Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties -
Chapter 69
DID WE ARRIVE THERE YET?
Telepathy was the only option Damien could resort to. He wasn't even sure whether or not the wolf was around. He only tried his luck.
He had asked the question because he felt that the movement which tossed his body gently to and fro had halted. Of course that only meant one thing... or two?
- yes. but I'm not sure where next they are taking you. anything you want them to do? ~
He was glad that the wolf was always by his side. But he couldn't dwell on that feeling for long. He had something more urgent to pay attention to and deal carefully with.
LET'S WAIT FOR A WHILE AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE UP TO.
Damien wasn't sure of why to trust the Cannibals. Of course the system didn't tell him to hand himself to the Cannibals, it was his own preferred choice.
1
they've started moving -
The wolf filled him in. Damien could also feel it even though he couldn't see.
OKAY COOL.
Damien waited for a while. Not long after, he started to hear some sort of racket going on amongst the Cannibals.
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
He asked but there was no response. Neither from the wolf nor -- well, was there any other hope?
- i wonder who's worse, the girls or these fools -
The wolf eventually quelled the curiosity. Damien felt like lashing out insults at her, but he knew that he would be at disadvantage.
LIKE YOU ARE ANY BETTER.
He eased up the weight of the intended words. Then the movement resumed after a while. Suddenly the Cannibals stopped again. OH CRAP, ANOTHER BICKER?
Damien hated the fact that he had to depend on someone to get what he wanted. He hated to think that what happened to him and dominated his life before they Crash-landed on the island would happen again. He was scared to think of it. He hated to admit it.
The wolf didn't respond this time. Damien felt his body being lifted and placed on something hard. Not really hard, but very uncomfortable.
DER, DER, WHAT'S THIS?
He was very desperate. His voice edgy, mind restless.
- calm down, you are being placed on what they call a bed -
THE FUCK! A BED? THIS FEELS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. COUPLED WITH THE FACT THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY CLOTHES ON.
The wolf didn't respond.
YOU KNOW WHAT? TELL THEM TO GO TO THE GIRLS AND GET A FOAM BOARD PLEASE. I WON'T BE ABLE TO THINK ANYTHING IF I'M RESTLESS.
~ your luck, bruh. this will serve as a punishment for always talking down on me. I bet if you really know who I am, you'd be sucking my paws -
THIS BASTARD.
Damien could only complain. Inaudibly. Which made his case worse.
- be fast, what do you want them to do next? I have a few things to attend to. or do you think I'd seat here all day with you? -
At that moment, Damien felt like jumping on his feet and beating the hell out of this fool of a wolf!!! He was burning in rage. His anger burned so fiercely that he could feel his body system sizzling. But he wish. Of course he could nothing but wish!
Strangely enough, what the wolf meant by 'you wish' seemed to take its full form at that moment. How ironic!
YOU'RE A DEAD MEAT WHEN I OPEN MY EYES. I PROMISE YOU!!! YOU'LL BEG ME TO SPARE YOUR LIFE.
He wanted to yell at her even in his thoughts, but when the message got to the wolf, it was soft and calm. Even he had no idea.
- I'll take that as a no then -
The wolf dismissed then turned to the Cannibals. Damien heard the wolf say to the Cannibals,
"Your Lugal said that you should secure the village. None of his queens must come close. And none of you should disturb him. He's in for a long sleep."
WHEN DID I TELL YOU ALL THOSE?
Damien lashed out at her. She turned to him.
- isn't that the truth though? rest well bruh. after three days come look for me -
The wolf turned and walked away.
YOU WENCH!!! COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!!!
That was all he could. It was even so pathetic that no one could hear his voice but the wolf. How helpless!
Also, for him, it was very annoying and frustrating to admit that the wolf was right about the instructions she gave to the Cannibals.
The truth was that the system would be the one to take care of the remaining business, so he would be sleeping, lying in that position for three days till the duplicate process is completed. The duplicate process which he had no idea how it would work.
His life felt like a mess at that moment, or probably he was just thinking too much.
