Hardwick's POV

I marched towards Daisy who was standing alone bowing her head. I couldn't help but feel angerrising in my chest. It was a game but how dare she put such a stunt towards my mate. Does shehave any idea what would have happened if Savannah didn't avoid the dagger in time?

"Follow me" I ordered using my Alpha tone. I gritted my teeth and walked towards the tent madefor the Dark Forest Pack. I can feel Daisy's trembling steps behind me as I walk inside the tent. Thesilence dropped inside the tent.

"Did you know what sin you have committed today?" I asked her.

"Master that was unintentional” Daisy replied in low tone. I turned around and glared at her."Unintentional? Do you take me as a fool? Or do you think I can't see through your plans?” Igrowled. The thought of my mate getting hurt is unbearable. Yet she still has the gut to lie. Nomatter how much she tried to act infront of me, I knew her better than anyone.

"Master" Cora and Mark rushed inside and looked at us. Their eyes widened when they saw Daisytrembling.

"I asked you something?" I growled ignoring them. My only focus right now is Daisy and for others Ireally don't care.

"Master that...that...." Daisy stammered as she bit her lips. Like she is trying hard to refrain herselffrom speaking which angered me even more.

"That what?" I shouted, making her flinch. "Haven't I warned you before? Yet you still dared to actbrazenly?”

Daisy looked up with her teary eyes "master, I couldn't see this. I couldn't endure her. She may beyour mate but she...she is taking Delaney's place. I can't see that. It should be Delaney notSavannah" she almost screamed.

"Daisy" Cora gasped as coveted her mouth.

My anger blasted like lava as I heard her shout. In a second her neck was within my grasp and Islammed her on the ground. My wolf raged with anger as we glared down at her. Daisy choked asshe tried to struggle free from my hold.

~ Kill her ~ Onyx growled angrily. He is as angry as me.

"What did you say? You really got a gut to utter that name. Looks like my last warning went intodeaf ears, doesn't it?" I laughed loudly "who do you think you are to compare a slut with my mate?You even dared to utter your Luna's name without showing any respect” I pressured my hold evenmore. Snapping her neck is not a big thing. It won't even take a second for me to take her life.Daisy gasped for air and her skin turned slightly purple. But she couldn't utter a single word. Herstruggle stopped and she clutched my wrist trying to free her neck.

"If it was not for your father, who committed himself in the pack and been loyal for years I wouldhave killed you the moment you thought of harming my mate” I gritted my teeth. I have reallyunderestimated this girl's gut and given her many opportunities to rectify her deeds but she willnever learn until she gets her punishment.

"Master" Mark called out "she is muddle headed and couldn't think of anything right now. Pleaseforgive her this time"

"Shut up” I turned around and threw a glare. "Where were you two when she came up with such anidea and proposed herself in today's game? You both have been with her for ages and yet couldn'treplace her action suspicious?"

Cora and Mark lowered their heads.

"Both of you are guilty as her, I will deal with you two after returning back to the pack"

I turned my attention towards Daisy who was almost lying dead. "I have underestimated you butfrom today onwards you will see what fear looks like" I loosened my grip and stood up.

"Get her back to the pack and send her to the East Side" I ordered.

"East side?" Cora looked shocked and she couldn't hide her gasp too. Looks like they neverexpected it coming.

"Master this-"

"Do I need your opinion to make my decision?” I glared at Mark. "Don't forget your duty whileengaging yourself in emotional pool”

"I am sorry master" he lowered his head and didn't say a word.

"Today her action has already caused havoc and ruined the reputation of our pack. The pack thatothers viewed as supreme has lost its face because of a mere pack member. Moreover she tried toharm Luna because of her own personal matters. These are enough to prove her guilty. My patienceare running out, it will be better if you work faster than questioning my decision”

Cora and Mark picked Daisy up and left the tent. I looked at their disappearing back and clenchedmy fist.

Delaney? Seriously?

How come that slut got any qualification to get compared with my beautiful mate. Today Daisy'saction will definitely give birth to suspicion in Savannah's heart. The members of my own pack aretrying to hurt their own Luna without any rhymes and reasons.

