Captive Of The Alpha
Chapter 90

For those who saw Nebraska at the time, you would think that she was totally calm waiting for her alpha and the rest of the guards to return. But no, it was quite the opposite. Nebraska was trembling slightly and her heart was pounding painfully in her chest.

A hand on her shoulder made her startle slightly and turn her head. Beside her was her son Rodrigo and she let out a sigh.

-Ma, you’re so tense.

She looked straight ahead as she squeezed her son’s hand in hers. A comforting warmth came over her. She looked outside, at the entrance to the mansion, and in the distance there was still no sign of her husband.

-I’m worried,” her face was grim.

-Can’t you get through to the alpha?

She denied.

-It seems he’s in a dense situation and my voice isn’t reaching him,” her voice became low, “I hope…I hope everything is all right,” she had to take a deep breath.

-Rodrigo did something she didn’t expect, he wrapped his arms around her from behind and took her in with his scent. It was light given that he was a young wolf who had only come of age a few years ago, but it was still so comforting, I’m sure they’ll be fine.

Nebraska smiled slightly and closed her eyes and laid her head on her son’s chest. She was able to calm down a little, but she was still quite distressed. She didn’t want to think that anything could happen to her husband and the last thing they had done was argue.

Their first big argument, if you could call it that.

It was late in the evening and Nebraska was still in the driveway of the mansion. He had simply sat with his son beside him. He had spent all day alert even thinking of all the possibilities. He had all the wolves on alert on the grounds in case of any emergency. Their alpha, commander and beta were not there, so that was their responsibility.

If there was an attack they were prepared to fight, but great was his relief when in the distance he began to see faint shadows and the glow of golden eyes. But the one that caught her attention the most was the silver one leading the group.

She stood up, dropping the blanket that covered her shoulders. Next to her Rodrigo copied her. They both waited for the group to reach them feeling relief inside them. They were a little bruised and slightly injured but nothing more.

Nebraska walked down the stairs and slowly approached Hades. She didn’t care what he had told her, at that moment she needed to touch him and know he was okay.

The alpha noticing his queen waiting for him gasped slightly. She was there and she smelled of concern despite her firm and serious demeanour. But he knew her and could feel her. She was a chaos of emotions inside her.

She wagged her tail from side to side improving her mood. He had had to set things right when the hyenas had wanted to have their way with the herd boundaries. And he would not allow it at any cost. He had defended the grounds since he was a cub and no one would take them away from him just because he felt like it.

Hades felt his wife walk towards him and he did the same by transforming into his human form and stopped in front of Nebraska. She had some slight scratches on her chest and neck but nothing that couldn’t be healed with a good night’s sleep.

Nebraska was trembling slightly. She could smell Hades’ b***d and his male pheromones enveloping her. She opened her arms and without thinking wrapped them around the wolf’s torso and wrapped her arms around him. She didn’t speak, she didn’t say anything…she didn’t need to.

Hades arms soon wrapped around her and stroked her sword up and down feeling the various knots of tension in her muscles.

-Alpha,” Siran approached him, transforming, “Go rest, I’ll take care of the rest with Leoxi.

Hades looked over his shoulder at the rest of the wolves, most of whom were in good condition, and nodded.

-Anything you need, just let me know.

-Don’t worry, focus on getting well my alpha,” Siran gave a slight bow, “Attend to your mate. I’m sure she needs some of your attention.

And Hades knew it too. He felt how Nebraska was in that moment and he as her mate should comfort her and above all apologise for how she had behaved. And finally, fill her with k****s and caresses until she slept beside him in agitation.

Leaning down slightly, he reached for his wife’s thighs and lifted her up so that she had to wrap her legs around his waist. Her arms reached for his neck and she wrapped her arms around his neck burying her nose in search of his gland. Hades could feel her relax against his body.

-Thank you,” she whispered to Rodrigo as she passed him with a faint smile.

He responded with a nod of his head and kept it down until the alpha entered the mansion and a hand rested on his head. And of course he recognised that scent. A scent he loved and loved it very much.

-Come on, pup. I need someone to heal my wounds, which are bigger than my brother’s.

