Claimed By The Rogue Alpha Chapter 84

5:55 pm.

I would so f*****g deal with Matteo!

The f**k, the dude had told me to stay in his room pending his quick arrival. Guess what, eons.....epochs had passed by and there had been no sign of him. Not even his shadow. Not even his smell, scent, whatever. The room was growing darker, and dear mister wasn't here yet!

Initially, I had left the room to meet him outside. Lo and behold, the entrance was completely manned by guards. My anxiety peaked. I'd guessed a similar phenomenon existed in other entrances/exits, and I hadn't wasted my energy trying them out. Again, rather than going to my room, I'd returned to Matteo's, mainly because it had a balcony which would likely offer me access to the outside. However, to my chagrin, that balcony was locked.

I had remained in Matteo's room because I felt safe here. I couldn't tell why I felt so, but that was it.

I stopped pacing about and sat on the bed.

First it was a curfew, and now this? What... I buried my face in my palm before slowly looking up as a creepy thought descended on me.

Could this be a ruse? Could it be that Matteo didn't want me to go, and therefore, built up this elaborate lie just to get me scared? But why would he do that? He had told me I was free to leave and he'd sounded genuine.

I could hear my instinct tut at me. Am I this gullible? What if Matteo was f*****g with my mind... Cold shivers ran down my body. I shut my eye, not wanting to believe what my gut suggested.

6:20 pm

I stood from the bed, taking my eyes around the room. Like I'd said, I felt uncomfortably safe here. Yes, uncomfortably because my mind had begun having doubts over Matteo once again.

I shut my eyes. I didn't want to dwell on that. Didn't want to thread in that direction as the thought would make me tear up. And so I focused my attention on the room's outlook. The room looked bigger than it truly was, given the light hue the walls were painted with. A heavy curtain lined the window by my right and in front of me was two large cabinets that stood beside the 32 inch TV. The cabinets were open and had the most random things: a ceramic vase, a flower pot and two golden chalice. Not weird. My eyes were glued at the TV. Perhaps, I could just switch it on, and pass time. That should take my mind off today's weirdness.

I stood up and searched for the remote but couldn't replace it. Focusing on the TV, I searched for any button or stuff that would enable me switch it on. Again, there was nothing. Is this a joke?

I then decided to bend under and carry out the search there. Yes, I was determined to turn on this freaking TV.

My fingers brushed against on of the cables and the lights went off, putting me in total darkness. I gasped. Did I touch anything?

I didn't know why but I got this feeling of déjà vu. I was groping around for the door when something entered my ears. Noise. Like a commotion of some sort.

Concerned and curious, I walked to window and pulled the curtains apart.. Again, I couldn't really see anything as the entire compound had a blackout. Frustrated, I walked back to the bed.

Hardly had I sat than a loud frightening, growl, or rather, growls reached my ears. They chilled my spine and I saw myself springing from the bed. That sound. It only meant want thing. To be sure, I found my way to the window again and peered outside.

In the darkness, there appeared to be people moving. Or...figures, I couldn't really tell from all the chaos and animalistic noise that reached my ears. It took a while before it all sank in. Those weren't mere animalistic noises. Those belonged to wolves. Werefreakingwolves had found their way here!
