Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties -
Chapter 65
Damien stepped out from behind the tree, leaving the crossbows there. He knew he had somethings to address quickly before he handed them the crossbows. He wasn't sure what the reactions of the girls would be yet.
He looked at Laurette who was seated on the cold earth, Mira squatting by her, holding her ripped cloth across her chest to cover her big tits.
Damien had noticed that she didn't only have big ass but tits too. But why the hell didn't he notice all those before now?
It occured suddenly to him that that wasn't the time to get worried about things like that. He had something more urgent which was calling. The glares and gawks of the girls were too fiery to ignore. He was wondering why they hadn't made a feast of him yet. By now, someone like Claire should be barking at him, but he was disappointed.
He wasn't sure of what meaning to make of that. He didn't pretend to know the answer. He took two steps forward. The girls took steps back.
He gulped.
OH GOD, THIS IS AWKWARD.
He didn't know what to think. Were they scared of him or angry? They were glaring!!! That meant anger! But then they took steps back, that meant fear.
DAMIEN, YOU FOOL!"
He felt bad. He had no idea why he did or should. Probably it was just some random feelings which should be fed at that moment.
He didn't want to nurse random thoughts. That would only complicate things. He took gentle steps towards where Laurette was seated.
When he got there, Mira looked up at him in anger. Damien was scared that the girls now dread him. The thought was a nightmare to him. He didn't want them to dread him. If they did, living with them would be no fun!!! They would be acting against their wills. He didn't want to enslave them. He only wanted them to respect him!
He took in a deep sigh and squatted before Laurette, looking away from her sister. He reached out one of his hands slowly to Laurette.
Laurette had her eyes glued to the cold earth. Damien couldn't quite read her expression. He grabbed her arm and lifted her up.
Mira was struggling to cover her sister's exposed tits. Damien didn't look down. Instead, he removed his top and clothed Laurette with it.
He looked up at her face now. She looked lifeless. He was tempted to say,
IT WAS ONLY A BUG! WHY DOES SHE LOOK LIKE SHE HAD SEEN A GHOST.
He sighed.
I HOPE SHE DOESN'T HAVE A TRAUMA.
Damien slowly led her away from Mira and the rest to the foot of the tree from where he left.
He put his arm across her shoulder. The both of them were facing the girls.
His eyes strayed to Mira. He admired her. He expected her to hit him or something. He didn't understand why she was calm and collected. Damien didn't know whether or not it was a good sign or a terrible
one.
He tuned slowly to Laurette,
"Sorry."
He muttered. She looked pale. Darkness clouded the corners of her eyes. She was staring at her front, but she wasn't seeing. It seemed as though her eyes were just for fancy.
He pulled closer into the side of his arms to build a sort of warmth. He made her head rest on his shoulder while they stood. When he was certain that she was comfortable, he looked to the rest of the girls. "I'll divide you into two groups. You and your partner would work hand in hand."
If someone interrupt him at that moment, he sincerely would let it pass. But he wasn't sure if the girls had the guts to do that. He probably needed a mirror to look at his own face in the mirror, probably by then he would understand why the girls looked so pale.
"As soon as I finish the group division, each of you would walk to the back of this tree and pick your crossbow, then the game would begin."
He swallowed.
"I hope you will do a good job and make it fun enough."
If you ask him, he wasn't sure why he was avoiding addressing what happened to Laurette. Probably he couldn't replace the words. But he knew that he wouldn't be able to avoid it forever. He would have to face it sooner or later.
"Claire and Jada."
"Ayisha and Allison."
"Mira and Evelyn."
He watched Evelyn's face house a thin smile. She was always the easygoing one amongst them.
"Lisa and Tendzel."
He looked slowly at Laurette's head which was still on his shoulder.
"Me and Laurette."
He expected one of them to say something, yet they wouldn't.
OH GOD, THIS IS TIRING.
Really... should he feel bad because he wanted to create some sort of chain of communication here? Was it a terrible idea to have people take turns before talking?
"Since y'all are fine with this, Claire and Jada go and take your crossbows. There's a bag of arrow next to the Crossbows. Take as many as you want. There are small empty bags where you could collect the arrows and wear on your back."
Claire and Jada did as they were instructed. The rest of the girls took their turns also. When he realized that they were done,
"If there's nothing else, get to work."
He paused for a while.
"The rule of the game is simple. Work in pairs. The pair which have the highest numbers of preys wins!!! It's as simple as that."
"And you don't have to worry about how to get the preys, I've set baits for many herbivores, you'd see a bunch of them wandering around the woods."
"I should stress this, be very careful out there. I'll be gone away for a while. I'd like to take Laurette to the castle, she needs to rest."
Even though they didn't speak, he could see approval scribbled on their faces. He was glad that the stuffy and choking fog was beginning to lift.
Mira slowly put her hand up. Not only Damien was surprised but the girls also.
"Yes, Mira."
ISN'T THIS BETTER? JUST PUT UP YOUR HAND AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO GO THROUGH THAT...
"I won't forgive you for what you did to my sister."
He could tell that she meant it. A tear trailed down her cheek, as she sniffled. Damien's heart crumbled within him. He didn't know why he was feeling this way. Could it be that he was already getting connected emotionally to the girls!
That was strange and ridiculous. How could he be connected emotionally to nine girls at a time? Does he even want to? He only wanted to be objective with all of them, and if sexual accolades come by, he wouldn't shoo it off. Who in his right mind would?
"You don't have to. Let's just refrain from letting like this repeat itself. You could all see..."
He looked from her to the rest of the girls.
"Did it kill her to raise her hand? Learn from the fig tree."
His eyes grew tougher as he looked away. He turned to Laurette. He hugged her firmly into his chest, putting her arms around his neck, her legs around his thighs. He stood tall, balancing himself.
He instead of putting her on his back, he dealt a reverse card. Think all you would.
He turned to the girls who were stunned. He wrapped his arms around her back.
"Get to work. I'll join you soon. I'll be working for me and Laurette. If you don't want me to take her surfing, then you'd better get to work now and hunt as many games as possible before I join, because I won't spare you a chance."
With that said, he walked away from them, headed towards the direction of the castle.
"I want to come with you..."
Mira called, running to him. Damien stared at her for a while. She looked desperate.
"I won't take advantage of her. Just go already and stop being a cry baby."
He scoffed.
"I wished I had a twin brother."
He turned away from her. He was expecting her to follow him or argue further but she didn't. Realizing that she wouldn't be a trouble anymore, he increased his pace.
HEY, MEET ME AT THE CASTLE.
He telephated with the wolf.