Rodrigo straightened up and nodded towards Leoxi. And a faint smile crossed his face along with the hand that caressed his cheek.

Hades opened the door to his room and closed it with his foot and stopped in the middle of it. He was still carrying Nebraska who seemed reluctant to leave him.

-Love, would you help me take a bath,” he kissed her shoulder and the curve of her neck that was within his reach, “Your husband has had a hard day and his body aches.

It was at least two minutes before Nebraska moved. Hade let go of her legs and set her down on the floor as a pain shot through him from his stomach.

-Nebraska?” a grimace graced his face and he took a step back. It hadn’t been a hard blow, but it had been a substantial one.

-Don’t ever treat me that way again, Hades,” Nebraska’s eyes had darkened, “You have any idea how much I had to think about today. All the time I thought that something might happen to you and that the last thing we’d done was fight. That you were upset with me.

Then he understood her, and he had to admit that his reaction to her not wanting to tell him what was wrong had been a bit intense.

-My wolf,” he straightened up, ignoring the pain in his abdomen and smiled, “I really wanted to try something but it got out of hand. I’m not mad at you,” he moved closer to her and took one of her hands between his and brought it to his lips and kissed her knuckles, “I was acting childish wanting to know what was bothering you and I acted offended. I thought you’d come after me when I left the room that night but…I forgot that you’re different,” he kissed her palm.

Nebraska narrowed her eyes.

-So you were playing with me.

Hades knew he was stepping into the lion’s den, literally.

-My queen, that’s not what I meant,” he scratched his cheek, “Let’s just say I was a little frustrated because you don’t usually keep things from me…well yeah, you kept your pregnancy with Priscilla from me and I thought it might be something just as important and my head got all hot and bothered.

Hades ran his hand through his hair, tousling it. Nebraska could only stare at the wolf who looked unsure and it was all her fault. For keeping something as important as her insecurities from him.

And she knew she shouldn’t have to. That wolf had taught her what pleasure was and how to enjoy it. Learning to love and want someone next to her so….

-Hades,” she approached him, calming her tone of voice and placing a hand on his chest, “Let’s give you a bath, heal those wounds and I promise I’ll tell you everything after,” she said.

She looked at him and her violet eyes focused on him. Hades couldn’t help but take her cheeks in his hands and bring his lips to hers.

-I also want to talk and apologize properly,” he left a soft k**s on his partner’s mouth, “And let’s not go back to arguing over silly things. Yes my queen?

Nebraska couldn’t help but smile and wrap her arms around her husband’s neck and deepen the k**s wondering why she had hesitated.

-Hades couldn’t believe what he was hearing coming out of his wife’s mouth.

After a soothing bath where his she-wolf ran her hands all over him and finished with k****s and caresses to have his wounds treated, Hades was now lying against the back of the bed and Nebraska was lying on top of him. One of his hands ran up and down his wife’s slender back while the other.

Nebraska nodded her head, her face somber again.

-I know I’m young and there are still things I don’t have the knowledge or the courage to do in the s****l sense. But I never thought it was affecting you. I am strong in many ways but I don’t have the experience of the other she-wolves.

Hades’ eyes were wide open.

-My beautiful she-wolf, who told you that,” the alpha kissed his cheek, “Yes, I am truly pleased that you are by my side. I have nothing to ask for. You gave me a family, a beautiful pup and you are my mate in every way. If I even wonder how I made it so far without you,” he left a soft k**s on her lips.

Nebraska still wasn’t very pleased. Though at least the weight off her shoulders was lighter when she was releasing her worries to her husband and he seemed to react well.

-Nebraska,” he brushed back a lock of her hair, “I don’t need you to rush. It’s really fun to teach you everything and learn together. Yes it’s true that I would like something more but we have plenty of time and when you’re ready we can try anything you want,” she said.

The she-wolf looked at him for a few seconds and nodded her head a little ashamed for having doubted him. Hades embraced her and kissed her lips softly. Delighting in the taste of them.

-So,” he pulled away just a little, “Who was the fool that made my queen doubt,” the alpha’s eyes glittered dangerously.

And Nebraska didn’t know if it would be a good idea to send her brother-in-law to the slaughter.
