Chapter 45 The gift from the commanderLachlan stood there silently, not bothering to engage with them.Reeva heard Maisie and Claudia's taunts and couldn't help but ask,"Lachlan, who are they?"

"Don't know them, don't need to bother,” Lachlan replied calmly.

His attitude infuriated Claudia to the point of grinding her teeth. Thegreatest humiliation in this world was not loud cursing but completedisregard. Lachlan's complete disregard for her twisted Claudia's mind.This poor guy who was supposed to be a fake son-in-law dared toignore her?

Tom also sneered, "Poor bastard. I thought you were really something.Turns out you sold yourself as a dog for the Lowe family missy.Hahaha..."

He looked at Reeva and said, "Beauty, did he bring you here sayinghe'd buy you a villa? Don't believe him! He's just a poor loser! If my wifehadn't come with me today to buy a villa and we happened upon himtrying to scam you..."

Tom emphasized that he came here specifically to buy a villa in front ofReeva. Maybe it would impress the beauty enough for her to like him.After Claudia went home last night she naturally didn't tell Tom abouthooking up with Lachlan; she only told him that Lachlan becameMiranda's gigolo.

"Haha... I'm dying of laughter! He has one of these villas here? What aliar!" Claudia laughed.

"No wonder you can charm so many beautiful women. You really dareto say anything.” Tom burst out laughing.

Maisie shook her gold bracelet and pointed at Lachlan. "So, which villais yours?"

"Yeah, take us in and let's sit down,” Adam sneered, watching Lachlanlike he was a joke.

Lachlan replied coldly, "Are you worthy?"

"What did you say? You poor guy! Your fig leaf has been stripped offand yet you still talk big? If you have the guts, tell us which villa isyours!" Claudia cursed.

"Yes sir, which villa is yours? I know all the owners here but I don'tremember seeing you," the saleswoman teased.

"Lachlan, tell them to shut up!" Reeva believed in Lachlan and wasangry when she heard these people mocking him.

Lachlan shrugged. "Okay then! It's in Block A. Villa 001!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the saleswoman was stunned for amoment before bursting into laughter.

"What did you say? Villa A1 is yours? Sir, this joke is getting out ofhand! Do you even know who the owner of that villa is? It belongs toMr. Harris, the commander-in-chief of Garrison Command. When did itbecome yours?" The saleswoman looked at Lachlan with a mockingexpression.

"Mr. Harris gave it to me," Lachlan said in a low voice.

"Gave it to you? Is that so?" The saleswoman smirked.

"Lachlan, are you going crazy from being poor? Do you have delusionsnow? That's the commander-in-chief we're talking about. What makesyou think he would give a villa to someone like you, a gigolo of theLowe family? Do you think everyone has to give face to people likeyou?" Claudia sneered.

"Hahaha... I'm dying!" Tom held his stomach and exaggerated hisexpression.

Adam and Maisie also laughed so hard they were doubled over as ifthey had heard the biggest joke in the world. Even nearby securityguards couldn't help but laugh out loud one by one.

"Security! Where's security?! Get rid of this liar quickly before someonedies laughing and holds us responsible,” Maisie pointed at Lachlan andshouted.

The saleswoman also waved her hand at the security guard with amocking smile on her face.

Several security guards pulled out rubber batons and walked towardsLachlan with mocking expressions, mixed with a hint of ferocity.

"Kid, go somewhere else and sober up. Don't tarnish the image of theestate here!" The leading guard sneered.

They usually dealt with wealthy and influential people here, which ledto a sense of superiority. They would nod and bow to the rich but showtheir vicious side when facing someone like Lachlan who was "poor".Looking down on others was nothing new!

A dark green military vehicle screeched to a halt beside them.
