Chapter 836 A Compensation

Back then, by a stroke of serendipity, Wyatt received a sword statutte. His act of offering it to Emrystook the latter by surprise. “Why are you giving me this sword talisman?”

“Consider this as your compensation!”

Wyatt felt a deep sense of guilt toward Emrys. In truth, he was not fond of meddling in love affairs. Thatsaid, he thought it wasn’t his place to interfere with Ameera’s decisions.

He had no choice but to make amendments in other ways.

Vyatt spent a long time thinking last night. He considered giving Emrys a high–rank martial artstechnique, martial arts skill, or perhaps a powerful magical treasure, but none of those options felt quiteright.

With Emrys golden elixir field shattered, his highest achievement in this lifetime was limited to theFoundation Stage. Even if he were given more advanced martial arts techniques or skills, they wouldn’tbe of much use.

The magical treasure, too, was no exception. Not only would it be useless in his possession, but itwould potentially also invite destruction for him.

After much contemplation, Wyatt ultimately decided to gift his sword statutte to Emrys. He reckonedthat if Emrys could get some sword energy from Sword King Mountain, it would provide him with anextra layer of self–protection.

The fact that Wyatt gave Emrys the sword statutte was considered the best compensation he couldoffer, so if Emrys ended up empty–handed, that would only mean he wasn’t destined to practiceswordsmanship and wouldn’t have anything to do with the former.

“Thank you!”

Emrys had long desired to learn swordsmanship. Only through mastering this art could he truly unleashthe full potential of the Spiritual Control Divine Sword, transforming it from a mere sharp weapon intosomething far more powerful.

So, Emrys gladly accepted the gift and expressed his gratitude. As he received the sword statutte, hefelt a compelling force at once.

It must be pointing in the direction of Sword King Mountain.

Seeing Emrys accept the sword statutte, Wyatt heaved a sigh of relief as he felt his guilt

lessen significantly. With a smile, he said, “I hope you’ll become a sword master in no

time.”

Of course, that was just a hopeful wish.

Wyatt figured it was an impossible feat, yet Emrys silently nodded in agreement. The latter had taken afew steps forward when he stopped and said, “Mr. Morris, you won’t regret today’s decision.”

After saying that, he strode away.

Wyatt subconsciously wanted to shake his head. However, when he caught sight of how resoluteEmrys was, he was momentarily taken aback.

In a fleeting moment, Wyatt, as if under an illusion, thought that Emrys would not simply fade intoobscurity. From the latter’s words and actions, it was clear that he was a person who refused to settlefor mediocrity.

Moreover, there was an indescribable air of arrogance about him.

How is it possible that someone like him would lead a life of mediocrity? But his golden elixir field wasshattered. Why would I have such a bizarre illusion?

Wyatt shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He glanced at Emrys‘ receding figure again before heturned around and left. As he was about to reach the Morris residence, however, his expressionchanged.

He spotted Ameera’standing at the entrance, staring at him expressionlessly. It seemed like she hadbeen waiting for his return.

“Did you give him that sword statutte?” Ameera cast Wyatt a glance and spoke unemotionally while hewas still at a loss.

Mortified, Wyatt stuttered, “So, wifey, you’ve found out…”

“Tsk. We’ve been married for so long, after all. Do you think I wouldn’t know what’s on your mind?”

“Hehe!” Wyatt chuckled heartily. Seeing that despite her cold expression, Ameera was not angry, heasked in surprise, “Don’t you blame me, wifey?”

“Why should I blame you?”

Ameera cast him a sidelong glance and continued, “Although Emrys‘ future is ruined, he

has a good sense of awareness. Gifting him the sword statutte is probably a form of compensation.”

Ameera had overheard the conversation between Emrys and Ninette last night. She thought that thosewords he said were merely to console Ninette.

Coincidentally, those words were perfectly aligned with Ameera’s wishes. She believed. that Emryswas sensible enough to realize that he was a burden and thus chose to leave the Morris residence onhis own accord.