~ We need to prepare everything before taking our mate in the pack. This kind of thing should nothappen again ~ Onyx growled.

~ I loosened my hold for sometime which caused such great issues ~ I replied.

~ Matter of Delaney should not be brought up in future. I don't want our mate to hate us ~

~ you are right ~ I sighed.

Delaney is the most sensitive matter that ever happened in my life. I really don't want my mate toknow about her. If she hates us for this, how will I live? No matter what, the matter of Delaneyshould be vanished. And this is the right thing to do. I picked up my phone and dialled Ryan'snumber.

It was almost at the end of the ring that he picked up "what?" He groaned.

"Wh-" because I could say I heard a voice in the background.

"Oh, my god...ah..."

I rolled my eyes. This man could not hold himself before getting laid with women.

"Fuck" Ryan let out a painful groan.

"Can you stop your actions, I have some important matters to talk about,” I said in the line.

"Right now?" He asked.

"Right now"

"Fuck man" Ryan cursed then I heard rustling in the background like he is getting out of the bed."What happened?”

"Cora and Mark will be taking Daisy back in the pack. I need you to deal with her and send her toEast Side”

"What? East side? Are you serious?" Ryan barked.

"Do you think I have free time to joke?"

"But what did she do?"

"She tried to kill my mate. Is that enough?" I gritted my teeth.

"Fuck, is her head filled with waste? How come she suddenly thought of that ridiculous idea?"

"Ask her yourself when she gets there. Make sure she goes to the East Side. Mark and Cora are herclose ones and I don't want any emotional drama in between”

"Consider it done. I will personally deal with this matter” Ryan assured.

"Good. Get it done before I return back"

"Will you be bringing Luna back?"

"Yes"

"Good, I can finally see what your mate looks like" his tone filled with excitement.

I rolled my eyes "don't get your expectations too high or I will kick you out of the pack”

"Come on man, you can't be that cruel to me"

Just then a pitch voice yelled in the background "come on baby, come back to me"

"Shut her up” then I ended the call not wanting to tolerate him anymore.

I don't want any disturbance between me and my mate no matter what.

Avan's POV

"Avan you are hurting me” Reese winced as I dragged her inside the pack house. When we walkedin mom dad and Reese's parents were already in the hall.

I threw her on the floor angrily.

"Reese" Salina screamed as she ran towards her daughter.

"Avan what are you doing? Is the game over so early?" Dad frowned

"Over?" I laughed loudly "ask this woman who is the reason behind our early leave" I pointedtowards Reese.

"What happened again?” Dad asked.

Reese was sobbing in Salina's arm. Today her tears didn't make me feel sympathy yet it made mefeel disgusted.

"Reese what happened? You went to the event cheerfully yet why return in such a state?" Salinaasked her daughter.

"Mom...mom..." Reese sobbed again.

"What happened? Are you going to explain or not?" Dad asked impatiently.

"What will she say? " I gritted my teeth in anger "I will tell you everything” this was the biggesthumiliation of my pack that I could never tolerate. After the morning incident I couldn't stay in theevent but had to take Reese back in the pack.

"This woman had ruined all the reputation of our pack. No matter what I do from today onwards theother pack will view us as a joke" I said as I glared at Reese.

"What?" Dad was shocked.

"How could this happen?” Salina barked in "Reese is well mannered since she is a kid. How can sheruin the reputation of the pack? Alpha there must be some misunderstanding”"Misunderstanding?" I laughed angrily "you still put it in that way? Ask your beloved daughter whatshe was doing sleeping on the ground outside the tent wearing almost nothing?"

Salina's eyes widened "what?" She turned her head to look at her daughter "Reese what Alphasaying is true?"

"Mom, it was a mistake. I really didn't know anything” Reese shook her head. I rolled my eyes at her.She is still playing an innocent role?

"Alpha, you know Reese for such a long time, there must be some misunderstanding. Besides Reesewill never do such thing to ruin the reputation of the -"

"She already ruined it. The other pack were ridiculing us and enjoying the show that your beloveddaughter put for everyone to see” I glared at Salina.

