Curse For Alpha: Betrayed Luna -
Bagian 20
It had been a week since Audrey had seen Aldrick come to their house again. She wondered if it might be so difficult for him to get the medicinal ingredients Audrey needed? "There's no way he'd have trouble, the clan is his own," Audrey muttered as she brewed tea.
Since Alfan went to school she rarely had friends here because she didn't really socialize outside either. She lives in a housing estate whose prices are also indifferent, currently she is alone and has no friends so she is focusing on making some food so as not to die of boredom.
Her work for today was finished a few minutes ago so Audrey could only replace other ways to get busy. Audrey was not one to sit around or relax, she was a productive woman even back when she was Luna.
"When is she coming? I need those medicines within three days." Audrey sighed.
Her hands were busy making dough because she wanted to make sponge cake since Alfan had been so fond of that kind of food these days. She increasingly wanted to bring Alfan closer to a more realistic human life, so that her son could adapt well and would have no trouble facing anything in the future even though later he might become the heir in the wolf clan but still this would be his birthplace.
Audrey had nothing more to say but to think about things and her life. Right now she felt calmer because she could ask for help even though she did not know whether Aldrick would come or not to deliver her order. "Luna..."
Audrey turned her head to the right and was surprised to see Aldrick coming not only alone. Yes, he was not alone, he came with two people who helped him hold the box. They saluted her as Aldrick walked over, until she sighed softly. "Why did you just come? I've been waiting since two days ago, wondering why it took so long to deliver the medicinal ingredients I needed." Audrey said making Aldrick raise his eyebrows.
"You were just thinking about those medicinal ingredients?"
"Of course, I'm also not that good at thinking about what happened to you because I know that you're fine. Surely nothing will happen to you just because you went looking for the medicine I asked for. Besides, it wasn't you alone who went looking for it but the men, you must be relaxing in the palace," her reply made Aldrick smile softly.
He liked it when Audrey started talking to him more and more. It showed that this woman was no longer thinking about the crimes and mistakes she had made in the past. Although he did not really know Audrey's demeanor and how she usually did things or said things, but he was quite happy because it seemed from Audrey's face that the woman was no longer bothered by his presence.
"Take it, all of this was prepared by the men and soldiers who fought with you back then. When I told them that you were alive, they were so happy that they didn't stop searching for days. They hoped that you would come back soon and join us again. Join them and become someone they serve. From that I consider that you are even more deserving of being the supreme leader than I who has already done something stupid." Aldrick said making Audrey sigh and examine the ingredients of the medicine.
"It's hard for me to go back so just tell them that I'm fine and I'm happy if they are too. Alfan is already attending school here and I can't just drop him. He should be able to finish here for the next 24 years or so. That's a very small amount of time for a werewolf living in a clan, not a long time but it means a lot to Alfan and I can't just pull him out of school. He must still be able to survive in the human world because I gave birth and raised him here. Although the consort is different but still my son is used to living here than there so let him grow up first then maybe I will come there to bring him to introduce him to his true identity."
Aldrick smiled softly, staring at Audrey's face without missing a beat. "Until then, will you forgive me?"
"It depends, maybe we're still a couple but it's best not to get too close like before and stay as you were when you still had Emely in your heart. I can't do anything more for now or even later so if we're just husband and wife and that's enough for peace surely you wouldn't mind doing it without forcing me too much, right? I'll help you with whatever you need as long as it's for clan affairs but I can't get too close or do activities that a husband and wife would normally do." Aldrick smiled softly. "Have you forgiven me now?"
"I don't think so, I'm just grateful that you bothered to help me replace these materials. These kinds of materials are very hard to replace and don't even exist in the human world so I asked you for help. I've inconvenienced you so I'll cook a meal that you like tonight for you to eat."
Audrey was a woman who had a big heart and was not vindictive. At least that's what Aldrick has seen so far, Audrey is a woman who has wisdom and strong affection with all kinds of positive people that makes anyone will definitely like her. Audrey never forced him to do anything that he had done wrong in the past. This woman is even more relaxed and keeps all her pain to herself, even this woman is able to face it now who comes shamelessly and apologizes like a person who has no guilt.
But Aldrick is already grateful enough just for what Audrey gave and did. This woman was still willing to accept and appreciate him regardless of him saying that he only respected her or the like, Aldrick was already quite happy with that and felt better after he gained a bit of trust that could be seen from the look on Audrey's face as she looked at him.

"You guys can go first and I'll call you later if there's anything that can be done." Aldrick said commanding the two omegas he had brought.
