Captured By A Ruthless Vampire King -
|66| ~ Once Upon A Time ~
Unedited.
Embry’s POV.
There is a sea of beautiful faces, watching me watch him as I stand at the top of the aisle with Gutter Butter by my side.
I suddenly begin to feel caught in a trace, distant as if I’m pulling myself away.
I can’t do this. I can’t do this.
“Yes, you can,” says my wolf. “We can do this,”
“No! We can’t,” I start to feel anxious and my heart begins to beat outside of my chest. “It’s just so strange,” I tell her. “Our start was so rocky and our trails were so hard. It was a complete wreck, I c-,”
“Can do this,” Cyrus’ voice appears inside my head, taking my breath away. “Look at me,” he orders. “Look at me, Sunshine,”
Without a second thought, I follow his command and then our eyes lock.
“You can do this,” he tells. “I love you, sunshine. I need you. I will die if I have to wait another second without being fully mated to you. Come to me, Embry,” his heart begins to cry out for me.
“Come to me, right now,”
And that is all that it takes to melt away my fears and push me to follow my heart.
Cyrus is my heart. I take my first step down the aisle and I swear on my Goddess herself that time seems to stop.
As I walk down the aisle, it is only him that I see.
As I walk down the aisle, I know in my heart of hearts that I’m walking towards my destiny.
As I walk down the aisle, any ounce of doubting the love that we feel for each other is chased away.
As I walk down the aisle, I begin to feel as if I’m living my wildest dreams come true today.
As I walk down the aisle I envision our future children drenched in love.
As I walked down the aisle I’m convinced that he is the heaven-sent present that was delivered to me by my Goddess herself from above.
As I walk down the aisle, every single moment which led me in his direction begins to glide across my memory as well.
As I walk down the aisle, I don’t feel anything other than true love.
(Embry mind drift.)
There is a woman standing in front of a fire.
Her smile is forced, frozen, and numb.
Her hazel eyes are dull, sheltered, and reserved.
She is full of fear.
The wind softly blows around her.
She is not a dangerous woman.
She isn’t the type of woman that has, fire burning in her veins.
She doesn’t have a smoke on her lips.
Blood would never drip down her fist.
She would never place her hand close to a fire.
She refuses to play with fire.
She is too afraid to be burnt.
She doesn’t want any scars that would be a constant reminder of what happens when you place your hands dangerously close to the flame.
She doesn’t want to perish.
She doesn’t want her legacy to be anything but a pile of ashes.
A man with a soul darker than coal comes and places the timid woman in chains.
He captures hers.
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle, I can now identify that Cyrus and I were the two lovers who appeared in my mind during that dream.
As I walk down the aisle, I can feel the strong wind blowing around just the two of us, as if the wind itself was singing that we were meant to be.
As I walk down the aisle I can admit that I have never felt so powerfully... so fierce... so strong...
As I walk down the aisle I feel as if not a single soul could stop me.
As I walk down the aisle my mind wonders back to the times when I pushed and ran away from my destiny...
As I walk down the aisle I can also recall how exhausted I felt when Cyrus chased after and then finally captured me.
As I walk down the aisle I remember all the times that I felt like he was out to get me.
As I walk down the aisle tears begin to fall from out my eyes as I realize how much he really does mean to me.
(Flash Back)
“Please, I don’t want any trouble,” I somehow manage to speak.
As they get closer, my heart beats louder. “Don’t beg dog,” one of the vampires bares its teeth into a sneer. He’s now standing directly in front of me. “You’re dead either way,”
In a swift movement, my air supply is officially cut as he lifts me in the air by my throat. His claws dig deep into my skin, drawing blood.
My feet are dangling, inches away from the ground, and my visions blurry.
He wastes no time plunging his fangs into my neck, forcing me to release a loud cry of agony and a top of the lungs scream. It feels like a needle has been plunged into my lungs bringing forth the true experience of never-ending pain.
Never have I ever endured anything of the sort. The pain is blinding. My wolf cries within me howl within. The vampire greedily takes gallons of my blood. Claiming, my life with his bite I soon realize the worst is yet to come.
