“I think I’m alright,” Madisyn reassured, and they both left the area together.

The figure who had been hiding behind the pillar now stepped forward, watching Madisyn leave with tears forming in her eyes.

Abruptly, the water Susan was holding spilled, causing the man to yelp as the hot water scalded his hand.
