Chapter 92: the noise
"Tara are you ok? What is that noise?" Asked Jerry on the other end. I dropped the phone open Jerry can still hear the things happening. Jerry's POV
The noise is so loud from the other end. It is definitely sound of truck honking before a collision. Now it's the sound of concerned passers by. Tara is hurt. From the sound of it she is hurt. I have to get there and see her. I stop whatever I'm doing and think where could Tara be by now. I tried to get get there the fastest I could but the traffic is stopping me. It get even worst because of the accident. I waited for a call back maybe there will be a concerned citizen that will inform me of Tara's location.
Just when Im rushing and this shitty traffic fucked me up. I can't help but curse in the air.
"Bullshit! Just move I need to go." I uttered talking to the air.
Im so upset Tara might die and I ignored her so much. I hate myself for not caring and it might be too late. I owe her so much. I cried unknowingly. I feel like shit. I tried calling Drake maybe he is closer and can get to Tara faster. He answered instantly.
"Yes somebody called me already. Im on my way." Answered Drake. His voice is panicky but still compose. That's a good thing that Drake is still in her "person to call in case of emergency", coz if that would be me I'm sure I will be stuck somewhere far. I can't help her at all. It took me 2 hours before I get there. Drake sent me the adress of the hospital. She is at PCGH. When I get there 2 men looking down so problematic and so down welcomed me. Their face can't be painted. I approach them and Drake face me right away.
"Man what happened? Where is she?" I asked so worried of Tara. I wanna know right away if she's ok.
"She's inside." Drake answered. I rushed in. Tara with head bandage, neck brace and with eyes close is in the bed. I can't help but cry to see that pitiful situation she's in. I shook her but she's unresponsive. Drake and Andrei came to stop me.
"Let her sleep. She needs rest." Don't worry she will be ok. The Doctor said it's nothing serious."
"I was talking to her before the accident. It's my fault she should be talking to me while driving." I expressed my guilt to Drake. Im tearing up not concerned of my image.
"It's not your fault, she's stuck in a traffic she can't really move, the truck loses control on the other side and swerved a lot of cars not only hers. Good thing the impact is not so much. We just need to keep her on the brace to make sure her neck is not broken. She was responsive earlier. She was just in shock but she will be ok... For now let her rest. You can talk to her in the morning.000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
