Shelly was completely panicked! Lachlan sneered and reached out topull her, "Miss Parry, move aside!"

Shelly shuddered and struggled desperately, blocking the door with allher might. "Mr. Willis, it's not my fault! The bug isn't mine; you can'taccuse me of something I didn't do!"

She leaned against the door with her body and spoke in a slightlytearful voice.

"It doesn't matter what you say to me! Let Ms. Lowe decide if the bug isyours," Lachlan said expressionlessly.

As he spoke, he tried to pull Shelly away again.

Shelly grabbed onto Lachlan’s hands tightly and then suddenly kneltdown in front of him with a thud.

"Mr. Willis, please don't tell Ms. Lowe! Please!" she begged desperately."As long as you keep quiet about this, I'll promise you anything!"

As she spoke these words seductively while grabbing at Lachlan's handtowards her chest area, her eyes blinked coquettishly at him full ofcharm.

Lachlan sneered and directly threw off Shelly's hand, "Get lost! Ms.Lowe is my wife. I've tasted delicacies from all over the world; whywould I drink dirty water?"

Upon hearing this remark from Lachlan, a flash of resentment crossedShelly's eyes.

Dirty water? Was she really that disgusting? And what was hepretending for? It was not like anything happened between him andMiranda.

How could Miranda let him touch her?

But even though she thought this, she didn't dare say it out loud.

"Mr. Willis, please, I beg of you, don't tell the CEO! This bug isn't mine, Iswear!" Shelly said tearfully.

Lachlan stared at her for a moment before asking, "Then tell me,besides you, who else could have touched your clothes?"

From Shelly's initial reaction to seeing the bug, it seemed like she reallydidn't know anything about it.

There was a traitor among them!

Upon hearing this news, Shelly thought for a moment before saying,"Rex Hussain! He's been Ms. Lowe's dedicated driver and bodyguard allalong. As Ms. Lowe's bodyguard, he has to ensure her safety so when Igo out with Ms. Lowe to discuss business matters he always checks mypersonal belongings too."

"He had the opportunity to tamper with my clothes!"

"That driver?” Lachlan narrowed his eyes and smirked.

The next second he held onto the bug and opened the office dooragain.

Shelly was startled once again upon seeing this and clung ontoLachlan's leg as she pleaded, "Mr. Willis, what are you going to do?Please don't say anything!"

"Do you think it's beneficial for you to keep this a secret? If you comeclean now and let Ms. Lowe investigate, it'll benefit you too. Otherwise,one day you'll end up dead because of this. Who knows, if it blows upin the future, Rex might even use you as a scapegoat!" Lachlan saidcoldly.

Upon hearing this, Shelly blinked and thought about what Lachlan hadsaid - he had a point.

"Mr. Willis, please speak up for me! You have to tell Ms. Lowe that I'minnocent! I'm also a victim!" Shelly pleaded.

"As long as you're truly innocent, Ms. Lowe won't implicate you,"Lachlan replied calmly.

He then leaned down and grabbed Shelly's chin while saying, "By theway, remember to be polite to me from now on. Because I can exposeall your dirty secrets! Black lace with an open crotch - Miss Parry, you'requite bold, aren't you?"

Shelly was stunned by his words before her face turned red withembarrassment and fear - did he really know everything?

After wiping away her tears, she stood up from the ground and quicklyfollowed him out.

Lachlan put the bug into his pocket before heading towards the CEO'soffice where he saw someone standing guard outside - Rex!

The former driver who was now Miranda's bodyguard was playing withhis phone when he noticed someone approaching him so he quicklyput it away in his pocket.

Lachlan squinted, channeling a strand of dragon energy into his eyes ashe glanced at Rex's pocket.

"What's up?”

Rex saw that the person approaching was Lachlan and a hint of disdainflashed in his eyes. He asked indifferently, "What brings you here?"

"I have some business with my wife." Lachlan said calmly.

Hearing this, Rex couldn't help but laugh. "Kid, I call you Mr. Willis justto save face for Ms. Lowe. Do you really think you're someoneimportant? What did you just call Ms. Lowe? Your wife? You can't eventell your own identity?”

"We got married under Ms. Lowe's witness, so she is naturally my wife!Move aside, I need to go in." Lachlan said coldly.

But Rex stopped him with one hand, "Ms. Lowe is working right nowand doesn't allow anyone to disturb her!"

"Okay then, can you please inform her that I have urgent matters todiscuss with her?" Lachlan said with a calm face.

"I already told you that Ms. Lowe is working and I cannot disturb her!"Rex sneered sarcastically in his speech filled with mockery and teasingtone.

At this moment, Shelly stood in the hallway, hesitated for a momentand chose to wait and see instead of coming over.

The argument between Lachlan and Rex immediately attracted someemployees to stop and watch.

"What's going on?"

"It seems that Ms. Lowe's fiancé wants to see her, but was stopped byRex!"

"Doing nothing all day long, still coming to disturb the CEO!"

"Haha, that's just being immature!!"

Listening to the employees" discussions, Rex's face became even moremocking.

"Mr. Willis, you said you have something important to talk about withthe CEO? Then tell me what it is. If it really is urgent, I can let you in!"He didn't believe Lachlan had anything important; he probably justwanted money from Miranda for his daughter's medical expensesagain.

“It's not convenient to talk about it here!" Lachlan said.

"Not convenient? If there is something important, why can't you say itdirectly? Is it too embarrassing? Don't tell me... you want money fromMs. Lowe again?” Rex taunted.

Hearing this remark made by Rex caused the employees who werewatching in the hallway burst into laughter instantly.

Everyone was looking at Lachlan with a disdainful expression, as if hewere a freeloader.

"What's going on?" Just then, the door to the CEO's office opened.Miranda walked out with her eyebrows slightly furrowed and asked."Mr. Willis wants to see you right now and says it's urgent. I asked himwhat it was about but he wouldn't say anything!" Rex had an innocentyet angry expression on his face as if everything was Lachlan’s fault.Miranda's face turned cold upon hearing this and she snapped atLachlan, "What do you want that couldn't wait? You're disturbing mywork!"

Her impression of Lachlan hadn't changed much since they first met; inher mind, he was just a puppet compared to Rex who had beenworking for the Lowe family for years and had been by her side for overa year now.

"Of course I have something important! This guy should disappear fromyour side!" Lachlan pointed at Rex and said in a deep voice.
