Cold Hearted Mate
Chapter 25

Alpha Connor and Princess Carmina are all making their final plans in the conference room to go after to reinforce their father with the other remaining warriors of the Alpha King. There has been news that the Alpha King requested for reinforcements.

"Why did my father not inform us through mind-link?" Alpha Connor asked other members of the pack present in the meeting room.

"He only instructed the fastest warrior to go back here to the Royal Palace to inform us what went down. It appears that the rogue werewolves had a powerful witch with them." Alpha King's Delta informed Alpha Connor and Princess Carmina. Before they could leave the Royal Palace, Andrew communicated with Alpha Connor through mind-link that a faint scent has become present inside the Royal Palace.

"What?!" Alpha Connor surprisingly reacted.

"It's a classic diversion tactic! Someone has infiltrated within the walls of the Royal Palace." Clell said to Alpha Connor in his mind.

Alpha Connor stopped everyone from leaving instead they went ahead to where Andrew traced the faint.

A guy with platinum hair and blue eyes who is covering half his face is caught while snooping around the Alpha King's private chambers.

The intruder was surprised as well and immediately threw sharp knives towards Alpha Connor's way but Alpha Connor evaded it easily.

Then, the warriors of the Alpha King behind Alpha Connor immediately shifted to their wolf form and launched an attack on the platinum haired intruder. "Explosion!"

An ability activated by the intruder. Right after the intruder activated his ability, a strong blast of the explosion destroyed everything in its path, throwing everyone off to a distance and destroying the entire private chamber of the Alpha King. There was a loud ring on Alpha Connor's hearing making him disoriented for a bit watching everything go haywire. The intruder's ability was so powerful that all werewolves blasted off from the room.

Realization sank in that most of the warriors got injured including Princess Carmina.

"Hey! Get a grip, boy! Tend to the wounded ones and stop slacking off!" Clell demanded from Alpha Connor's mind.

"Carmina! Dolf!" Alpha Connor remembered the two of the people that meant a lot to him. He calls out for his best friend and younger sister.

No one would respond to his Ultimate Mind-Link.

It is an ability that allows the Alpha to mind-link in a collective number. Alpha Connor kept trying to get a response but no one would answer him, no response from his Beta, his Beta's mate, Delta nor from Andrew.

The Alpha King's chambers were located on the second floor of the Royal Palace. Everything was supposed to be regal and elegant. Now, it is all but rubble, smoke, fire and injured bodies that Alpha Connor is not sure if those bodies are alive or dead. Marissa's screams suddenly took Alpha Connor's attention.

Alpha Connor activated one of his special abilities. Alpha Connor plans to regenerate faster so he can move quicker and dispel the disorientation that he is feeling.

Blood was flowing down from the Alpha Connor's head. Though, he tries to gather all his strength and rationality to think about what has to be done next.

The Alpha Connor immediately went to Marissa's side and saw her crying over her unconscious mate.

"Alpha! Dolf won't wake up! I cannot feel his pulse. Alpha!" Marissa breaks down in tears in fear for her mate's life.

Alpha Connor releases his wolf claws.

"Clell, I need to ask you a favor, I know we should not do this because you warned me about it but only this time." Connor said to his wolf.

There is a very rare ability that Alpha Connor learned when he was in a battle during his younger years. He was taught about this knowledge by his former mentor, Alpha King's Beta. "Life Share!"

The power to share the quick regeneration ability of an Alpha when the Ultimate Force is activated. It is only accessible to very few Alphas dues to the risk it brings to the Alpha. They do not just share their ability but also transfer a few essence of their life span. That is why it cannot be learned by just any Alpha werewolf. It is a rare ability.

This is an ability that needs the approval of the spirit wolf since it involves both of their life force which affects their life span. They both need to be in sync when performing this ability.

"Fine! Let's do it!" Clell gave his approval to Alpha Connor.

Marissa kept crying and feared for her mate's life since she could not feel any pulse at all from her mate. She could not bear the thought of losing her mate in her arms.

"Marissa, lay him down flat." Alpha Connor commanded his Beta's mate.

"What are you planning to do with Alpha?" Tears won't stop falling from Marissa's face as she asks Alpha Connor.

"Just do what I say!"

Marissa watches Alpha Connor perform a miracle. Her Alpha's wolf claws were out and looking sharply dark. She trusted her Alpha the most so she let Alpha Connor do what he intends to do.

Dolf's weak body was lying flat cold on the ground while his Alpha Connor started to penetrate his claws around his chest. Five dark claws from his right hand gently penetrating altogether around the surface of his heart.

Clell and Alpha Connor were both in trance and too focused in performing Life Share. Eyes of the Alpha Connor gleamed and became beastly. Marissa hoped that whatever her Alpha was doing would wake Dolf up. Few moments passed, Dolf woke up gasping for breath.

Alpha Connor immediately let his beta go as soon as Dolf gasped for breath.

Marissa immediately embraced him so tight.

"What's wrong babe? Why are you crying?" Dolf is clueless about what just happened to him.

"You scared me! You idiot! Don't do that to me again! Damn you!"

Marissa tearfully expressed to her mate like a baby.

Cries from Marissa could be heard while Dolf tries to comfort his mate who witnessed his almost demise.

Alpha Connor was relieved that he was able to save his beta but at what cost. Though, he tried to distract himself from the exhausting act that he just did. He immediately remembered his younger sister. "Carmina!" Alpha Connor panicked once again.

While everyone was panicking and trying to recuperate from the sudden explosion, the intruder was standing on top of a tree from a distance overviewing the chaos he created.

"I hope you take in my unforgettable introduction. That's what I call, 'Lasting first impression', a banging introduction!"
