Hang Lee was left speechless.

He had anticipated that Lin Yun might not be too familiar with the hotel, but he was shocked to realize that Lin Yun knew so little about it.

"Mr. Lin, what made you think about purchasing this hotel?" asked Hang Lee with a chuckle.

"Because this hotel was the place where my girlfriend confessed her love for me. I don't want anyone else to stay in our room, so I figured I would just buy the hotel," said Lin Yun, pausing for a moment before admitting this with a smile.

There was no point in hiding this.

"Um…" Hang Lee was shocked.

Indeed, he had imagined Lin Yun giving many reasons, but this one was wholly unexpected.

To buy a hotel because it was the location of a girlfriend's confession? The reason was too powerful! Who else could afford or dare to do such a thing but a capricious, wealthy person?

If Lin Yun was not bluffing or stupid, then he had to be a wealthy man!

Moreover, it didn't seem like this was a case of bluffing or stupidity. Thus...

Before he knew it, Hang Lee looked at Lin Yun with higher regard.

"I'd like to hear about it," responded Lin Yun, nodding slightly.

He was wholly relaxed about this discussion because he did not mind spending a little more money to purchase the hotel. This hotel wasn't up for sale, and he directly wanted to buy it, indicating his preparedness to shell out some extra money. However, things wouldn't go well if he didn't even listen to Hang Lee's brief.

"The hotel comprises seven floors, two hundred seventeen guest rooms, five conference rooms, a kitchen, and two restaurants… The renovation cost for each room ranges from around twenty to fifty thousand, the total renovation cost of the hotel is around eight million, plus other base investments related to licenses, merchandise, staff, which altogether amounts to ten million…" Hang Lee detailed every aspect, all the while, observing Lin Yun's face.

Hang Lee secretly nodded after he didn't replace signs of shock on Lin Yun's face.

It appeared that Lin Yun's interest in buying the hotel wasn't due to ignorance, but indeed reflected his financial capability.

In actuality, despite his calm demeanor, Lin Yun was quite astounded.

He had negotiated with clients several times before, but he had rarely encountered such a negotiation style.

Costs are generally considered confidential information in many industries.

Negotiations usually involve discussions about profits and potential. No matter the investment amount, without profits or potential, it is of no value.

Focus on costs generally seems like an attempt to hoodwink the other party. But Hang Lee didn't seem like someone who would try hoodwinking anyone.

Without interrupting Hang Lee, Lin Yun continued to listen quietly.

Lastly, the annual rent for this hotel, which covers an area of seven thousand five hundred square meters, is three million nine hundred thousand…" Hang Lee concluded with a smile.

"To be honest, I've discussed a lot of business deals, but very few involving costs. Mr. Lee, you're very upfront. It seems like you have something else in mind. Please feel free to speak it out," said Lin Yun with a slight smile.

This young man had discussed a lot of business deals? Lin Yun's words surprised Hang Lee again and made him regard Lin Yun highly again.

Which power was this young man a part of? He had discussed so many business deals at such a young age which indicated his special position in his power sphere.

Hang Lee started to make guesses in his mind.

He thought that Lin Yun was part of a significant power group because Lin Yun's deeds were very much like those who were part of one such group. He assumed that Lin Yun discussed big business deals, but he didn't realize that Lin Yun referred to his small factory's dealings and some small wholesalers he dealt with.

Turned out, this was just a misunderstanding.

"Mr. Lin, you are very insightful. So, I will speak forthrightly. I would like to know if you are planning to take over the hotel for management or buy the hotel property along with it?" asked Hang Lee, chuckling.

"Mr. Lee, what do you mean..." Lin Yun, intrigued, asked at the unexpected turn of events.

If possible, it seemed prudent to buy the entire building. Otherwise, if the owner of the building decided not to lease the rooms someday, the hotel business would collapse. And owning merely the operational rights of the hotel would mean not genuinely owning that room.

"I own this building…" admitted Hang Lee with a slight smile.

The building was Hang Lee's property?

This piece of information truly surprised Lin Yun.

This was entirely different from Hang Lee being the owner of the hotel.

Because of Shen City's sky-high real estate prices, this building of over seven thousand square meters in such a location was worth at least two hundred million dollars based on current market prices.

Lin Yun drummed his fingers on the table, his usual habit when deep in thought.

With just one or two hundred million dollars, he could manage to raise the amount in a few days.

But if it were two billion, it wouldn't be so easy.

His original plan was to get hold of the hotel first, then buy the building when he had sufficient funds.

"If I may, can I ask in which industry does Mr. Lin work?" Hang Lee asked.

"Currently, I am in the electronics business," said Lin Yun, after a moment's hesitation.

He didn't understand why Hang Lee was suddenly asking about his profession. However, there was no harm in answering it truthfully.

In the electronics business currently?

Hearing Lin Yun's words, Hang Lee was surprised. His statement hinted that Lin Yun dabbled in more than one industry and was currently dealing in electronics.

No wonder he was part of a significant power circle.

Hang Lee sighed internally.

Many big power circles dabble in a variety of industries because one industry cannot satisfy such large conglomerates.

However, this fact made Hang Lee slightly uncertain about his previous thoughts.

Initially, he wanted to know what business Lin Yun was in to explore potential cooperation opportunities.

But now, as Lin Yun dealt with various sectors, some might be profitable, while others might not. If Hang Lee aligned with him and ended up in an industry that wasn't profitable or faced problems, that wouldn't be good.