The sharp and intense pain soon feels like a scorching hot blade being plunged into my neck followed by a rush of scorching fire burning with my flesh scream louder and the next thing I know is another set of sharp, point, scorching hot fangs being plunged into one of my dangling arms.
The vampires are sucking me dry in a united front and all I can do is scream. For what seems like hours they hungrily suck, draining me, and then suddenly the wind whooshes around me.
My body feels lighter than a feather but I land with a loud thud. Way too much of my energy is gone. I can barely keep my eyes open, watching the blurry scene in what seems like a dream-like state. I’m lying in a puddle of my own blood, somehow knowing that I am seconds away from slipping away from this earth forever. I can feel it. Absolutely, nothing! I’m going numb. My Goddess is seconds away from claiming me. My wolf is sleeping somewhere cold. I feel alone.
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle I can now identify that he is my match in every way.
As I walk down the aisle I accept the fact that he is the primary source of my inner flame.
As I walk down the aisle I can feel the fire that he sparked within my soul.
As I walk down the aisle I can now see that the love that I feel for Cyrus is one of the main reasons that I shall always manage to push through the toughest of obstacles.
As I walk down the aisle I remember the moment’s when I first smelled his scent and felt his touch.
As I walk down the aisle I remember the very first time that I accepted my most valued Goddess gift.
(Flash Back)
The smell of mulberry spice brings life back inside of me. I’m alive. Unintentionally, a soft whimper falls from my lips and then out of nowhere a smooth firm but gentle finger touches my face sending ripple wave of pleasure to rush through my veins, and surges through my blood.
The smell and touch combined sparks a new fire to blaze brightly in the city of my core. My wolf awakens only to submit to this new power of electricity sparking within me. It feels so good.
He pulls away from me and I whine. I want some more. Like an addict craves a drug. That’s what his blood tastes like to me. It’s an addiction.
“Open your eyes,” he issues another commandment, sending fifteen flares to set off within me like dynamite. Again, I follow. It’s like I have no control over my own body.
My eyes flutter open to look into a pair of the most fascinating shade of golden eyes. The beautiful orbs can be compared to the shade of honey, splinted amber, or the burning and radiant sun ray of light. They are so beautiful. So intense! So captivating. They captivate me.
They capture my soul, chain my heart to their beholder, and make their claim. They are my sunrise. These pair of golden heaven staring into my soul is a part of the gift from my Goddess.
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle I begin to remember all of the fights.
As I walk down the aisle I can’t seem to decipher who was ever wrong or right.
As I walk down the aisle I slowly but surely begin to embrace all of the pain.
As I walk down the aisle my mind begins to wander back to the time that I felt like I was cursed.
Flashback.
“Please don’t do this to us. I am you,” my voice begins to break.
“Chosen,” Cyrus hisses the word like a venomous snake, slithering throughout my entire body breaking all of my defenses with the sting from his tongue. I’m paralyzed.
“You are nothing but my chosen. You belong to me in every way imaginable. You are mine, Embry Destiny Wilde. All of the mines, I will have you in every way and trust me when I say that is all it shall ever be. You shall forever belong to me.”
“And you belong to me,” my voice sounds weak.
“Now see that’s where you’re wrong at, Sunshine,” advises Cyrus, still looking directly into my eyes. “I belong to me. You belong to me. That’s it! That’s all.”
I feel sick to my stomach. I cover my mouth to prevent the vile from rising back up in my throat from escaping.
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle I remember the time that I dealt with the darkest parts of our love.
As I walk down the aisle I remember all of the times that he made me cry and sick to my stomach as well.
As I walk down the aisle I remember the time when I felt like all hope has failed.
As I walk down the aisle I suddenly remember the time that I raised hell.
Flashback.
“I hate you! I swear on my life that I hate you on everything that I love. I will never, ever, ever, ever in a million years follow any of your stupid rules or your commandments. You are dead to me.” I continue to shout, meaning every word and leaving Cyrus completely speechless.
