"Damn, that was so close!"

He looked back at the ocean, his eyes travelling across it to the mountain which now looked like a mound of earth from distance.

The fresh memory of how he got the scorpion off his chest sent chills down his spines.

The scorpion had held strongly unto his cloth with its sharp feet. At the bid to pull it off his chest, he had lost his balance on the surfboard, and into the water he'd fallen. "That was really strange."

He turned slowly away from the ocean. He shook his head slowly. He couldn't believe that the scorpion had melted into bubbles immediately it had contact with the ocean water.

"Maybe because it's magical? Maybe because the scorpion is a magical creature?"

He chuckled wryly at the thought.

"Magical my foot. This isn't some fantasy novel."

At the dismissal, he couldn't get a hold of the right thought to nurse.

"Whatever."

He decided to dump the thought then.

"A flying scorpion that sounds like a cricket?"

He shrugged at the disturbing realization. He couldn't place his hands on it.

"How am I supposed to kill those bastards? Lead all of them to the ocean? Would they willingly follow me?"

He shook his head.

"Probably there would be a skill or feature which could help me get rid of them?"

He brought out the system window and started scrolling through. Suddenly, he stopped. He put one of his fingers to his mouth, catching the nail between the upper and lower row of teeth.

"How about I complete the task of the civilization first? By then, I would have more than enough skills at my disposal."

He shook his head in argument. He continued scrolling through the system skills. He couldn't replace the one which would be helpful.

"I can't use the superpower. What would it do? Break the Mountain into piece, or sweep the the scorpions into a heap and hurl them away?"

He chuckled in scorn. Suddenly, the joke took a stray turn in his head. The smiley face grew curious and determined.

"Could that work? Oh my God, it should!"

For some reason, he was really jumpy. He started to hurry up the path. He was looking for something which would help bring his thoughts and ideas to life. "The waterfall. Yes, the waterfall!!!"

He activated the speed skill and zoom, he was off. Like a hasty wind returning to the north, he cut corners smoothly and effortlessly. He arrived at the waterfall. "How am I supposed to go about this?"

He stood at the end of the wood, close enough to the stones and cutouts of rocks displaced around, at the bank of the water.

"Okay, Damien, let's do this. We got this."

He promised himself and clicked on the superpower. Unlike before, he now had enough minutes to use, and it would be refilled soon enough too.

He put his palms together. Then he brought them up slowly, separating them with a need. He was trying to concentrate the power into his palms to make a ball of currents or something.

He used all his human strength to get the current concentrated but grunted in displeasure when it came to nothing.

"Maybe I'm not taking the right position."

He decided to correct his stance. That could probably be the problem huh?

After taking a new position, he resumed the concentration process. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get the result he so much anticipated.

Suddenly, he felt heat sizzling his palms and slowly a thread of blue and white currents appeared in his palm.

"Oh, fuck yes..."

He was so excited and nervous. But the current forming didn't stay even for a moment... it dwindled and died out. "Arggghhhhh!!!"

Damien got so enraged that he began to kick heavily at anything that came his way.

He growled deeply and dropped on his knees, emptying his rage in his fist with which he punched the earth. At the forceful contact, a big hole, thrice the size of his fist was left in the earth.

At that, his rage powered down and he was back to his normal self. Then did he realize what he had just done.

Suddenly, he heard chatters coming from behind him... then approaching footsteps.

"Oh shit!!"

He wanted to run away but then remembered that he had a better option. He activated the invisible gait, remaining in that spot.

"I thought I saw a Cannibal kneeling there just now."

A feminine voice hit him. He wasn't interested in whose voice that was. He didn't turn, neither did he compromise on the stance he was holding. "You must the seeing things."

Another one responded.

"No, I wasn't. See this... a big hole in the earth. Who do you think did that?"

The initiator of the discussion had gotten to Damien. She was so close to him that Damien could feel her gown hitting against his nape.

A funny idea dropped in his mind. He decided to feed it. He pushed his head back slowly till his face was caught in between her gown.

