“Millie? The Little girl who used to wear a mask all the time? You are so beautiful! I couldn’t evenrecognize you. Oh, I’m doing very well. What about your grandmother?”
Joan was now so excited talking to her.
“Grandma has recovered quite well. She will back in a few days.” Millie’s grandma and Joan were bestfriends. They Lived close to each other and often helped each other. When Grandma had to go to thecity for treatment, Joan held her friend’s hand with Love and told her she’d be waiting for her to comeback.
“That’s amazing news. I’m so Lonely here without her. Having no one to talk to, I look forward to herreturn every day.”
Roland stood there, listening in on their conversation. He stared at Millie in disbelief. How could this bethe same ugly girl he used to despise and ridicule?

Despite the fact that he was just brutally ignored, Roland shamelessly chased after Millie until the doorof her house.
“Millie, I had no idea you were so beautiful. Why did you have to hide this behind a mask? It made methink you were ugly. You know what? Come to my house for dinner tonight. I‘11 ask my mother to makea good meal for you.”
In a bored tone, Millie said without looking at him, “Don’t do that. Please, go away. I’m going in now.”
Roland didn’t move. He stood in place and just stroked his chin, admiring Millie’s face and thinking ofhow to get her. The whole family would be proud of him if he got a beauty like her.
“I know I shouldn’t have called you all those names in the past, but you can’t really blame me.Everyone said you were ugly and I believed them. I apologize for my mistake. Can you please be mygirlfriend? Like
