CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery -
Chapter 1452
"Jamie, you sit here for a bit. I'll go get the door," Winnie said, jogging over to answer it.
Sure enough, it was Ben, carrying several bags. Winnie quickly took them from him. "It's enough that you're back. You didn't need to bring all this! Come in and sit down. I'll pour you a drink." Ben switched into house slippers and walked into the living room. He sat down right next to Jamie, placing his hand on her thigh.
Watching Winnie busy herself in the kitchen, he raised his voice intentionally. "You're pregnant now. You should be resting. Let me take care of these things instead."
"I know my own body. I haven't had any nausea or anything, so I'm fine. Besides, you've been working all day. It wouldn't feel right for me to let you wait on me," Winnie replied without stopping.
She was grateful for Ben's support, both because of his busy schedule and because he was willing to help her sister. Any other man would likely have backed off the moment he learned of Jamie's situation, let alone offer financial help.
Ben said nothing more, but his hand on Jamie's thigh grew bolder, attempting to lift her skirt. Jamie clamped her legs together, her eyes filling with tears. "Please... don't..."
"What don't you want? Say it louder, like I just did," he whispered.
Ben took hold of her hand with one of his, while his other hand slipped behind her back. With a subtle pinch of his thumb and forefinger, Jamie suddenly felt her bra unclasp. Jamie's heart raced, terrified. "Stop..."
"Did you act this shy when you were sneaking around with someone else?" Ben sneered through clenched teeth.
Jamie had no idea what he was accusing her of. He was the only man she had ever been with. She hadn't even held hands with anyone else, let alone anything more
intimate. All she wanted
was to
get away from him.
As she shifted sideways, Ben moved with her, staying glued to her side until Winnie.walked back in, carrying tea. Instantly, Ben pulled his hand away, sitting up straight, looking perfectly composed. Jamie was left trembling, her breathing ragged.
"You two ended up over here on this side? The couch is big enough," Winnie commented casually, placing the cups down.
Jamie flinched, her heart pounding, too scared to even look at her sister.
Ben picked up his tea and took a sip, his eyes falling on the jewelry box on the table. "Why do you have that out?"
"I was planning to sell it tomorrow. And I gave my paycheck card to my sister, too. She really needs the money. She'll pay us back once she's able to," Winnie said openly. Ben chuckled softly. "Is that so?"
He held back any further remarks in front of Winnie. But as soon as she left, he cornered Jamie near the staircase, grabbing her by the waist and pulling her close.
"So, what do you need money for?"
he asked, his voice low. "I thought that since you already took the money, you'd at least share some with your sister. But no, you're like a bottomless pit. You're always taking and never giving. You've got enough
but still come around looking to
squeeze more out of her."
