Chaos Evolution: Only I Was Granted 3 Wishes -
Chapter 211: Negotiation!
When the group of 5 entered through the opening of the deva tree, they were welcomed by a wide table in what seemed like a meeting room. Draco had already seen such a scene a few times when the guardians wanted to share some interesting information, so the tension in the room was something he was familiar with.
Yapa was also a celestial who had lived for millions of years so he wasn't intimidated in the slightest, in fact, Draco was surprised to see the yap master serious for once.
But from his memories, he knew that this old monster was a profit driven fella who would do everything to achieve what he wanted.
"My, oh my, some unfamiliar faces I see here." Inside the meeting room were a few other deva aside from those Draco and Yapa came with.
"Future, get ready." Instead of answering Darkness, Light looked at a deva who looked transparent with a few white lines running through his body and spoke.
"Are the children here?" Light then asked while turning to face water.
"We're here, Father Light." Out of nowhere, a group of celestials appeared and one of them, who seemed like the one to teleport the group over, said.
"Good, we're ready then." Light said before he faced Draco and nodded.
The group of 5 then went on to sit around the meeting table.
There were 22 beings in here: 10 devas, 10 celestials, Draco, and Yapa.
As previously stated, Hestia had two entirely different groups of higher beings, and the relationship between the two was interesting as the deva called the celestials their children and the latter called them mother and father.
This was to show that celestials were nurtured and raised by the deva since they were young.
'What an interesting planet indeed.' Draco thought to himself. He was once again thinking of snatching it for himself.
"Dear devourers." After everybody sat on their places, Light started speaking.
The way the beings in this room were sitting was interesting, on both ends were Draco and Light, facing each other. To Draco's right was Yapa, looking serious and instead of yapping, he was intently listening, ready to take in any new information.
"The reason we invited you here today is to form a temporary alliance with you." Light added.
"We're in a slight dilemma at the moment, and we require your help. If you manage to get us out of our enemy's grasps, I will make sure you're satisfied with your reward." Light said.
"Before you start, what's this reward going to be?" Yapa asked before Light continued.
"I will give each one of you a deva fruit corresponding to your authority." Light thought for a second and said.
"Sir! You can't do that! The only reason we're in such a dilemma is because those bastards want to take dear mother for themselves!" Life stood up from her place and shouted.
"I know what I'm doing, Life." Light replied, his gaze on future, who was looking back at him.
"So? What do you think, dear guests?" Light then looked back at Draco and Yapa before he asked.
Draco remained silent and just looked at Yapa, who seemed like he had something to say.
"I'm afraid that isn't enough." He shook his head and said.
"Oh? What would you like then?" Instead of saying anything, Light asked back.
"Now, I don't know what is going on your mind for you to ask someone who's clearly here to completely destroy your planet for help, but I'm sure you have your reasons." Yapa started.
"However, think about it for a second. Wouldn't we have been able to get what you're offering if we just destroyed you directly? That is definitely not a good enough reward." He added.
"And what would you suggest?" Light smiled to himself, but his faceless head only faced Yapa and asked.
"We want you to come under us." Yapa suggested.
"What?!" Life once again got up from her seat.
"This cannot happen." A celestial got up to reject.
"Who do you think you are?" One after the other, the devas and celestials, who had been silent till now, got up to show their contempt.
"You all. Sit down." Light's voice was like a thunder strike; his anger that was held back until now was imminent as everybody that was up from their seat to interject had a shiver run down their spines and sat back.
"I'm afraid such a thing is hard for us to accept." Light then looked back at Yapa and said.
"Th-" Before Yapa could speak back, Draco interrupted.
"One second, Yapa. I will take it from here." Draco said.
"There is but one thing you should know. If I wanted to kill everybody here and then devour your planet, it would take but a single spell of mine, but don't think I'm threatening you or anything; I'm just speaking facts." He started.
"The reason I even bothered to follow you is because I was interested in what you had to say, and to be fair, I like this planet of yours, Hestia, very much, thus, whatever it is that's causing problems for you will die whether we agree or not."
"What remains to be seen, is if you will live to see it, or be nothing but a part of the history this planet has gone through." Draco closed his eyes, proud of himself.
"Grr." The devas and celestials, however, didn't like a single word that came from his mouth. Out of the 20 beings in here, aside from Yapa and Draco himself, only two weren't looking at Draco as if he had killed their mother.
"I do understand that." Light said.
"But before we get into anymore detail, please allow me to tell you of our current predicament." He added.
"Father light! How can you say nothing after all the shit he spouted from his mouth? This isn't like you, we shouldn't allow such disrespect to happen within our very own mother!"
