Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties -
Chapter 88
"Forgive us, Lugal for getting on your nerves. We shall pay with our lives if you so want it."
The head Cannibal swore. All the Cannibals were bowing before him, on their knees, at the foot of the baobab tree.
"You do too much. If you pay with your lives, where does that leave me? What does that make me?"
Damien hated the thought of bossing then around. He knew what that felt like. He had been subjected to such cruelty all his life. He didn't want someone else to go through it.
But then again, he wouldn't forget that he wasn't dealing with people who had the same mind as his. He was dealing with a different humanoid specie. He knew that too well, and had decided to take that into cognizance.
While he tried not to be too tough on them, he would fancy the option of giving them the luxury of doubts at some specific points in time.
"Get on your feet."
He had wasted enough time on his thoughts. The Cannibals did as they were told.
"Who amongst you bear the sac containing the clothes?"
The Cannibal who had the sac handed it over. He called at the Cannibal who used to watch the Boabab tree.
"Open it."
The Cannibal did as instructed, and brought out of one the clothes which looked like a long tunic top, with a brief detail of a robe.
"This is called a cloth."
The Cannibal had both sleeves of the cloth apart to show the length and breadth of the cloth as the Lugal explained further.
"We humans put them on to resist cold and stay healthy."
STAY HEALTHY?
He wasn't sure if that made any sense. As far as he could see, what other best definition of healthiness could he give other than the Cannibals themselves? Even though they don't put on clothes, yet he'd never seen any of them sick. For the first time in the planning, his heart wavered. Caught between whether or not it was necessary to clothe them.
WHATEVER.
He needed to complete the task given by the system. Also, he wanted to give the Cannibals what they never had before. That even when he leaves the Island, they would always remember him for good! Of course the day will come! The day to leave the island. Wasn't that what he has been preparing for all his life? And damn it, there were a lot of plans assembled in his mind to be carried out!
"As you can see, I have a trouser on. My top... I'm not sure where it is at the moment."
He paused.
"Now watch closely. Cos after I'm done, you'll do exactly what I've done."
He slowly removed his trousers. Then his pants. He was stark naked. Like the Cannibals.
The Cannibals dropped face down on the earth when he did that.
"Rise up, fools. This is not the time for that. Fuck the formalities."
He called but they didn't want to.
"Do you really want me to kick you to death?"
He threatened and one after the other, the Cannibals got up on their feet. Yet they were reluctant to look down his body, neither could they look at his face. Most of them stared blankly at his chest. He was getting burlier by the day!
"Now watch!"
He slowly put on the tunic-like robe.
"Give one to each of them... each of you who gets one should put it on at once."
He ordered. He had discovered that if he wanted them to get things done quickly, he had to be very precise and particular. The Cannibals were not easily amused. Talk more of convinced. He was lucky to be regarded as their Lugal. Else --
"Put on, don't sniff, fool. You aren't a dog for fuck's sake!"
He had snapped at one of the Cannibals who has fisted the cloth in his hand sniffing as though it was some --
"Tell me, how do you feel?"
Really, he didn't know what to expect from them. He had tried all he could. He hoped that they would appreciate his four hours effort, else he might beat them to pulp! "Warmth on my skin..."
"Itches..."
"Light..."
One of the Cannibals took two steps forward,
"It will be hard to walk."
Damien wanted to cackle but he denied himself.
"For all the complaints... you'll get used to if you wear it regularly. Which you must!"
Something dropped in his mind suddenly.
"Whoever wears this and makes it a part of him, I hereby declare him as BIABU FILLER."
REALLY, DAMIEN? BAIBU? BRUH WHAT THE FUCK IS EVEN THAT?
Now he was really tempted to laugh at how strange he was.
WHO KNOWS THAT THINKING OF A NAME FOR SOMETHING COULD BE SO TOUGH?!
ADAM MUST HAVE BEEN REALLY OUT OF IT.
When next he observed the Cannibals, he noticed that they were beginning to like it. He could see it in their faces.
They were about ---
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, --- the fuck ten?"
WOW? WHY DIDN'T I KNOW THAT THEY ARE THIS MANY?! 39!
He knew what that meant. He would have to make ten more clothes for the remaining. He knew what stress would come with that.
He wasn't lazy of course. He just wanted to spend his time of important things. They were a lot to do.
"For those of you who are yet to get one, you'd get soon enough. I should ask you to pay for my hard work."
Then he remembered that he was already extorting them of their bars of gold. There was still more to do about that. He couldn't wait to complete this civilization. It would open a chain of opportunities for him. "That should be all for the day. I still have enough to do."
"To further be declared as the BAIBU FILLERS, you must bathe everyday and put on your clothes! Is that very clear?"
The Cannibals didn't reply.
"Bruh, if I say is it clear, you say yes!"
"Is that Clear!"
"Yaiss!!"
They chorused.
WHATEVER. WHAT MATTERS IS SAYING IT.
"You can return home. I'll be gone for a while. I have several things to do. Uhmm --"
Something else dropped on his mind.
"I almost forgot."
"When I return, I'll divide you into batches or groups."
"While the sole work of some of you would be to guide this island at its every breadth, some would go for hunting. While some watch over your territory, some would be stationed at reasonable distances and watch over my queens. You'll always be there to save them in case they are being attacked because I'd be dead busy!"
"Dead?"
One of the Cannibals seemed stunned calling that word.
"I don't mean it that. And never cut me short again!"
He warned and the Cannibal bowed.
He tried to think if he was missing out any other point.
"Any other thing that I forgot to add, I'll include it when I return to you. For the time being, I would live amongst you!"
The Cannibals suddenly began to jump around in a dance formation, making weird noises of jubilation.
Damien couldn't hold in the laugh anymore. He let it out.
"I'm going. Get going. Dance home."
And for real, they did exactly that. They danced their way to the territory. He watched as they go. He felt like a proud father. Yes! Father of Cannibals?
Then he looked away from them to a big oak tree in distance. There were the three girls.
He knew they were watching all along. So he had decided to give them something to worry about. Could you really hide something from the king of the jungle?
Sure enough that they didn't miss any detail of everything that happened with the Cannibals, he smirked then zoomed away. In another direction.
"Come come with me... the Cannibals are leaving. We need just one of them. Let's hurry before they go out of sight."
They ran after the Cannibals, keeping a close proximity.
Like Ayisha had said, they needed just one of them. Luck be on their side!
