Hades was exhausted. No one had told him that being the alpha of a gang would bring not only fame among his people, but also so many headaches that he would barely have time to spend with his family. He cursed. He wanted a holiday and that was what had driven Siran crazy when he had told him not to count on him the next day.

One day of being a normal wolf wouldn’t have any consequences, would it?

He finally entered his room late into the night and the sight he saw made him smile and warm.

-You made it,” Nebraska settled the month-old baby in his arms and sucked at her mother’s breast eagerly. As if she were the hungriest in the world.

-A lot of work, love, but I’m back,” he leaned over and kissed his wife, tugging on her lower l*p. He hadn’t seen or touched her all day. He was anxious for contact with her.

Then he leaned over and kissed his puppy’s dark head and smiled.

-She looks more like you every day,” he said.

-I think she’ll be the most like me of all my puppies, though her eyes are just like yours,” he said.

Hades straightened up after admiring his daughter for a few long seconds and kissed his wife’s bare shoulder.

-I want some of that later too,” he pointed with a lustful gaze at Nebraska’s plump breasts given her lactation period.

She frowned.

-Not again. Last time you got excited, you left me with sore nipples and Priscilla with no milk by the time she woke up. She was crying all morning and Sara and I had to figure out how to soothe her. So we didn’t-

Hades pouted, which looked ridiculous for a man as big as he was.

-Not even a little?

And Nebraska hated it when he used that tone. Reason always succumbed when he looked at her that way and told her so.

Hades came out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist and drying his hair with the other.

-You’ve been growing your hair a lot lately,” Nebraska approached him with her daughter in her arms, who seemed completely attentive to her surroundings after drinking her milk.

-Yes, I think so, could you cut it a little? I haven’t had much time to tend to it.

Nebraska handed the puppy to her father who sat down in front of his wolf’s dresser while she reached for a pair of scissors.

-What does the cutest puppy in the whole pack say,” Hades rubbed his nose against her nose and received a giggle from her.

He kissed her little hands that were reaching for his face and let her sit on his lap. She was so small and so cute. And he could be with her at those moments, since during the day, if he wasn’t with his mother, he spent it with any of his siblings.

-She left it shoulder length,” Nebraska began to comb the hair that reached the middle of her back in soft rounds.

-Yes, my goodness, I can barely comb it anymore and it’s giving me a headache. I heard Layan is going to grow her hair long at her sister’s request. She’s got a lot of willpower.

Nebraska wrapped her arms around his neck from behind.

-And if I asked you to grow it long, would you do it?

Hades turned his head slightly.

Nebraska was silent for a few seconds and then smiled and kissed his cheek.

And she set to work cutting her partner’s hair down to shoulder length where the waves became more pronounced. The image reminded Nebraska of the first time she could see him clearly. That cut definitely made him look sexier.

-Don’t worry my wolf, after I put Priscilla to bed I’ll take care of you,” Hades smiled wolfishly.

-You should rest, you look exhausted,” she massaged his shoulders gently.

-Tonight is not necessary,” he purred at the caresses that softened the knots around his neck, “I’m taking the day off tomorrow. And I wanted to tell you that I want to take the puppies with me. Leoxi will also accompany me. So it’s going to be a boys’ outing.

-Nebraska analysed her husband’s expression in the mirror’s reflection, which was even more relaxed, “I’m sure a change of scenery will do the four of them good. Especially Rodrigo. I’m worried that he’s not adjusting as well as he’d like. His relationship with his siblings is still not as warm.

-Don’t worry. Believe me, they will change of scenery. We’ll go to the pond on the south side, it’s a place nearby where only my brother and I go. Some other time I’ll take you. But this time I want to leave some things prepared for them. For example, Noa and Alan have to start training. They are still puppies but they’ll be older than that in a few years and I want them to develop well and healthy. -Him, ice block?” Hades laughed, “No, honey. Believe me Leoxi is anything but. But I’m sure he’s very good company for Rodrigo, plus he’s teaching him how to manage the pack guard. He’s a skilled boy, he’s a quick learner.

Nebraska smiled and hugged her husband, proud of the way Hades treated his pups, even though only the one in his lap shared his b***d.

-Thank you, my alpha, for being so good to my cubs,” she said.

Hades turned his face and kissed her cheek.

-Our cubs my queen.