He looked up, his head in her gown, his eyes widened and he tossed his head out.

"Shit, she isn't wearing a thong!!!"

He wanted to look up at who that was, but she had walked through him and was headed to catch up with the rest of the girls.

From the back, she looked like Mira, but then she walked like Laurette. He shook his head. He didn't have to strain his vision. It was a matter of time before they show their faces.

Damien stood up slowly as he watched the girls take their clothes off one after the other. He gulped hungrily.

No matter how mad and aloof he felt, his desire for sexual fantasies was always burning. But this time, he could only watch! That should be soothing too huh?

Standing there and watching their back views, he wasn't getting enough.

"What are they doing together?"

He muttered as he drew closer to them. Point in time, Evelyn turned towards his direction, making a joke about Mira.

His eyes fell on her nipples. He remembered the taste... he zoomed towards her. He already had a boner. He had reached out his hand hungrily to grab her titties when he recalled that he wish!

He was really tempted to bring himself back to visibility before their eyes. The worst that would happen was that few of them might faint. And after all, it was just a bet he had with himself. He only wanted to steer clear of the distraction of the girls and get everything he needed done.

And the price he had to pay was no-sex!

He wanted to be angry but he would only be a fool. He looked away from Evelyn to the far end of the water to the left. There was Claire and Ayisha.

"Are they now a pair?"

Damien muttered. He shook his head. It seemed as though he had an answer to his own question.

"I know Ayisha. She would do anything to get the answer she wants. Even if it means being friends with a sassy and indifferent girl."

He took a pause.

"But what does she want? Info about my whereabouts? If Claire had discovered something new about the Cannibal watching over the tree?"

He couldn't quite place it.

"What's the point of standing here? I will only end up torturing myself. Seeing it is not enough. I miss sex! The fuck!!!"

He grunted in displeasure. He began to walk off.

"Public announcement!!!"

There came a strong, assertive but feminine voice which Damien couldn't ignore. Even before he could turn, he already knew who the owner of the voice was.

The girls turned one after the other to Ayisha. They were all naked.

"We'll be dividing ourselves into two groups!"

Ayisha continued.

"What is this about?"

Allison had attacked Ayisha. Ayisha took her in a glance, then looked away as though she didn't hear a thing.

"And it'll go this way. Those who believe that our saviour and lover is dead, should stay there. While those who believe that there's more to this should come over here to me and the sassy Claire." Claire glared at her for a while, but since Ayisha wasn't looking, the former got wearied.

"Who told you that you could break us into groups... what do you think this partition would do? Wouldn't it cause us more harm than good? We have to stay together, fight together, come to a conclusion in orde to survive on this island."

Allison paused for a second. She went again, now loudly,

"Who the fuck are you to make the --"

"I believe he is dead!"

Jada stepped forward, cutting Allison short. Allison looked bewildered. She probably hate being cut short.

"We all saw it for ourselves."

Tendzel joined Jada.

"We mourned him already. I thought we already moved on."

Lisa joined them. Making there of the group.

"Damien, sorry."

Evelyn muttered, joining the three. Laurette walked past the four to join Ayisha and Claire.

"Huh?"

Claire's eyes widened.

"Ayisha, maybe say it gain... I don't think she --"

"Shut the fuck up bitch, I'm not here for you."

Laurette snapped at Claire who sneered. But the latter was really stunned.

"I'll stand as an intermediate."

Mira announced.

"Pick a side!"

Jada snapped at her.

"No! I refuse to."

Mira staked her claim. Ayisha looked away from her to Allison. She was the only one left, aside Mira and her nuance.

"We'll cook, eat, survive, and live together. But we have different opinions. While the rest of you are with no aim, our group would not leave until we have sorted this out. Until we see Damien again or retrieve his body."

They all knew what Ayisha meant by "this".

"Everybody get back to what you were doing."

Ayisha dismissed and pulled Claire with her to the corner they used to be.

Damien stood there watching in awe. He was sure that it was a matter of time before a fight starts.
