Chasing The Broken CEO -
Chapter 89
I can feel the heat from the sun touching my skin when me and Evan arrived at Tagbilaran airport. I wore my brown colored aviator and turned around to see Evan who seems busy with our luggage bags. "Are you okay?" I asked him as he seems very annoyed.
His cheeks are flushing perhaps because of the hot weather today. I noticed the beads of sweat forming on his forehead and at the back of aviator he's wearing, I can see that his brows are furrowed. "Do you have to bring your whole closet? It seems to me that you don't want to go back in Manila." he commented in his irritated tone.
My eyes darted automatically on my two huge luggage bags that he pulled from the inside. That's probably the reason as to why he's irritated as he's been taking care of my things and his own luggage bag when he only have two hands. I pouted my lips and tried to suppress my playful smile as I am afraid that once he sees me smiling, he'll get more mad at me..
"I brought so many things for grandma Helga. I'm sorry, love!" I said as sweetly as I can. I walked towards him and fixed his hair. "Don't worry, one of our drivers will pick us up here so you won't have to worry about my things. Just put it there on the waiting area and relax. Please, stop being so grumpy!"
I saw him rolling his eyes at me. He pulled our things all at once and went to the waiting bay. I tried to make him feel better by throwing some jokes but he's not buying it. His face is still in grim. My lips twitched, trying to hold myself from laughing. Why is he so cute though?
After a few more minutes, the driver that will send us to my grandmother's house has finally arrived. Evan walked towards the back of our car and opened the compartment immediately. He then put our luggage bags in there while the driver named Gino opened the passenger's seat door for me. I hopped in and turned around so I can watch Evan as he take care of our things. A few seconds later, he finally closed the compartment and then joined me here in the passenger's seat. "I'm sorry..." I said as sweetly as I can. I even tried to smile cutely while staring at him. "Stop being so grumpy, please?"
"You can tell me if you want to live here instead, so I can buy you a house here in Bohol. You brought so many things as if we're going to stay here forever." He hissed and then finally, a smile became visible on his lips. My eyes narrowed at him. Is he serious about it? The offer is kind of tempting though!
"Well, if you will live with me in that house you'll purchase then I don't see any reason to decline the offer!" I joked and stuck my tongue out of my mouth before I chuckle.
And then I leaned my head on his shoulder. I felt his body starting to be at ease. He also leaned his chin on my head and hand. He then traced the visible lines on my palm. "It will happen very soon." He murmured.
His words never fails to make me feel so giddy. I bit my lower lip and enjoyed our position. His cool scent is also satisfying my nose. I closed my eyes and inhaled heavily. It always feels good whenever I am this close to him.
Tomorrow will be my grandma Helga's birthday. She's turning seventy years old and we want to celebrate that special day with her. And because I am fond in this place, I decided to request for one week vacation leave so I can stay here longer. Daddy also gave me his permission and even let Evan filed a one week vacation leave as well so he can be with me the whole time.
Evan actually loves to go back here as he said that he wasn't really able to roam around the city. He was too focused on making me safe and protected back then, that's why he was busy gawking on me all the time. And because of that, I want to make sure that he'll enjoy our stay here this time. I want him to unwind and forget this stressful work temporarily.

"Grandma!"
I hugged my grandmother tight when we arrived in her mansion. I kissed her head and can't stop myself from embracing her. I missed my grandmother so much! I will never forget all those things she did to help me back then. "My goodness, sweetheart, I missed you so much!" she said emotionally with her cracked voice.
I finally released her to look at her face. My grandmother is really beautiful even at her age. I can also see the happiness painted in her eyes.
"Do you always take your meds on time? I hope you're forgetting it!"
She laughed at me. "I may be old but I am not that forgetful, sweetheart! Of course, I am taking it on time!"
That gave me a relief. I giggled and hugged her once again. We both turned to the door when we heard the sound of the luggage bags being put in the inside.
Evan is smiling at us.
"Evan! Thanks for coming here with my granddaughter," Grandma exclaimed in glee.
I released my grandmother and let her walked towards my boyfriend. She then embraced him and I couldn't be happier because I feel that Evan is really part of my family now. I feel so happy that he finally gets the fair treatment from them. "I also wanted to visit you, grandma that's why I tag along. You look more beautiful though," he said with a plastered smile on his lips.
Grandma Helga giggled like a child. She looks like someone who is being courted by a young man. I shook my head.
"Stop that, young man! Are you trying to allure me? Should I steal you away from my granddaughter then?" Grandma joked and hit Evan's chest gently.
What are they talking about? I pursed my lips and joined them instead. I wrapped my arms on Evan's elbow. I also leaned my head on his broad arm.
"Grandma, you're too old to flirt. You can't steal him away from me," I said that made my grandmother laugh so hard.
Evan also chuckled. Even me can't hold back and laughed a bit. Why did I say that, anyway?
"Oh, you haven't seen me dating even at this age. Believe me when I say that there are men here in Bohol who would want to court me despite my age!" she told us and then rolled her eyes.
Evan and I laughed. Grandma only shook her head and then called our housemaid so that they can put our luggage bags in the room.
"So what do you want? Are you going to share a room or separate?" grandma asked maliciously.
"Grandma!" I hissed.
My cheeks blushed immediately. She's teasing us I know! My grandmother is such a kid at heart... but I want the first option...
Evan chuckled. I gazed at him. Our eyes met and I can see the amusement on his face. He smirked. Oh, wow!
"What do you like, love?" He asked me playfully.
I rolled my eyes at him. I am just trying to act grumpy but deep inside, my heart wants me to share a room with him. However, I might not be able to control myself if we do that. And my father will be furious if he learns about it. "Separate! We're not even married yet. In your dreams!" I scowled at him.
But deep inside, my heart is already crying. Damn it!
"Alright then. You can have separate rooms if you want to. Just sneak out and go to each other's room whenever you feel so..." grandma wiggled her brows as she eyed us maliciously.

