Caroline generously said, "Just change your tune in front of my mom. She's still furious.”

Saying so, she walked outside, the servant trailing behind her.

As they walked, the servant asked, "If I may ask, what happened between Mr. Clark and Celine last night? It angered the madam, who drove Celine out, and Mr. Clark was taken to the hospital. Did Celine hurt Mr. Clark?"

The servant had not been working at the Fisher household for a long time, having started after Belinda became the head of the family. If Celine had harmed Hunter, it was certain the Madam would be furious. "My mom doesn't want you to know about these things. Don't ask. Knowing too much won't do you any good. I'm doing this for your own good."

She smiled awkwardly and replied, "Thank you for the warning. Please go for your run. I'll head to the kitchen to check on breakfast. I assure you that once you're back from the run, you'll have a hot breakfast waiting for you.

She stopped at the door, watching Caroline walk away, before turning back inside.

Caroline warmed up in the yard before jogging a couple of laps and headed toward the main entrance.

The gate was still locked.

Caroline had the key and unlocked it.

The sound of the gate opening startled Celine, who had been resting in a corner.

She lifted her head and saw the gate open. Immediately, she struggled to stand up. Whether it was from exhaustion or too many clothes, she found it hard to stand and stumbled a few steps, falling to the ground.

She landed at Caroline's feet as if kowtowing.

Caroline stopped and looked down at Celine.

Struggling to sit up, Celine's face paled when she saw it was Caroline. The next moment, Celine wished she could replace a hole to bury herself in it.

Apart from a few potted plants, there was no place to hide at the entrance, let alone a hole to crawl into.

Caroline casually observed Celine's panic.

Caroline remembered when she had just returned to the Fisher family, how Celine used to watch her mishaps with amusement, being the one to orchestrate them.

Caroline did not want the Fisher family to know about her personal accomplishments. Initially, she pretended to be ignorant, performing the act of a country bumpkin in the city, fooling everyone into thinking she was a clueless mess.

"No need to look for a hole. There's none here."

Caroline said calmly, "I don't have time to watch your downfall either."

With that, Caroline walked away nonchalantly and soon started jogging.

As Celine watched her leave, she wanted to curse her, but as soon as she opened her mouth, her voice was extremely hoarse and her throat dry. Her throat felt very sore, it could have been damaged by all the crying she had done the night before.

Perhaps she caught a cold.

After all, she spent the night outside, where the winds were strong and the temperature was low. She was freezing the whole night.

Luckily for her, her clothes were also thrown out. She wore many layers and wrapped her legs in her clothes. She was able to fight through the freezing night thanks to that.

Celine glared hatefully at Caroline's shrinking silhouette.

She crouched back down in the corner near the gate and covered her legs in a piece of clothing. Then, she tearfully looked at Fisher Manor.

She felt unimaginable pain as she recalled the events last night.

Did Mr. Queen know what happened between her and Hunter?

He must have known.

At this moment, Celine finally realized that she and Hayden were not meant to be.

Back when she was still the heiress of the Fisher family, she commanded attention no matter where she went. Even so, Hayden never even gave her a good look, let alone acknowledge her.

It was just her being unrequitedly in love with Hayden while cognizant that she had no chance with Hayden.