At this point, it screws him and sccrew our fated union.
He’s an ass, who doesn’t deserve me and I mean that in the humblest way.
He has sucked the life out of me and that’s a fact. Cyrus has taught me that this is a dog-eat-dog world. It’s Kill or be killed!
He broke me in a matter of days. He ruined me! I’ll never forgive him. I’ll never forgive any of them. My tears are flowing and my heart is overwhelmed with pain. So this is what true pain feels like.
Well, I’m not going to go through this alone and that’s a promise. I was never the type to give up. Let alone give up on my mate but yet here I am.
Everyone has a breaking point. I guess this is mine.
My next words just fall from my mouth.
“I Embry Destiny Wilde reject you as my mate!”
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle I remember the exact moment when I realized that he was my heaven, my moon, and my sun.
As I walk down the aisle I remember exactly why I’m bound to him and why he is my one and only.
My chosen one.......
Flashback.
“Bound to me,” Cyrus cinnamon breath fans my face. “You accepted me and I accepted you. You’re bound to me and I’m bound to you,”
“You are mine, Sunshine,” he so boldly declares before smashing his lips down onto mine.
Our lip clashes. Time stops. I close my eyes as this blissful unknown force swallows me whole.
His lips are like magic.
The way that they force this enchanting power to travel through my veins and spark power to sink inside of my bones.
I can’t breathe.
They are soft but firm, hot yet cold, gentle but also rough and demanding. They take me to a magical land, to a different reality. I can live here forever.
He pulls me in towards his Goddess given body, wraps his right arm around my waist, and then deepen our kiss. Electric energy sparks fire inside of my soul. Our bodies are now molded as one. Our lips are pressed together and move in sync. All the bad that has happened so far, has somehow managed to disappear.
Nothing else matters and no one else exists. At this moment of time, our souls have become one.
(Back to reality.)
As I walk down the aisle I remember everything that we went through. The pain... The pleasure and everything else in between.
As I walk down the aisle I admit to myself that every single moment shared with him was worth the wait.
As I walk down the aisle I embrace every single emotion that Cyrus has ever made me feel because just a single second away from him feels like hell.
As I take my last step down the aisle I mentally smile about riding the emotional rollercoaster of our love.
What a hell of a ride? I think to myself as I step onto the altar, and then I take a deep breath before Gutter Butter gives me away, or more like brings back home.
Cyrus is home. I have always belonged to him, even before our once upon a time officially began.
“I’m here,” I turn and face the man of my dreams. “I came to you and I’ll never ever leave,”
Cyrus POV.
Out of the sea of beautiful faces, surrounding me I only see one. Embry. My heart. My soul. My everything. My one and only.
I’ve waited a very long time for this moment in time without even knowing that I was even waiting at all.
My heart has always yearned for her. It was always Embry.
Before Embry, there were many who attempted to capture my heart but they could never. Not a single soul on this earth could melt through the iron steel strong defenses that I placed in front of my heart other than her. Not one.
After my parents died I always felt numb. I felt as if I was missing something and now I know what.
I was missing her.
(Flashback)
“Mamă, (Mother) TATĂ, ( Father)” I squeal in excitement as I run outside to greet my parents in the courtyard.“Mi-a fost atât de dor de amândoi,(I missed both of you so much,” I tell them as my mother scoops me up into her arms.
“Ne-a fost dor de tine file,” (We missed you to son),” responds my father as he shags his hands throughout my hair.
“I see that someone has been doing great in their studies,” brags my mother before she pecks my cheek. I missed being kissed by her. “It’s always a great ordeal to hear you speak in our native tongue. “I’m proud of you, fiu, (son),” smiles my mother as she places me back down onto the ground.
“Take a step back so I can get a good look at you,” says my father while his golden eyes evaluate my ten year old figure from head to toe.
This is the first time that I’ve seen them since they sent me off to study here, in our native land Romamain five years ago.
Other than that, we communicate through letters. According to my parents, these are extremely dangerous times for a pureblood vampire to travel back and forth, especially a vampire boy.
