Cosset You Forever
Chapter 1695 I Will Stand in Silence for You for Three Minutes.

Arvin's another aunt answered, "Because you are not as beautiful as Angela."

"Ha, ha, ha, "

Her words filled the living room with laugher.

Angela bit her lip and stepped closer to their relatives. Then, one by one, she started to greet the elders respectfully, "Grandma, mom, sister-in-law, aunt..."

With Arvin's help, she greeted everyone that was there in the living room.

After all, Angela had been raised in a good family. When she was quiet, she was as graceful as a swan. Although she was pregnant, she behaved elegantly and courteously. All the relatives had highly appreciated her gracefulness.

"Teresa, you are very lucky to have such a nice daughter-in-law. Why don't you ask her to stay here? It is not appropriate for her to live in her parents' home all the time. Don't you think so?" One of the aunts' words added a dash of sadness to the happy mood.

She was the daughter of Arvin's grandfather's younger brother. She often offended others with her inappropriate and yet straightforward behavior, although she didn't mean evil.

Angela immediately put down the fruit in her hand to defend her mother-in-law, "Aunt, actually it's my fault. It had been a long time since I visited my parents' home, so I went to stay with my parents for a few days. As you all know that Arvin is always concerned about my well-being. So now since I am pregnant, he came to live in my parents' home to accompany me. Grandma and mother had asked me to come back many times on the phone. Mom, I am sorry for the misunderstanding."

What Angela had said was just perfect, and she successfully redeemed Teresa's pride.

Arvin silently pulled Angela close to his arms, and kissed her hair.

He was sure that she still loved him after hearing what she had said.

If not, she would not be there with him to tell everyone that it was her fault. She tried her best to uphold his grandma and mother's face in the family.

Alas! 'How lovely and sweet of my Angela,' Arvin thought.

She pinched Arvin on the waist, but she was careful enough as to not let anyone else notice it. She pinched him a few times again.

Teresa waved to everyone and said, "Angela, you are being very nice, but Arvin is the one who should be blamed. You don't have to defend him. I'll be sure to teach him a good lesson this time, so that he will know how to cherish you in the future."

Arvin nodded in agreement.

"Oh, I see. Angela, please don't be angry anymore. It is bad for the baby. Don't you know?"

"As the director of the hospital, Arvin is more accustomed to being the focus of people's attention. Thus, he is not very good at chasing others. Don't be so hard on him."

"I've watched Arvin grow up into such a nice gentleman. I still remember, he helped your newly graduated cousin to replace a good job not too long ago. Maybe he made a mistake by accident. Angela, please forgive him, okay?"

Angela, "..."

Elderly women were often said to have had silver tongues.

When Angela was about to be convinced, she saw Nancy enter the hall.

"Nancy!" Angela cried.

Nancy greeted the elders, "Hello, Grandma, auntie, ..." As soon as she found out that Angela was back in J City, she couldn't wait to see her.

But she didn't expect to see so many people there, so she felt a little embarrassed.

"Nancy, you are here. Look at your belly! Your baby must be due soon." Teresa stood up and pulled Angela and Nancy towards her.

Before replying to Teresa, Nancy gave Angela a big hug. She then said, "Yes, aunt Teresa. He is due in about a month."

After spending time with the elders, Angela went upstairs with Nancy.

Stanley and Arvin knew that their wives had a lot of catching up to do, so they decided to give them time and went to see the groom, Aron.

At about eleven o'clock in the evening, Arvin opened the door to his bedroom. They were surprised to see what was going on.

"What are you doing?" they cried. Stanley was livid, as he saw Angela hug and kiss his wife. Then, she leaned her head on Nancy's stomach to feel the baby's movements.

Everyone could sense the intimacy of their friendship.

Angela, half-squatted on the ground, blinked and hugged Nancy around her waist. Suddenly she cried out in surprise, "Nancy, the baby is kicking me. He just kicked me." Angela felt ecstatic at the baby's movements.

When Stanley heard that, he immediately pulled Angela out of his way and leaned his head on Nancy's stomach to feel the baby.

Stanley had felt the movements before, but it was far from enough.

Angela stroked her stomach with a angry pout, "Hmm, Stanley, that's very rude of you! In a few more months, I'll be able to feel the movements of my baby."

Arvin put his arms around her shoulders and comforted, "Don't hug Nancy anymore."

Angela glanced at Arvin and said, "Don't hug her? Should I hug you instead?"

With a smile in his eyes, Arvin replied, "That's right. I'll add a chicken leg to your breakfast tomorrow morning."

Angela looked at him with a smile, "How about a course of bouilli and celery with that as well?"

"..." Arvin answered, "If that's what you want, then of course!"

"Not really! I meant for you!" Both of them knew that Arvin hated bouilli and celery. Angela was just playing with him.

Arvin sighed heavily and asked, "Okay. But if I eat that, will you promise me you won't go back to C country?"

Arvin would gladly eat the bouilli and celery just to make Angela happy. He thought, 'Even if she asked me to eat raw meat, I would say 'okay'. He was waiting for Angela's answer. "You wish!" However, Angela refused without hesitation.

Stanley walked towards them with Nancy in his arms. Then he patted Arvin on the shoulder and said, "Brother, I will stand in silence for you for three minutes."

Angela was not going to be as easy as Nancy, so Arvin had a long way to go to win Angela's forgiveness.

But to his relief, at least Angela had allowed Arvin to stay by her side.

Angela took Nancy's arm, leaned against her shoulder and said, "Nancy, take good care of yourself when I'm away. I'll come to see you again when the baby is born." Arvin intended to grasp every opportunity he could get to stop Angela from leaving, so he interrupted, "Don't worry. You can stay here until Nancy's baby is born." Arvin thought, 'If it were up to me, I would like to ask her to live here forever.'

Keeping Angela's happiness in mind, Nancy sighed, "I think it is a good idea, Angela. I want you to be happy. Stay and I believe Mr. Gu will treat you better."
