Chasing The Broken CEO -
Chapter 11
Due to the intense fear that I have felt, I am still shedding tears when we went out of the police station. It feels like all the bad lucks have been thrown out on me.
I am scared that my parents would learn about this accident. They will definitely punish me for what I have done.
"You are still crying," a familiar voice at my back has spoken.
I did not bother glancing his way. I do not even have the gut to face him right now. I just want to evacuate to the planet Mars and bury my shitty head in there. I just walked and cried my heart out. I have been wiping my face using my own handkerchief which is totally wet because of my endless tears, and ironically, I still have so many gallons of tears to cry.
I felt Evan's presence at my back. He is still following me even though I am not saying a single word. I do not want to admit the fact that I am still lucky as he was there when I needed him badly. He was the one who fixed this whole thing and was the one who negotiated with the person who owned the poor car I just broke.
Without his help, the policemen might have taken me by force and put me into jail immediately.
"I advise you to be careful next time. You are not a minor anymore. Reckless driving is punishable by law. That is a minimum of one year imprisonment, Risha." Evan said, with his ruthless and cold tone.
With his statement, I stopped walking and gasped for some air. My eyes may be swollen as hell by now but I do not even care. I turned to face him with my jaw clenched. Does he really have to say that? He is not making me feel better at all!
He is looking at me in a ruthless manner, like it feels that he wants to scold and educate me about all the right things I have to keep in mind, like he wants me to behave properly, and hell he is like an older brother who is very angry because his younger sister created a trouble and has done a stupid mistake.
"You don't have to inform me. I am fully aware of our law," I scowled at him.
"I just thought you did not know." He replied and then shrugged coolly.
"Shut up!"
I turned my back on him and walked angrily. Now that he just showed me his true attitude, I realized that I am so wrong about calling him to save my ass!
I should have contacted Chandria instead! Evan is only making me feel worse. How dare he to educate me about the law? He's not even a fucking lawyer, my goodness!
"Where are you going?" he asked just when he noticed that I walked pass on the place where he parked his car.
"You don't have to follow me," I said without even looking at him, upset with the whole situation.
I walked towards the cab terminal. Even there are people who fell in line before my turn; I will wait patiently as I do not want to be with Evan and hear all his preaching.
The sun is up in this afternoon and I can feel the beads of sweat on my forehead already but I did not mind at all. The only thing I want to do is to go home and lock myself in my room.
Unfortunately, Evan has still followed me. I rolled my eyes when I felt him at my back. So, is he going to ride a cab with me then? He's making me sick.
The young lady who is in front of me turned to look at Evan. It appears that she is fascinated with the face she sees. Her mouth opened in awe and then she closed it immediately. She smiled at Evan and then faced her front once again. Unbelievable it is. I rolled my eyes again.
"Let me drive you home," he said.
"No, thank you." I answered bitterly and crossed my arms against my chest.

"Do not make this difficult, Rish. You just caused an accident. I did not want you to be put in jail so I used my power even if it was your fault, anyway. I just paid a fucking million to clear your name. You don't even need to do community services as that was also waived. Tell me what else do I miss so I could make up with you. You're fuming mad even though you were the one who caused this to happen. Why is that?" he said through his gritted teeth. His coldness sent shivers down my spine. Each word he uttered seemed like a knife that cut me deep within. Is he trying to say that I do not have the right to feel mad just because I am the one who created this trouble? Tears fell in my cheeks. I know that I made a mistake, alright? Does he really need to rub it in my face?
"Fuck, you are crying again..."
"Would you please stop it, Evan!" I yelled at him.
I turned to him and wiped my tears away. I looked at him angrily. Maybe he's right this whole time. I was wrong and I do not have the right to act this way. The only reason why I am upset is because I still can't believe that I created a trouble and Evan, being the evil fiancé as he is, was the one who covered my ass.
And yes, I know that I have wasted his precious time and made him feel that I am his burden!
He doesn't have to worry as I will pay him back for the money he used to cover me today. But the fact that I am in debt and should be grateful with him is just truly unacceptable when he acts like this! Why does he have to be this horrible? Why did you even call and bother him in the first place, Risha Nathalie? This is really my fault!
He looked at me intensely, like he will not let me win this fight at all.
"Stop being a brat. You are not a teenager anymore."

That unwanted truth has slapped me real hard. I was about to cry a river but he grabbed my hand immediately. He dragged me as we walked our way to his car. God knows how I wanted to fight back and shout at him but his last words made me feel so affected.
He opened the door of his car's front seat and without any strength, I just get in silently. He closed the door beside me and I buckled my seatbelt as I watched him walked gracefully to the other side of his car. He gets in to the driver's seat in silence. I bit my lower lip and controlled my emotion.
That's enough, Nathalie. I realized that I have no chances to win this fight knowing that I just had a mistake. I inhaled sharply and stopped crying. I heard him sigh so many times but I did not bother to say a thing at all.
You have nothing to worry, Nathalie. The next thing you two would have a fight, it would be because of his mistakes, not yours. When that time comes, I will make sure that I will win our argument and make him feel sad and mad just like how he made me feel those today.
Silence engulfed us but the devil has ways to annoy the beast in me.
"What if that mad did not accept my offer?" he chuckled. "You will be a dead meat, Risha. You would see that offense even when you get your NBI and police clearance."
I closed my eyes and breathed in heavily. I have really lost my patience in him! Does he really have to point that out?
How can he be so evil and heartless to me?!
"Risha Nathalie Saavedra, a reckless driver..." he murmured.
Just damn it, Evan Zendejas!
I threw dagger looks at him. He's really getting into my nerves!
