In the next couple of days, Micah focused intensely on work, while Freya made a point to eat well and get plenty of rest, and her overall complexion noticeably improved. Seeing her like this, a smile crept onto Micah's face. "You look wonderful right now. I love seeing you like this."

Freya teased him, "So, did you not like me before?"

Micah's grin grew wider. "How could I not? As long as it's you, I'll love you no matter what. But I still want you to stay healthy. Freya, I want us to have a long, full life together."

Freya felt the same way. Especially when she thought about Pharaoh's late-stage liver cancer, she realized that money couldn't always buy health. It reminded her how important it was to take good care of herself. Only by loving herself could she truly love others. Micah had arranged a private flight, and as soon as they landed, they drove straight to the hospital. When they arrived, Pharaoh had just finished his treatment for the day.

"Grandpa, does it hurt?" Orion asked, his face full of concern. "You don't have any hair left."

"Do I look silly now?" Pharaoh chuckled, reflexively rubbing his bald head. What had been a thinning patch of hair was now completely gone.

Orion shook his head, grinning. "Grandpa, you're always cool to me. I don't think you look silly at all! Plus, no hair is fun. I can rub your head, right?"

"Of course you can." Pharaoh guided Orion's hand to his head.

Orion, fascinated by the smooth texture, couldn't resist patting it a few more times. "Grandpa, you're so awesome like this! I love it!"

Nina had already explained to him

that Pharaoh's hair was gone

because of the treatment. If Pharaoh didn't get treated, he would still have

his hair but might leave them very soon Orion didn't want that

at all.

He climbed up beside Pharaoh and hugged him tightly. "I just want you to stay with me for a long, long time. When you're better, will you come to my elementary school's family day?" Pharaoh chuckled, a bit confused. "I thought you were still in kindergarten, Orion. How'd you end up in elementary school already? It's not even fall yet."

Orion corrected him eagerly, "I'm not

in elementary school yet, but I will be

soon! There'll be family days too,

and when that time comes, can you come with me? For now, Mommy and Daddy can come to my kindergarten events."

Orion didn't really understand what late-stage cancer meant, and Nina hadn't told him much either. In his young mind, he believed that by time he graduated from kindergarten, Pharaoh would definitely be all better.

Pharaoh nodded, "Alright, I'll go with you. Don't worry about my bald head. I can wear a wig. We can even pick one out together. Whatever style you think looks best, I'll wear it." Orion's eyes sparkled with excitement. He remembered passing a wig shop with his parents, seeing all kinds of colors and styles.

"Grandpa," he exclaimed, "can you wear a different hairstyle every day?"