From what I understand, our species are being hunted and killed on a great scale. My parents believed that the safest place for me is here with my Aunt Katherine due to the connection that she has with our vampire King Apollyon.
Everyone knows that King Apollyon values my aunt and that he will never allow any harm to come her way, which means that as long as I’m with her I’m safe.
Aunt Katherine is my father’s sister and the heir to our House of Ettore into I come of age to take over after my father.
Now that get me wrong, I love and adore my aunt. She’s the best aunt ever but I miss my parents.
Unlike most young vamps, I’ve been blessed with a pair of caring and loving parents, and I love them with all of my heart.
They are special. I'll rather be unsafe with them, then safe without them.
“Can I go home with you two this time,” I question both of my parents as we begin to walk back towards my aunt estate.
“I miss home,”
“And home misses you,” my mother smiles at me again. She’s always smiling. That is just who she is.
My eyes begin to water as I stare into her hazel green eyes. “But it’s not safe for you to come home yet, fit,(son)," she admits. “Besides distance makes the heart grow founder,”
"Were immortal. We shall have plenty of time together when you grow big and strong,"
“Your mother is right, Cyrus,” My father puts his two sense in.
"These are dangerous times for our species. Romania is the safest place for you, physically and mentally. I suggest that you take full advantage of your time spent here, so you can reach your full potential. Our houses' future shall be placed in your hands one day. We need a strong leader,”
“And what a strong leader you shall be,” my mother suggests as she stops walking, just to pull me back into her warm embrace.
We stay like that for a long while and I enjoy every second of it. I take a deep whiff of her natural scent, which is a mixture of wildflowers and berries. She smells so good.
I don’t ever want to leave her arms again. “Now,” she says, finally pulling away.
“Tell me all about your stay here. I want to know all about your and Prince Nicklaus adventurous,”
Later that night.
“Cyrus! Cyrus. Let’s go now,” shouts my father as he scoops me up from out of the bed.
“What’s wrong father,” I whine out, like a vamp baby. I don't want to get out of bed. The sun is out. I hate the sun it makes my skin sting but before I could further complain the most treacherous sound enters into my sensitive ears, followed by an invisible dagger being plunged into my chest with such force it causes me to scream out loud in pain.
Mother! Almost seconds later, I fall onto the hardware floor as my father drops down to his knees.
“Mother,” I cry out. It's can't be. “No, mother,”
“I love you, son,” says my father, before kissing the top of my forehead. “Don’t you ever forget that. Now sleep,” he commands before everything around me goes blank.
(Flashback)
Those were his last words, the final memories that I have of my parents, and most importantly the last day that I have ever felt complete into the day that I met her. Embry. My missing puzzle piece.
I was missing love and now that I found it again I will never let it go. Never.
The sight of our bonding ceremony is magnificent. A fairytale of a ceremony in every way. As live music begins to fill the air once again, indicating my beloved time to take her steps down the aisle.
I swear on the Blood God himself that my unbeating heart suddenly comes to life into Embry stops in the middle of the aisle, freezing the world around us.
I can literally see her mind becoming distant, attempting to pull herself away from me. I can feel her fear and sense her doubts. She is freaking out and honestly, I can’t blame her.
I’ll admit that I’m a work in progress and loving me just had to be the most difficult obstacle that she ever had to climb.
I’m a damaged soul, or at least I was as damned as they come but that all changed when I met her. Embry.
My sunshine, only with her by my side can I see the light. She changed me for the best and I rather die than live a life without her being properly claimed by me and standing by my side.
As the rightful Queen. She needs to know that I will die without her.
I close eyes and enter her head.
Her wolf immediately grants me access, I was right. She is freaking out.
“No! We can’t,” she tells her wolf as her heart begins to beat uncontrollably inside of her chest. “It’s just so strange,” she confesses. “Our start was so rocky and our trails were so hard. It was a complete wreck, I c-,”
“Can do this,” I tell her. She has to do this. My monster and I need her. I need her.
