft, my love. Would you give me a head massage later tonight? I'll reward you." He wrapped his arms around my waist. "Sure... why not?"

"I love you so much." He kissed the crook of my neck, another shiver ran down my spine.

"I-I love you too." I glanced at Amanda and my face was blessed with a smirk after noticing the frustration on her face. The point of this weirdness wasn't a waste. No one messes with me, calls me names and tries to take what belongs to me? Belongs to me? Hames belonged to me? So funny.

Hames squinted his eyes at me in confusion, glanced at Amanda who looked like she was going to burst pretty soon but she transformed her expression when Hames glanced at her.

He returned his gaze to me and smirked, leaning his face closer to mine. Oh no, not a kiss.

Of course it turned out to be a kiss. He kissed me passionately like it was going to be the last time he was ever going to kiss me. I didn't want to respond to his kiss but it was intoxicating. It made my stomach twist into knots and was quite relaxing. I didn't like this but I needed to make Amanda frustrated more than she already was.

After making out, I ended the kiss before it led to something more intense.

"My hot wife, my sweetheart, my darling, my source of happiness, do you "

"When is Amanda leaving?" I cut him off.

"Amanda?" He asked and Amanda shot daggers at me with her eyes, warning me to keep quiet but I wasn't interested in feeling threatened. She had worn out her welcome.

"Are you so desperate to chase her?" He chuckled.

"God, I can't believe this. Hames, your wife is sending me out of 'your' house." She added a stress on 'your'.

"Amanda stays here for as long as she wants." He said and Amanda sighed in relief, "but she's leaving today, right Amanda?"

"Today? Yeah, right." She nodded and rose to her feet. "I was just about to pack my bags." Hurt was shimmering in her eyes as she left our sight. I wanted to feel bad for her but nah, I didn't care at all. I was glad she was leaving. Hames cleared his throat, shifting my attention to him.

My frown returned and I rose to my feet but he pulled me back to sit on his lap, embracing my waist. "What's with the sudden change of attitude because Amanda left now?" He clicked his tongue. "You can't do that to me, baby. Now tell me, why are you so jealous of Amanda?"

"Jealous of Amanda?" I scoffed, waving a hand. "No way."

"I noticed the glares and smirk, I'm not blind, dear wife. You even want her to leave so soon. You're already falling in love with me and can't bear to let another woman be with your husband." He simpered. "There's no way that's the truth. What if I tell you your stupid best friend is in love with you? She's crazily, madly in love with you." I rolled my hands in the air. He only smiled. "You don't believe me?" I frowned.

"I might've suspected that, I'm not gullible to not notice the signs but I'm all yours, sweetheart. Amanda and I have been best friends for ten years, but nothing more than that. Do you think this is some cliché romance in movies or something where the Man's female best friend falls in love with him and he doesn't notice, then he'll neglect his wife for her and support her wrongdoings instead of his wife's truth?"

I chuckled at that. "I thought you didn't watch movies."

"The ones I've watched, but that's not important right now. I'm a celebrity so there are about a million people who are also in love with me. They'd be so jealous of you when we reveal to the internet that we are married." He tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear. "If Amanda is also among them, I'll talk to her to let her know that the only person I can ever love is you, Imogen Hendrix."

I smirked, loving the support from him. Now Amanda was going to know who's boss.

"Don't ever be jealous of anyone who's in love with me because none of them can ever be as beautiful as you, none of them can make me happy like you do, stop me from being so cold, make me do things I'd normally never do. You've stolen my heart, whether or not you realize it and it'll forever belong to you because no one can be more perfect for me. I'm so lucky to have you as my wife, I couldn't ask for a better wife. I wouldn't have married you if I loved Amanda too. You're the greatest joy of my life. I'll cherish you till the end of time till-" he paused. "Are you crying?"

"Crying?" I wiped my face and realized I was actually tearing up. His words made a feeling jerk awake in me.

"Gosh, my wife is so emotional. I think I'll always say sweet words to you to make you this way."

"Shut up. I was only touched. It felt nice to be praised." I admitted and buried my head in his chest to hide my face in embarrassment. I couldn't believe I was shedding tears of joy due to his words.

He patted my head. "I love you so much, baby. This makes me so happy. Anyway, it's nice to see you jealous. It also makes me very happy."

I didn't reply to him but kept my arms around him while he wrapped an arm around me, brushing my hair with his fingers. We remained in that position till heaven knows when. I felt so safe in his arms and happiness was dancing in me.