How would you feel if you were lying down in a position for three days, without moving? Your mind is active and every other sensitive organs. But your eyes, hands and legs have plotted against you.
He should feel worried that anything could go wrong but he didn't. He actually felt a sort of connection to the Cannibals which was stronger than what he felt to the girls. It was strange.
It could be because, the Cannibals were tied to him after he became their kings. Probably it was more spiritual that he thought. He had thought of it as random and useless. A title he claimed to gain wealth and make everyone who had once ridiculed him pay! Other things he didn't see coming have begin to grow on him.
He decided to put his mind to rest for a while and enjoy the gloom.
ONLY IF THESE BASTARDS DIDN'T USE THAT STRANGE PLANT. IT PROBABLY WOULD BE A DIFFERENT CASE. BUT NOW, I HAVE TO LAY IN THIS POSITION FOR THREE DAYS.
His back was itching. He wanted to move his body slightly but he couldn't. It seemed as though every ounce of strength in him had been drained.
He gave up on trying and allowed the gloom to consume him. To feast on his burly and beautiful frame, gobbling the king of the Cannibals up.
"What do you think they are doing to him?"
Evelyn asked no one in precise.
"I'm not sure, but I'm certain that they can't hurt him."
Ayisha gave her share.
"How can you be so sure?"
Jada tried to be reasonable.
"Those weird humanoids could seem creepy and disturbing but I can tell that they don't fiddle with loyalties. They'd preserve their loyalties with their lives."
Everyone was very stunned by Laurette's objectivity. It seemed as though the difficult situation had activated something in her.
"We can't keep standing here, let's go in."
Allison made a push. The girls were gathered at the fallen fences of the Cannibal's village. They had been very hesitant to make a way through, but now that someone had spoken up, all of they could dance to the tune. And if something bad happens after they do, it would be easier to blame it on the owner of the suggestion. Wouldn't it?
"That's a good idea. We can't keep being scared. We've got to do something other than stand."
Lisa fueled. It was really strange that some of the girls who used to act as the outcast of the group were suddenly replaceing their voices and becoming active.
It seemed as though Damien's prediction of a sudden change which would hit the girls and alter their behaviors was right all along.
"Let's do this. We got this."
Jada called and the rest of the girls followed Allison. They marched on the fallen fences as they advanced.
Suddenly, they saw the wolf running from the village towards the fence.
"The wolf."
Evelyn was about to run away.
"Wait."
Ayisha grabbed her arm. The wolf stopped as soon as she saw them. She slowly approached them.
"Let's stop making the poor wolf feel misunderstood all the time. We should get used to her by now. We shouldn't be scared when we see her anymore."
Allison gave the girls heads up, taking steps closer.
"Watch as I'll talk to her and she would take us to meet him."
She approached the wolf.
"Careful, Allison."
Evelyn who was hiding behind Ayisha called.
"Such a scared mommy girl."
Allison scorned Evelyn, taking a glance at her.
"Just that her eyes doesn't look like it used to."
Evelyn muttered her observation which obviously was ignored by the rest. What was the significance? The wolf was always in support of Damien. And Damien wouldn't send her to hurt them?
Allison got to the wolf and pushed her frame down slowly till a stoop was achieved.
"Hey beautiful girl, where is Damien? Could you take us to him please?"
She got swept away by how beautiful the face of the wolf looked up close.
"Oh my goodness, you're so breathtaking."
Reaching her hand to touch Der's head, the wolf snapped at her and she fell screaming.
The wolf seized Allison's left shoe in her mouth and shook it ruthlessly like she would rip off Allison's leg.
"Allison!!!"
While some girls called, some ran away. The one who led the way into the woods was Jada.
Luckily, Allison climbed to her feet, Mira reaching her hand out to help her steady while the wolf made a piece of her shoe.
"Come."
Mira pulled and they joined the rest, running like wild urchins through the woods in the direction of the castle.
Do not ask, they weren't a group at this point... every one took the direction her instinct leased.