“Look at me,” I order while opening my eyes. “Look at me, Sunshine,”
Instantly, she opens her eyes and looks at me. Our eyes lock and my unbeating heart drops.
“You can do this,” I tell her again.
“I love you, sunshine. I need you. I will die if I have to wait another second without being fully mated to you. Come to me, Embry,” I speak from the heart.
“Come to me, right now,”
And that is all that it takes for my breathtakingly beautiful belove to take her first step towards me.
As she walks down the aisle it is only she that I see.
As she walks down the aisle I remember feeling the world crashing down onto me.
As she walks down the aisle my mind travels back to the time that I first met Embry. My one and only.
Flashback.
The wind blows and the air shifts around me. That scent that I’ve longed for what seems like centuries now is directly underneath my noise. The smell of earth and wildflowers brings me back to reality.
Once again, the impossible becomes possible and my frozen heart skips a beat. To be exact, this time it skips several beats and the red haze fades fast from out of my eyes as they land onto the source of the scent.
Right underneath the tree lays the body of a she-wolf.
For the first time, since I’ve been bought into existence I feel the emotion by the name of fear. I come into my sense and before a second can end I’m in front of her. Her tall and tiny frame is balled up in pain. Blood gushes from the side of her throat and my eyes zeroed in onto a total of four puncture marks and the flesh on her left hand is burnt.
Her dark waist-length hair is splattered across the ground.
Never have I’ve ever, encountered such a beauty.
Her diamond-shaped face is carved to pure perfection with high cheekbones and a cute slightly narrow nose above those brow-shaped lips that my monster can’t help but crave to lick. Her features are so soft and so delicate but her thick and full brows are so exotic and so wild.
No one is this perfect. No one!
I have to reach out to touch her just to ensure that she’s real.
A jab of electricity travels through my finger the moment I come in contact with her smooth and porcelain skin. Followed by a tidal wave of intense raw pleasure flushing through my veins, and surges through my blood.
I’ve never experienced anything like it.
I’m stunned. I can’t stop staring no matter how hard I try.
(Back to reality.)
As she walks down the aisle I remember the very exact moment when she brought me back to life.
As she walks down the aisle I remember the exact moment that she snatched my soul.
(Flash Back)
Her striking, big, and brilliant hazel eyes open to stare directly into my soul. Soul snatchers! Time seems to stop as I stare into those honey eyes. The beautiful orbs reflect the environment and the mysterious wonders of the earth. They hold the softest shade of green infused with honey
They are so beautiful. So intense!
They capture my soul, chain my heart to their beholder, and my monster demands a claim. In an instant, I understand why she has this effect on me.
Here in my arms lies the body of my beloved.
(Back to reality.)
As she walks down the aisle I remember the time when I so foolishly pushed her away.
As she walks down the aisle I remember all of the times that I should have never walked away.
(Flash Back)
“Oh and Embry! There is one more rule,” I inform her right before I reach the door.
I got to make this quick. I have to get away from her.
So, I turn around only to come face to face with her brighter than the dessert suns dazzling smile.
Oh, fuck the Gods!
Why the fuck did her creator have to make her so got damn beautiful?
See, this is the exact reason why I need to say away from her.
If she keeps this up, I might just do something stupid like the place my claim her and that can never happen.
That is exactly why I came up with these rules in the first place.
I need something in place to prevent me from giving in to my cold-heart true desire.
“Rule Number 5 is my most definite rule.” I harshly state, just to get a reaction out of her and I get a reaction alright.
In fact, she does the complete opposite of what I expected for her to do.
She smiles. A real genuine smile, just like how my mother used to smile at me and I hate her for it.
I hate her! I hate her! I hate her!
“Watch your fucking mouth,” spits out my monster, coming to our beloved defense. “You can never hate her and you know it, just look at her,”
“Fuck off,” I hiss back. “You know like I know that I can’t stop looking at her,” I spit as I eye fuck my little sexy as fuck beloved.
Oh, fuck! This is exactly what I’m talking about I think again as I pin my eyes on to the wall behind her head.
She’s fucking with my head and I won’t allow it.