"Avan please believe me, I did not do anything. You have to trust me. I really don't know whathappened. After you left, I felt bored and wanted to go to my tent but suddenly everything becameblurry and when I woke up it was already the next day" Reese sobbed.

I can clearly see that it's a lie. Reese is a strong wolf and for her to give such an explanation is likeshe is putting herself in an ordinary girl position to look pitiful. Even though it was true that shenever did anything that caused any harm in the pack, the past actions could not count in thepresent and there's also no guarantee that she won't do it in future. Taking her to the event was thebiggest mistake I ever made. My goal to go to the event is already ruined but adding to her causingsuch a big drama I had to leave the event before it ends. After that incident I couldn't replace a goodchance to talk to Savannah and it's all because of this woman. Now the members of the other packwho witnessed the scene will take us as a joke. Such a humiliation is something I could never digest.I have been trying to contact and keep good friendships with other packs but after this matter willthey take me seriously?

"We can't change this matter. Since it's already happened then there's no way we could change it"dad's voice rolled in breaking my trance. I suppressed my rage and snorted before turning my headto the other side. A feeling of disgust raised in my chest again.

"Salina, escort Reese in her room" Mom said after dad.

"Avan" Reese called out my name before Salina led her away forcefully.

"I am sorry Alpha, my daughter has caused a great deal this time" Farid looked guilty as he saidonce the other two women left the hall.

"Don't let Reese out of the pack. Make sure she stays inside her room" Dad ordered strongly.

"Yes" then Farid walked away.

"Avan in the study right now,” Dad said as he walked towards the study. I sighed and followed himknowing what's coming for me.

"How could this kind of thing happen?" Dad barked angrily as soon as I closed the study door.

"I don't know dad" I shook my head.

"You don't know, " he slapped the table and glared at me. "You are the Alpha but you don't knowhow a mere member of your own pack caused such havoc. Our pack is already losing theconnection and adding to this matter it will weaken what we have right now. Do you want us todrop down from the 3rd position too?"

I sighed inwardly. I knew what he was fearing. After Savannah left the pack one after anotherproblems happened now and then. A pack without any support is like a lonely rogue wanderingaround. If this goes on then there won't be any chance for us to regain our position in the future."Have you talked with Savannah?" He asked again.

I shook my head "no, after that incident she stayed in her tent almost all of the time. She neverparticipated in any game. And even if she out there will always be someone with her specially thatman"

Dad sat down on the chair with a thud "do you know who's that man?"

"No" because of other matters I didn't have time to investigate that man. But my blood boils everytime I see them together too intimately.

"Do you know dad?" I asked him. Didn't he say he will investigate that man?

"He is the the Alpha” dad replied "Alpha of the Dark Forest Pack"

I sucked the cold air as I heard him. Alpha of the Dark Forest Pack? The first position holder on thetribe. It says that the Alpha of Dark Forest Pack never showed himself much let alone joining anysmall gaming event. But the main question is how come Savannah got to know him? And how comethey become mates?

"How could that be possible?" I asked dad. "How come Savannah became his mate all of a sudden?How come a wolf has two mates at the same time when I am still alive?"

For a lifetime a wolf could only have one mate. But if for any reason the first mate died then maybethere will be a chance for a second mate. But my case is different. Even though she rejected thebond, she couldn't possibly replace another mate. How come these things happened?

"This is a mystery,” dad said, making me look at him. I didn't say anything as he continued. "Somany things happened in these two years that were beyond our imagination. And how she gotpaired with another mate is something we couldn't understand. May be the someone can tell us"

I frowned "someone? who?"

"There's someone called Beau, I heard he can understand this kind of mystery. So maybe he canhelp us to replace out”

"Where does he live?" I asked.

"In Tiwan Forest. Once this events ends let's make a trip in there”

I nodded. I couldn't tolerate this. Savannah should not be with that man no matter what. She shouldbe with me, here in my pack, living with me. No matter what, even if there's someone I will snatchher away and bring her back where she belongs.
