Claimed By The Rogue Alpha Chapter 18
==Olivia== Swallowing down the heap of excitement in me, I opened the door. As soon as I did that, rays of sunlight hit me. I squinted my eyes. This was officially the first time that I was stepping outside. It was almost as if sunlight and fresh air had become a luxury. I stepped out of the door, into the threshold and took the scene before me. This was the backyard, I supposed. There were a lot of plants. All green. They were everywhere. Lianas on the walls, grasses on the floor, trees, shrubs. A light breeze came through and I sighed. This was life. I stared at the garden for some time, appreciating the nice breeze. The compound was big and there were a lot of twists and turns. How can anyone build such complexity?
I kept walking till I came before what looked like a maze. It was a hedge bush that had been cut into a shape. I got inside, rounding the structure.
I brushed my fingers across the bush, a little smile playing on my lips. This place was beautiful. I wasn't gonna lie. I couldn't understand how a place this idyllic could have a beast as its owner. It beat me. And I still couldn't believe I was stuck here. Forever. My heart squeezed as the thought came. I was sure people would be worried sick about me. My boss, my reading partner at the library....and Leah. Poor Leah. What could she be thinking now?
Pete... It would never be well with him. Wherever he was, I hoped karma caught up with him. Sighing, I began walking back into the building. My joy had been erased, merely thinking about Pete's betrayal. Through the backdoor, I got inside. I met some maids and servants walking around as I made it to my room. I chose not to pay attention to them.
I opened the door and got inside. I slumped on the bed. This was what my life had become. A bore. There basically was nothing I did. Just hanging around, staring at whatever could be stared. I wondered why Matteo hadn't given me any task yet. Technically, I was his slave. Therefore, I had to be working my a*s off in the farm, or wherever.
I sighed, closing and opening my eyes. This room was by far larger than what a slave should have. A princess sized bed (for lack of proper expression) stood in the centre of the room, lying below an elegantly designed light fixture. Light and breeze would enter through the windows, making me forget about my pathetic plight.
I tossed and turned around, bored to death, until I couldn't take it anymore. I stood up and left the room. I was going to explore the indoors, just as I'd done outside. The hallways were fairly wide and all with the same rococo style. I see someone's obsessed. I didn't have anywhere specific I wanted to go, but then I decided to visit the library...or as the a*****e liked to put it, the chambers. As I walked, I realised that I didn't know where the place was. I didn't know how to replace my way there. Frustrated, I kept taking the turns till I arrived at a dead end. I stood at the mouth of the hall of this dead end. Great. There was only one door in the the hallway. I'd just get there. I walked towards it, tried the knob and to my surprise, the door opened. There was a staircase they led down. Maybe to the basement. I stepped inside, making sure that nobody saw me and began making my way down. It was dark, really dark. So, I took my time climbing down the stairs. I tried not to think of the possibility that rats or spiders were lurking somewhere. Then again, I think that to be true. Matteo, as infuriating as he was, didn't come across as an untidy person. Not at all. So, it was safe to believe that there were no creatures here.

I took the last step, almost short of breath. How far is this thing? I gulled down saliva and groped for a switch. I was lucky to replace one on time. I flip it on, meeting this nondescript room with grey walls. What is this place?
There was a door at the right corner. I walked there and opened it. In was a tiny passageway. I placed one foot in, about to place the other when a voice came.
"What do you think you're doing?"
I jerked, almost missing my step and falling on the floor. I turned around sharply to saw him. His jaw set, arm crossed around his chest. He had on a white long sleeved shirt and black jeans. His hair glistened under the light, making me see how dark they were. Like a raven's feathers.
I swallowed hard as I caught sight of his hard chest. Pinching myself hard, I broke from the spell and turned to leave.
"You haven't answered my question."
I halted my steps. Anger was beginning to set in, but I wouldn't give in. I'd simply ignore and make my way out.
"I'm sorry."
"That didn't answer the question," he said.
That was it. I couldn't take it anymore. But rather than yell out my thoughts, I wore a half smile and turned to him. "I was bored, Mr. Matteo. What would you rather have me do?"
"Stay in your room."
I glared at him.
"It's for your own good."
"Stay in your room."
He looked at me intently. "Can you handle the truth?"
There was something in the way he said that that had me apprehensive. I swallowed, and took my eyes away from him. It was as if he could see through me. "You're a virgin, aren't you?"
"What?" I whipped my head at him.
"You haven't had s*x before."
"And who the f**k do you think you are?"
"Your owner," he deadpanned. A smug smile playing on his lips.
He was pushing me. He really was. But for some reason, I didn't want to explode.
"And I see you're a man whore." As soon as I said that, his smile disappeared. Excellent. "You've have s*x much more than porn stars. Kudos."
His state hardened. He began moving close to me. Right there and then, my confidence began to fade. I took a step back until something barred me. A wall. "Why are you running?" he asked.
Shit. There was no way for me to escape. My back pressed tightly on the wall. He stopped when he was few inches away from me, and placed his both hands on the wall. He looked down at me. His gaze boring into me. "Why are you running?"
"I...I'm not running-" I managed to breath out.
"Oh, really?"
I tried not too squirm. He was uncomfortably close. I could see his eyes clearly. How deep blue they were. Almost like the sky on a bright day. His breath was minty, almost intoxicating me.
He dropped his face further. Our noses were inches apart. I could see the entire outline of his face. How perfectly limed his brows were. How pointed and straight his nose was. He was flawless. It set me on edge.
His breath brushed my nose and I closed my eyes. My legs had grown weak, and the spot in between my thighs was getting wet. I should pull away. I should make a run for it, but I remained where I was.
I felt the trail of his breath. From my nose to my neck. It lingered there for a while before it suddenly vanished. It was as if warmth had been pushed far away from me.
I opened my eyes instantly. My throat becoming strangely dry. He was about three steps away from me. His expression as unreadable as ever.
"It's good that you're a virgin."
I was sure he hadn't intended for me to hear it. But somehow I did. I furrowed my brows. The anger that had faded away returned in full swing. In one sharp turn, I moved away from him and headed for the stairs.
