I was restless as Damon slept soundly next to me. It was late at night, but my mind was still wandering to the book I found on the shelves. Hopefully, it won't go away. But I made sure that it was hidden well so I'm sure no one will see it unless I look for it. I turned to Damon who was fast asleep. I smiled when I felt his warm embrace me. His face is pressed against my neck while his arms are embracing my body. We're both naked under the thick blanket because Damon won't be satisfied in just one round in the library. My cheeks warmed up as I remembered what happened in the library.

I sighed heavily as I watched his peaceful and handsome face. I promise you Damon that I will help replace the traitor in this palace. All you have to do is replace Jules, I'll take care of replaceing the traitor. I promise you that, Damon. I kissed his lips softly. I smiled because I felt his lips chasing mine. Even if you're still sleeping. I just shook my head.

The next day, Damon was punctual in his office. He also told me that they were going out of the palace to go for a walk in the forest because there was another lead on Jules' scent. I immediately decided to go to the library. I ordered Anna to get me food from the kitchen so she wouldn't see what I was going to do.

When Anna left, I quickly rummaged through the library shelves. I did it quickly while the sweat was forming on my forehead. I should be the only one who can know this. I don't know what's in this book, but I know it has a lot to do with what happened in the past. I know Alpha Devon left a message for Damon before he died. I took a deep breath when I finally saw the book. I quickly hid it inside my dress and made sure Anna wouldn't notice it.

When Anna came back, I talked to her normally while eating our snacks. To this day, Anna is still worried about Stone. She had a chance to talk with Stone yesterday, but it was too late because Stone was in a hurry. I couldn't help feeling guilty because I knew Stone was busier yesterday because of Damon staying by my side all day yesterday.

I also didn't tell Damon to give Stone a day off so that he and Anna could talk properly. That's why I take note of that while we were going to the dining room for lunch. I noticed Damon and Stone weren't there yet. There were only waiters. "Where's Damon?" I asked a housekeeper. The housekeeper bowed in respect to me before speaking.

"I'm sorry Luna but I don't know where the Alpha is," she said it politely. I nodded at what she said. I ate quietly but by the time I finished, Damon wasn't there. It's unusual for Damon not to eat with me during lunch or dinner so I suddenly got nervous. I know I shouldn't think negatively but what if they had an encounter with Jules and suddenly something bad happened?

That's why I couldn't resist going to the palace entrance to wait for Damon. I walked back and forth as I waited for him.

"Luna, you shouldn't be here. Come inside. Alpha Damon will definitely come later," Anna reminded me as she stood behind me. She went with me to wait for Damon.

"But...what if something dangerous happened to Damon? What should I do, Anna?" I worriedly asked.

"Alpha Damon will be fine. He has men with him, and they are all reliable for protecting the Alpha, Luna." Anna tried to calm me down. I bit my lower lip and stared at the tall gate hoping it would open revealing Damon's wolf running towards me.

I took a deep breath and just nodded to Anna. I told Anna that I would rest in the room first. Anna insists to be with me, but I told her I wanted to be alone, so she did. But when Anna left me there, I quickly locked myself in the bathroom and took the book I took from the library. Just like when I first saw it, it looks old and rusty, but it also looks fine inside.

I opened it until I flipped to the last page and that's when I saw the torn page at the end. I want to know where the last page is. What if something is written there that is hidden? That Alpha Devon wants to hide so it's torn? What if he hid the last page in any corner of the palace? I need to replace it!

But something suddenly occurred to me. The code...

"DTS8910." This reminds me of the code engraved on the library shelves. I opened the book and like the first time I saw it, Alpha Devon's life was written in it before the arrival of his youngest brother, Damon. No matter how much I flipped through the book I couldn't think of anything that connected to the code I saw on the shelves.

And then I flipped back the pages in the front and looked at it. The front page is very clean. There was nothing written there but Alpha Devon's name. Devon Tristan Scot.

"Devon Tristan Scot..." I read aloud. My lips parted as I stared at each initial letter of Alpha Devon's name.

"DTS!" I exclaimed under my breath. Doesn't DTS stand for Devon Tristan Scot?! It was belonging to Alpha Devon!

Does that mean the code is pointing out this book? Then, what about the numbers? What does it mean?

I closed the book as I felt my head throb. Damn! My head hurts just thinking about all this. I sighed heavily and looked down at the book I'm holding but my heart pounded loudly as I felt the cold sweat dripping on my forehead. The cover of the book...at first you won't notice it. I didn't notice it the first time I saw the book but when looking at it closely you will notice...something in the lower part of the book cover.

"Flip the pages...look down at the numbers...replace my secrets..." I read the small words written on the book cover. Each word is so imperceptible that I was surprised that there were even words on the book cover.

But what does it mean? Flip the pages, look down at the numbers, replace my secrets?

It sounds like it is giving me a step or it's guiding me for something. Could it be...is it true that there is a mystery hidden in this book, so these words were deliberately placed to guide anyone who searches for this secret? But it's possible that Alpha Devon only wants one particular person to know this secret. And I don't know who that is. Perhaps he made these hints based on his acquaintance with the person he hoped would reveal the truth in this book.

It's impossible for me because he didn't know me before. After all, I wasn't there before. Could it be that Damon is the one he expects to replace the truth? But...I doubt it. One of the habits I found out about Damon is...he hates reading books. I know. Because every time he goes to the library with me, he just holds a book, but he doesn't read it.

If so, who?

"Flip the pages....look down at the numbers...replace my secrets..." damn it! Why is it so hard to understand?!

I gave up looking for an answer and just hid the book in the far corner of the room where I knew Damon wouldn't see or notice. I hide it at the back of our wedding portrait.

When I went out for dinner, I was stunned to see a bit of a commotion at the entrance of the palace. I quickly went downstairs to replace out what was going on and that's when I saw Damon.

His head is...bleeding.
