Claimed By The Rogue Alpha Chapter 64

The sky sparkled, although not much was going on on it. Stationary clouds gave no alarm for a storm. For most parts of Fridgeton, this was the kind of night perfect for cookouts.

Holly Creeks was anything but...holy. An out-of-town region on the eastern border, it was a ghostown having a head count of less than 50. It went without saying that not too many people paid it a visit. This, however, couldn't be said for a young man who zoomed out from the shadows. He couldn't be more than 18, even with his five foot two-ish height. He stopped to catch his breach, his hands clapsed on his knees. His shoulders heaved, as he pushed out breath noisly. His dreadlocks swinging as he did.

Indeed jogging all the way from the subway to this place was an excerise reserved for the tough-hearted. It had been nothing less than twenty minutes.

When he must have gotten himself, he resumed-taking a stroll this time. There weren't much buildings here. Again, that didn't come as a surprise. Bushes, however, appeared to take the centre stage. Old electric poles stood on either side, and as few as six floodlights were present. All of which, had one fault or the other. Either the light flickered, or a buzzing sound hummed. And if not that, the current w as incredibly low.

After about five minutes, the boy came to a halt. His eyes roamed around the two-storyed building beside him. The lights were off, which spelt as both goodluck and a bad. Good in the sense that the elderly owners were fast asleep and bad because the person he was interested in meeting could be catching the z's as well.

The boy crossed himself, hoping his fears wouldn't happen. He looked around him, and now sure he wasn't being followed, he crept toward the little wooden gate at the right end of the building. He climbed it over it, making a sleek transition. He tiptoed some distance and came to a stop. The room above had its light on. He smiled. Awesome!

Slipping his hand into his back pocket, he drew out his phone and texted. He waited for a while and when he took his eyes back to his phone, a toothy grin grew in his face. He slipped the phone back in and scoured around for something. Before long, he came upon the item-a ladder-and leaned it against the wall. He climbed, taking his steps slowly and steadily. On reaching his destination, he knocked-just a single sound-and was led in.

Ten minutes later, he reemerged, hanging on the winds with his lips glued to another's.

"You were so f*****g wet. Are you sure we shouldn't go for a second?"

A girly giggle sounded. In a hushed tone, it went, "We can do that during Spanish. Will text later."

The boy pouted. "Awn. Catch you later." He claimed her lips for a brief moment before descending the ladder. In a matter of seconds, he was out of the compound. He backtracked. He only few steps before something moved behind him. He turned around but couldn't see anyone. Eerie silence screamed at him. Not thinking much of it, he continued with his journey. He only had three minutes befire he'd get to the main road. He juts had to-

A brush across his back killed his thoughts. He turned for the second time. His demeanour, no longer calm, but agitated.

"Hey. Anyone there?" He got no response. His heartbeat rose several notches uo. He swore he'd felt something in his back. He swore something had touched him. This was getting increasingly disturbing.

He hasted his pace, and before long, he was running. He was close to the main road now. Just few more steps and he'd get there. However, he'd never do so because something gripped him by the leg. And as he opened his mouth to scream, his neck experienced great strain. So strong was it that it swallowed uo his attempt to make a tangible sound. On cue, he felt his neck. A deep whole had been cut deep into it. It was wet with something. Bringing his hand to his face, he recognised the wet substance to be blood. Turning around, with blood oozing from his mouth and with diminishing consciousness, he came face to face with a creature. A white wolf with cold monstrous eyes. It was the last thing he saw before blacking out.
