Chapter 838 Peter Laverick

The masked youth was none other than Emrys.

He spent a few days mastering Shapeshifting Technique he had obtained from the Morris family, successfully altering his physique. The ten masks he had initially crafted for use in the outside worldfinally came in handy.

Today, he had come to scale Sword King Mountain, assuming the role of Tigger from Rabid Gang.

He naturally began to ascend the Emrys didn’t linger at the foot of the mountain for mountain steps. The initial third of the journey didn’t feel strenuous, nor did he sense any aura of sword energy.

After climbing a third of the mountain stairs, a slight tremor passed through Emrys‘ heart.

A faint aura of sword energy began to waft around him, but it was far too weak for Emrys liking.Unsatisfied, he continued his ascent up the mountain steps. By the time he reached the mountain’smidsection, he finally understood why so many people had gathered

there.

The sword energy in this position was neither too strong nor too weak, just right for cultivation. Moreover, for those in Foundation Stage of their cultivation, ascending further started to present achallenge.

Emrys could see it clearly, even without the rules of Sword King Mountain, he doubted anyone woulddare to interfere with others lightly. Because once there was malicious interference, conflict wasinevitable. The consequence would be both parties being shaken off the mountain by the sword energypresent here.

I should continue.

Emrys’s goal was clearly not limited to the mountainside. He quickly surpassed this small. denselypopulated area and continued upward.

After crossing the mountainside, he reached the final third of the stairway on the back of Sword KingMountain.

The number of climbers significantly decreased.

There were only a few climbers present.

Morcover, the few figures that were present did not continue their ascent. Instead, they were scattered, sitting cross–legged on the mountain stairs, evidently immersed in comprehending sword energy.

Emrys didn’t bother with them and just kept moving upward.

His goal was straightforward–the summit of the mountain.

As Emrys was about to surpass the chubby cultivator who was currently at the highest point, thechubby man suddenly opened his eyes and said, “Buddy, it’s quite impressive. that you’ve managed toclimb up here.”

Emrys halted in his tracks, turning to look at the chubby man. It was clear that the man had finished hiscultivation and was preparing to descend the mountain.

Throughout the journey uphill, Emrys hadn’t spoken to anyone, and indeed, it was quite dull. Hearingthe chubby guy strike up a conversation, he responded with a smile, “Why do I get the feeling you’repraising yourself?”

“You could think of it that way.”

The chubby guy was cool and exuded confidence, a stark contrast to his affable nature, which seemedto be built layer by layer from his extra pounds. It felt as though he was deliberately playing up hiscoolness.

Emrys chuckled, taking another step up the mountain stairs. But the chubby man suddenly spokeagain. “I wouldn’t recommend you keep climbing.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

Emrys looked at the chubby man with a puzzled expression.

With a cool and confident expression, the chubby man said, “What matters most is appropriateness. The sword energy here is already enough for you to comprehend. If your continue to ascend, the swordenergy will be too strong and less effective than here. What truly matters is what is most suitable foryou.”

How philosophical.

However, when the words came from the mouth of the portly philosopher, they carried an inexplicablycomical effect.

After giving it some serious thought, Emrys said, “I believe the mountaintop suits me better.

The chubby man gave Emrys an odd look and said, “Buddy, you don’t seem to be from one of theThree Sword Sects, are you? Did you get here to Sword King Mountain through a sword statutte?”

This chubby guy was rather impressive, as he had effortlessly figured out that Emrys was a foreigner.

Intrigue sparked within Emrys, and with a respectful gesture of his fist, he introduced himself. “I’m fromRabid Gang. Call me Tigger.”

Tigger? Rabid Gang? Why do the names sound so unbelievable?

However, the chubby man was someone who believed in reciprocating courtesies. Seeing Emryswillingly reveal his identity, regardless of its authenticity, he politely responded, “I am Peter Laverickfrom Soul Sword Sect.”

“Mr. Peter, how were you so certain earlier that I wasn’t a member of Three Sword Sects?” Emrysasked curiously.

Peter’s mouth lifted into a smirk, exuding an air of profound mystery as he spoke. “I have a discerningeye. Just one look at your demeanor, and I can tell you’re not a disciple of Three Sword Sects.”