“Rule Number 5,” I snap, still looking at anywhere other than at her. I can’t look at her because I know for a fact that I won’t go through with this and I must go through with this.
I must.
“Do not and I repeat do not utter a single word to anyone who you are to me. No one is to know that you’re my beloved,” I spit through clenched teeth. “No one,” and before I take it back I leave her on her own.
But not before my eyes lock onto her big, bright and breathtakingly beautiful smile, dropping.
What have I done?
(Back to reality.)
As she walks down the aisle I remember the moment when I pushed her too far.
As she walks down the aisle I remember all of the times that I broke her heart.
(Flash Back)
“No,” she screamed as loud she can as if she has never been heard before, “I’ll never get used to it. I’ll never forgive you, I hate you.” My voice breaks and my tear run down my cheeks like a waterfall. “I’m done.”
My heart stops. No, she’s not.
“You will never be done with me,” I growl. She must have lost her fucking mind.
“She belongs to us,” my monster agrees, making his presence known. She mine, I’ll chain her to the bed for centuries before I’ll let her walk out of my life.
It hurts like hell just to even think about her leaving me. Now, that I found her I won’t let ger go and I don’t care how selfish that sounds. She mine.
“If you continue to play this game, you will lose,” I tell her the truth. She will lose.
“I’ve already lost,” she whispers so low, that even with my sensitive ears that I could barely hear her.
“You can hold me hostage and chain me in place, but you can’t break what’s already broken. I hate you,”she says to me and I freeze.
“I will never heal,” she begins to say but I make myself scare before she could finish my sentence.
I couldn’t bear another second of listening to her confession.
She really does hate me and I’ll never be able to live with that.
I will fix it.
(Back to reality.)
As she walks down the aisle I remember the exact moment that my mind accepted what my heart has always known.
As she walks down the aisle I remember the exact moment that I realized that she was the girl that I would always love.
As she walks down the aisle I envision my heirs as they are birthed by her.
(Flash Back)
I’ve got her where I want her. Alone.
We’re all alone in a clearing, surrounded by pine trees, and this time there is no escaping me.
an invisible force is pulling me towards her, calling out for me.
My wicked smile grows wider. I’ve got her. She has nowhere to go and judging by the thoughts that are running through that pretty little head of her it’s clear. She doesn’t want to go anywhere other than inside of my arms.
The big and bad cat shall finally place its paws inside of the little mouse. She is mine.
Right now, she has finally realized that I have got exactly what I wanted and that I didn’t want her to realize that I could hear her thoughts into I was absolutely certain that we were all alone. \
I was testing her and she knows it.
“That is correct my sweet thing,” I admit, slowly approaching her. “I was listening in ever since you opened your eyes, sunshine.” I continue to confess, now standing directly in front of her. My face is only a few inches away from hers. We’re so close I can feel her on me and she’s not even on my skin. Nowhere near close!
“What’s going on?” Embry thinks to her self. “A couple of hours ago I hated him and now I feel,”
“Bound to me,” I whisper. She is bound to me and I am bond to her too.
“You accepted me and I accepted you. You’re bound to me and I’m bound to you. You are mine, Sunshine,” I declare before smashing my lips down on to her lips.
My first claim.
(Back to reality.)
As she walks down the aisle I remember everything that I put her through. The pain... The pleasure and everything else in between.
As she walks down the aisle I admit to myself that I regret taking her for granted.
As she walks down the aisle I regret being the cause of so many tears to run down her gorgeous face.
As she walks down the aisle I realize that every single second away from her feels like hell.
As she takes her last step down the aisle can’t help but smile at her.
She is so perfect. I think to myself as she steps onto the altar, and then take a deep breath as Gutter gives her away to where she has always belonged.
Whenever I’m with Embry I always feel like I’m home.
My house is wherever her presence is. She belongs to me.
“I’m here,” says the women of my dreams before she turns to face me.
“I came to you and I’ll never ever leave,” she smiles.
“And you will never have to because where you shall go, I will follow,” I admit before crashing my lips down onto her soft lips.
