Captivated by the Ruler of the Underworld
Chapter 366 Late for the First Day of Class

The police outside the station saw Rebecca on the ground and quickly called for help to carry her inside. They also called a doctor from the nearby clinic.

"She's been hungry for a long time and was low on blood sugar."

The doctor checked her and asked a nurse to give Rebecca an IV. "Prepare some sugary drinks and cookies for her."

After giving instructions, the doctor left.

Half an hour later, Rebecca woke up.

Seeing that the police had saved her, she tearfully thanked them.

The officer looked at Rebecca, and kindly asked, "Ma'am, where are you from? Where do you live? Do you remember your child's phone number? We can call them to come pick you up."

This made Rebecca's face pale, and she trembled as she handed over a photo. "My child hasn't called me for a week. I've tried to reach her, but no answer.

"I have a feeling something bad has happened to her."

The officer took the photo and saw a girl with a ponytail, slender build, and a sweet smile.

With his experience, the officer felt something was off but still reassured her, "Ma'am, don't worry. Maybe your child is just too busy. Why do you think she's in trouble?"

Rebecca recalled the events from a week ago and took out her phone. "Officer, Cynthia Young messaged me a week ago, saying she was taking me to Greafury City this weekend. But since then, total radio silence. Cynthia's sharp, and she always follows through on her promises. There's gotta be a reason she's gone missing like this."

The officer looked at the message, which contained Cynthia's work address in Greafury City.

He asked, "Have you been to Greafury City before?"

Rebecca shook her head. "I haven't been here. After Cynthia graduated from university, she stayed behind in Greafury City, saying she'd bring me to Greafury City once she had a stable job. We're poor, living in the countryside, unable to help her. All these years, Cynthia has been working hard on her own. She said she became a fashion model at The Harrison Group, with good pay and benefits, which allowed her to bring me here. But now, she's just disappeared." The officer immediately sensed something was wrong. "Ma'am, don't worry. We will definitely help you replace your child."

Rebecca almost knelt in gratitude, but the officer quickly supported her. "We're just doing our job. Just have a good rest and leave it to us."

With that, he turned and sent a message to the criminal investigation team at headquarters.

At the Greafury City police headquarters, the staff quickly verified Antolin's crimes. Knowing the situation was dire, Antolin confessed and requested leniency. Meanwhile, Zoe sold almost all her luxury items to hire a lawyer and prepare for the trial the next day.

At Holy Light Elite Academy, Lela had a good night. Before she opened her eyes, she heard a familiar, affectionate voice. "Good morning, Lela."

The voice was exceptionally clear. Lela opened her eyes abruptly and saw Sylvester's handsome face on her phone screen. "Did you stay up all night?" Sylvester raised an eyebrow, leisurely leaning against the headboard, and looked at Lela at ease. "Yes, did you like the lullaby?"

Lela blushed. "Yes, it was nice."

It was her first time sleeping without Sylvester, and she slept soundly because of his lullaby.

Suddenly, the bell rang, and Lela's eyes widened. "I have to go, Sylvester. I'm going to be late."

Seeing Lela's flustered state, Sylvester laughed, "Don't worry, Lela. The first class is already over anyway."
