A month had passed without any incidents, and it was time for Nina's prenatal checkup.

After breakfast, she asked Orion to go upstairs and pack her things for the hospital, giving him instructions on what to bring.

Being heavily pregnant made everything a challenge, so Nina sat on the couch, using her phone to guide Orion step by step.

Nash had been tied up with work lately, wanting to be there for her but unable to. Nina understood, which was why she decided to head to the hospital on her own.

Half an hour later, Orion came running downstairs with a small backpack. "Mom, I'm grown up now, right? I can help you with things."

Nina smiled and patted his head gently. "Yes, our Orion is really growing up."

Beaming, Orion slung the backpack over his shoulders, grabbed the wheelchair, and helped Nina into it. Fortunately, the wheelchair was electric. Otherwise, Orion's small frame wouldn't be able to push it.

The driver spotted them and immediately got out of the car to assist. "Ma'am, you should've called me."

Nina, not wanting to trouble anyone, smiled and replied, "It's fine, my son's got me."

Orion looked up proudly. "Dad's not home, so I'm the man of the house. I can take care of Mom."

The driver complimented Orion, making him even happier as he attentively watched over Nina on the way to the hospital.

Just as they arrived, Nash showed up too. Orion excitedly told him all about how he had taken care of Nina. Nash, not wanting to dampen his enthusiasm, praised him.

The three of them made their way to the prenatal clinic, checked in, and waited to be called. At that moment, Joe and Yvonne emerged from the ultrasound room. Nina, thinking Yvonne might be pregnant, quickly called out to them. Yvonne, not recognizing Nina, looked obediently at Joe. Joe, reluctant to engage with Nina, gave her a nod from afar and tried to lead Yvonne away.

Nina, impatient, urged Nash, "Push me over there. I need to know what's going on. If Yvonne's pregnant, she deserves a proper status."

Over the past month, Nina had witnessed how Joe cared for Yvonne, though she was conflicted about accepting it. What had happened couldn't be changed.

Nash didn't follow her request. Instead, he walked over, grabbed Joe, and brought him back.

When they reached Nina, Joe greeted her with a polite smile. Nina, ignoring him, gently reached out to touch Yvonne's hand.

Startled, Yvonne hid behind Joe, her frightened expression tugging at everyone's heartstrings.

Nina sighed and looked at Joe. "Is she pregnant?"

Joe, surprised, shook his head.

Nina frowned. "If she's not pregnant, then why did you bring her here? Don't you know she just had a kidney transplant?"

Her voice was filled with concern. She felt responsible for what had happened to Yvonne and wanted

helpless to take her away from him.

In Yvonne's current state, she couldn't distinguish right from wrong. The mere thought of Joe getting Yvonne pregnant, made Nina want to slap him across the face.

Nash, noticing her rising anger, gently tried to calm her while turning to Joe with a stern warning. "Joe, don't forget what I just told you."

Joe gave a forced smile. "She's not pregnant just brought her in forza check-up. You both know she's like a toddler now. I'm worried she might hurt herself if I'm not careful

Nina, still suspicious, asked sharply, "Did something happen? Why else would you be so concerned?"
