Just then, Elise furrowed her brows into a thin line and she frustratedly replied, “I’veoverlooked that.”

At that point, Alexander lifted his hand to ruffle her fluffy hair. “It’s alright. A stunning girl with aboyfriend wouldn’t need to lift a finger to seek revenge.” Stunning girl?! In all honesty, Elise felt thatAlexander was exaggerating. After all, once someone like her takes offense against a person, shewould definitely go after the other party’s life. Elated, both ofthem exchanged looks with each other before she reached out to push the door handle. “Stay rightthere!” Elise hollered at them. The tenderness in her eyes disappeared and she became quite wary.“Who are you?” She had clearly seen the gloating look that flashed across the duo’s faces. They had acalculative and greedy expression and almost instantly, she was on her guard.

The woman’s smile stiffened upon being interrupted and she scrutinized Elise for a short while beforespeaking up exasperatedly, “We’re the patient’s family members. Who are you anyway?”“Oh? You’re the family members?” Elise expressionlessly raised her left eyebrow as she started tostudy the duo carefully. The Sinclairs did not have many relatives but the familial ties were quite strongbetween family members, so Elise could remember each of them clearly. However, these two were theexceptions. From her memory, this duo had never appeared before. She noted their appearance andsaw that they were dressed quite ordinarily. Perhaps they’re very distant relatives that we hardly eversee.

Just as Elise was feeling quite perplexed, the middle-aged man, who had remained silent all this while,walked forward and stood protectively in front of the woman.