The two women bowed and saluted very politely before finally walking away and disappearing from their sight. Meanwhile Audrey was already staring at Aldrick's face with a serious look. "You really brought two servants for me? Didn't you say one was enough yesterday?"
"If it can be two, why does it have to be one? I'm giving you two so that you can live better and they can also cook and help you clean the house. I talked to the clan's medical expert and he told me that the medicines you asked me to replace are for internal medicine. You're sick but hiding it, right? You seem to be fine but you actually don't have as much energy as you said before. So you don't need to trouble yourself too much and just focus on your recovery and rest." Aldrick's lengthy speech made Audrey sigh. "I need a lot of time to restore all my energy so that I can make you heal easily too. You also need to restore your energy so that you can make progress and change from the past. The clan needs it for construction and the like, not to mention I don't know how long I'll be able to block outside attacks with my abilities that I had left behind and shield the clan from those outside attacks.
"It's possible that there will be an attack coming and that attack is bigger than my ability, I don't know myself. What I hope is that no mistakes or horrible things happen or I will feel very guilty. You came here after me and I don't want to accept you so I just want you to get well soon so you can restore all your strength and abilities."
Aldrick did not say anything especially when he saw Audrey who was already sorting and arranging the medicinal ingredients on an iron pan. It looked like the woman was going to dry the ingredients further or even make something necessary in the process of treatment or medicine making.
Aldrick did not know and had never studied about medicinal techniques so he could only stand by and watch. Audrey's last words he also did not really answer and listen to because he wanted to see how the process of making medicine where to know one day he would make medicine for this woman too.
"Until now, did Alfan not know at all about him being a werewolf and the heir of a clan?" Unable to remain silent, Aldrick asked with a serious look on his face.

"Not yet, I purposely didn't tell him because it would only be risky and cause something I don't like. When she grows up maybe I'll tell her but it all depends on how things go. Maybe sooner or later you'll get a new woman too so I don't need to bother explaining too much to her. If you have a new woman and that woman can bear children to use her as the next leader, I won't do it either because it would be much better if Alfan doesn't know who she is.
"But if you don't do it and still expect hope as the only heir I can only do that later when he has entered adulthood. I realize that if I'm selfish there will only be problems so rather than him living in misery and being carried around, it would be much better if Alfan chose his own life. Living the life that he should live and that will happen naturally because it is his nature. I can't stand in the way for too long if fate has taken him there from the start," she said making Aldrick smile softly and nod.
He promised that he would never get close to any woman in order to retrieve and bring back the woman and her child back home. He also has no intention of getting with anyone for fear of being betrayed. Unlike Audrey who really is his eternal partner so they will still come back no matter what.
Besides, after realizing that Emely only used him as a tool and material to destroy his clan, Aldrick had no intention of getting close to any woman and decided to be himself and wait until when this woman would want to be with and return to him again.
"Won't she be hungry if she takes too long to get home? What time will school end?"
"I have prepared lunch every day and at school there will also be snacks and treats or keep his mind and weight full and calm. She won't go hungry or even if she does there's a cafeteria there to buy from and I'm sure I'll buy healthy snacks or food. I gave her enough pocket money, you don't have to worry about anything unnecessary."
While using tongs, Audrey picked up some rare flower powder that was in one of the containers. She put them into the oven and turned on a low temperature to make all the ingredients dry and bake. The sunlight and the oven light were also not so different in the results, the important thing was that the ingredients were dry, she also wanted to treat herself immediately because while walking she already felt uncomfortable. If she left it there would be a more severe disease and that was not something Audrey wanted.
"If you don't get any good or cure, how about I call a healer? I know that you also understand medicine and all sorts of things related to medicine but you still need a nurse or to make sure you are okay. I can't rest easy if you remain sick to the point of being unable to do anything." Aldrick said as he stared at her, deliberately doing all that to keep Audrey quiet.
"I am a healer, you know and have said so before. But I don't need a healer or a doctor, my body of medicine is already more and higher than theirs. I know how I am so you don't have to worry about anything, this treatment can be done slowly instead of in an instant so I'm unlikely to do anything forbidden by parents just to get some rest. Moving around is much healthier for me, you know that I've always been a productive person and I don't want to be idle like someone who is unable to do anything."
Aldrick decided to keep quiet, he agreed with Audrey's words and decided not to say much as he would be the one who would get the stares and harsh words.
Aldrick didn't want this closeness and familiarity to become awkward again if he made a scene.
