“If you decide to go to the police station, I’ll come with you,”

Madisyn said.

“Alright,” Glenn nodded.

The following day, after the morning rain, the sky cleared, and the fresh air made everyone who breathed it feel refreshed.

Madisyn and Glenn headed to the police station together.

After they completed their statements with the police, Glenn went to meet Rowan.

When they met, Glenn noticed that Rowan looked worn out, but he remained calm.

Rowan gave a bitter smile.

“Glenn, I’ve brought this on myself.

I should have realized that the password being the anniversary of Father’s death was a red flag, but I ignored it.

I wanted my family to have a good life too badly.

But it’s clear I’m not as capable as you.

I finally understood why Father left the company to you.”

Glenn replied coolly, “At least you confessed at the last moment, which shows you’re not completely foolish.

Father entrusted the company to me because I’d been studying business from a young age.

He offered you money because he knew you were better suited for the art world.

He was so perceptive; he understood us well.

His plans were meant to benefit us.

We managed well for years, but things started to unravel once we reconnected.”

Rowan seemed lost in thought.

“Yes, that’s what Father intended…”

Tears welled up at the corners of his eyes.

“I always felt Like Father favored you.

But he was actually kind to both of us.”

“Even if you don’t hold shares in the company, I’ve made sure you got an annual dividend.

This was also part of Father’s wish before he passed away.”

Rowan’s distress deepened when he heard this.

He struck himself on the head and lamented, “I’m so foolish! Glenn, I’ve been truly wrong!”

His life had been a living torment lately.

It wasn’t just the physical torment; the mental pressure was just as relentless and crushing.

He couldn’t understand how he could do those things.

Glenn observed Rowan and sighed.

He reflected on his own shortcomings as a big brother; perhaps if he had guided Rowan better, things might have turned out differently.

“Do you know who was behind Madisyn’s ‘death’?” Glenn asked.

“Isn’t it Jenna from the Chapman family?” Rowan questioned, puzzled by Glenn’s query.

“Yes,” Glenn confirmed.

“But she hadn’t been in touch with Madisyn for a long time, and she didn’t know where Madisyn Lives.

Why would she suddenly track her down and try to kill her?”

Rowan’s heart sank as he suddenly pieced something together from his brother’s words.

“No, that can’t be,” Rowan said, his face turning pale as he shook his head.

“It’s impossible!”

“You’ve figured it out, haven’t you? It’s Courtney,” Glenn said with a cold edge to his voice.

The thought of Courtney and Jenna plotting to murder Madisyn was too much to bear for Rowan.