"Grandma!" I hissed. "We're not like those other couples, alright?"
"But thanks grandma for the consent..." Evan grinned. I scowled at him again.
"You, pervert!" I almost yelled at him but he just laughed at me.

The sun is about to set when Evan and I decided to walk around the beach that is just a few steps away from grandma's mansion. Unlike the famous beaches in Panglao, the one we have here in Dauis is peaceful because tourists aren't visited this beach that often.
The waves are hitting the little rock formation in a gentle way. The salted air brushed mg skin. Even the salted water is cold and relaxing. My foot touched the soft and white sand that gave me a warm feeling.
We walked while holding the hands of each other. I can't hide my smile as this feels great. Being in this beautiful place with the person I love the most is way more satisfying than I expected.
"The water is too cold," I commented as I let the waves crawl into my feet.
I looked at Evan and noticed that he's watching me carefully. The side of his lips curled up and then he looked down on our feet.
"Are you having fun?" he asked, his voice too calm.
"Of course! This is the first time we have a vacation together..."
He chuckled. "We had a vacation in Batanes before, Risha."
I pouted my lips. Now that be mentioned it, I remember how Ash pointed a gun on my head. That still creeps me out.
"That was not a vacation, Evan. I escaped and you just followed me. In fact, we were more like a cat and dog back then," I corrected him and chuckled.
We stopped in front of a huge rock formation. Evan leaned his back on the rock while I am still enjoying the waves crawling into my feet. It feels good that I started playing around and stomping my feet whenever the waves are coming. "Is that so? But we shared a kiss in the lighthouse." Evan stated.
I can feel him watching my every move. I felt shy because of his statement. I remembered how we kissed while we were at the lighthouse. Back then, it was like a dream. That was the first time he kissed me. That kiss made me so confused. My face heated in shame. I pouted my lips and tried to think of a rebuttal.
"You kissed me first..." I voiced out my mind.
"You kissed me back..." he said playfully.
I bit my lower lip. I glared at him angrily. Is he teasing me again?
"And so what?" I rolled my eyes.
I continued playing with the waves. It really feels good and relaxing. I turned to face Evan. I offered my hand to him as I want him to join me.
"Come here..."
"Childish..." he murmured but then, he held my hand and joined me.
We walked on the salted water. I didn't mind even if my dress is already wet. We went to a much deeper part of the sea where the water already reached our legs.
"I want to live in a place where there is a beach that I could visit everyday." I told him. I swayed our hand and felt the cold waves hitting us.
"We can do that. What else would you like to do?" he asked carefully.
I smiled at him.
"I want to have a white horse. I want to ride a horse as I didn't have the chance to do that. I haven't tried it yet," I pouted.
"And then? What else would you want to get?"
I want to be Mrs. Zendejas.
I smiled at my own thought. I looked at him. He looks very interested in every words I'd say. Without even hesitating, I hugged him so tight and buried my face on his broad chest.
"I want to be with you every single day." I said softly. "I want to stay with you, like this as always... Evan."
The cold and salted air caressed my hair. I hugged him tight and felt his arms on my waist. He hugged me back and planted soft kissed on my head.
"We'll make sure to do everything you want. We'll do it all together..." he said gently.
"Can't wait for it to happen," I said, smiling as I released him. I gazed at him sincerely.
This man is really making me fall deeply. I don't think I can be saved from being drowned into this powerful love I feel for him.
His soulful eyes are fixated on me. My heart is pounding aggressively, excited and happy that this man stayed with me despite everything.
"It will all happen soon, love." He assured me with his soft voice. "You can no longer escape..."
I chuckled. "I have no plan of escaping from you, Zendejas!"
"That's a relief." He said and leaned forward to gave me a passionate kiss on the lips.
I wrapped my arms on his neck and kissed him back. Just like the ocean waves, my heart couldn't calm down as Evan is giving me all the satisfying emotions I've never felt before.
He taught me how to love myself, and to love him despite our sad past. He made me realize that forgiveness is still possible, and once a person is able to forgive, love and happiness both come afterwards. While the waves are crawling carelessly to our feet, and as the air is blowing our hair gently, we shared passionate kisses until we get sated.
"I will..." he murmured between our kisses, "always... love you... Rish..." he whispered and kissed me once more.
