Chapter 874

Micah's lips curled into a deep, mocking smile. "Bring them into the trap."

Mr. Joker didn't say anything, but he understood Micah's intention perfectly.

Nash once again approached the vicinity of the Yaren tribe. He had changed his appearance, using the same old tricks.

However, before he could infiltrate the Yaren tribe, a call from a Yaren tribe number came to his phone. Remembering that Nina had used Micah's phone to call him, he quickly answered.

"Are you looking for Nina?" A woman's voice asked.

The fact that someone from the Yaren tribe knew his number so well led Nash to intuitively suspect it was Micah's sister, Ivy.

Nash's expression darkened. "What are you two up to?"

"That's none of your business. If you want to get Nina back, you'll do as I say." Ivy's voice was tinged with satisfaction and calculation.

She was confident Nash would agree for Nina's sake.

To her surprise, Nash hung up the phone without a word.

The only person he had negotiated with was Micah. If the terms were to change, it should be Micah who informed him, not anyone else. He wasn't about to trust anyone else.

Hearing the busy signal, Ivy was furious. How dare Nash remain so arrogant at this stage!

She couldn't call him back, and Nash wouldn't contact her again.

Yet, she was certain she had everything under control.

Three days later, Nina was burning with fever, drifting in and out of consciousness, as if in a hallucination.

She felt as though she was back on the day she gave birth. The baby was placed in her arms, wrinkled and tiny.

Then the scene shifted. She saw the baby's eyes, shining like stars.

Suddenly, Nash was holding the baby.

Nash was beaming. "Nina, the baby is healthy. We will live a happy life together as a family."

Nina reached out her hand, but her world plunged into darkness as she lost consciousness.

The lab was in chaos because Seth had ordered that nothing should happen to her. At that moment, no one could detect any sign of life from Nina.

"Something's wrong! Mr. Seth, the woman you brought in, she's dead!"

The urgent voice reached Seth, and the messenger, in his haste, even knocked over some lab equipment.

Seth shot him a deadly glare and struck him down with a single blow.

With a thud, the man fell to the ground.

Seth strode over to Nina and quickly administered an injection. When she showed faint signs of life, he gave her a few pills. About a minute later, Nina slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing Seth standing before her, Nina's lips twisted into a cold sneer. "You care so much whether I live or die."

It felt like a dream, yet so real. But Nina knew one thing for sure. It was false. The baby was dead, and she and Nash were now separated.

Seth glared at Nina coldly. This was a crucial period for his experiments. He wouldn't let her die.

However, the commotion in the lab had caught the attention of Wilfred, who was in one of the containers.

Seth's lab was always under surveillance, but Wilfred couldn't stay submerged in the container indefinitely. Whenever his body began to swell from prolonged immersion, he would be pulled out.
